Well, a lot these last ocuple of weeks. Gears of War, keep coming back every once in a while, and loving it. Online muliplayer is the shit. Man, it is fast, strategic, and brutal. Lumines Live: The new skins that were just released rock (Heavenly Star OMG!) and this game is amazing, still pissed that my high score didn't get up on the leaderboards, still hoping there is a Mondo Grosso/Eri Nobuchika pack soon. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Justice for All - Great sequel to a great game, lots of fun, great humor, and just as good as the first game. Now I wait with bated breath for part 3, which is supposed to be the best yet. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - got me back into it via some free expansions in the latest Official US Xbox magazine. Finally have otten all of the achievements in the game, all 50 of them. This game still has the ability to suck me in snd not let go. Wow.

PLayed the demo a couple of times. Liked it, just wasn't sure I wanted to drop $10 on it. As far as puzzle games go, Lumines is the best on on XBLA IMO.

I love HBO, not only did they grab Preacher, but now they have grabbed the best fantasy novels of the last decade or so. I dunno how many people here have read the series, a 'Song of Fire and Ice'. It is without a doubt one of the best fantasy series released in years. Much darker and more complex than a lot of what I would consider the more generic fantasy out there, it was refreshing. I have never read a fantasy series where the surprises just kept coming. For those who haven't read it, it is probably closest to the early part of Berserk, but with a lot more politics. Anyhow HBO has picked up the series, and I can't be more excited. From Variety

As far as the control thing, what do you expect? I mean the game was CREATED with the gamecube pad in mind. The fact that it works so well on the wii is pretty impressive. As far as the backwards compatibility thing though, well one compaint is that the GC version of Zelda didn't have widescreen support. So, for people like me with HDTVs that would be a reason to not get the GC one. Can't wait to play this game. BTW I'm gonna combine the WiiView threads.

Ok, each character has 3 quikenings, a level 1 a level 2 and a level 3, each quickening takes a number of mist charges = to its level. Each mist charge is your complete MP bar. You can have a total of 3 mist charges. That's why its possible to have 297/99 MP in the game and shit like that. I leveled my whole party, I would just constantly swap characters as I leveled. It's pretty easy to keep everyone even.

Also, for the record, Skeet is still wrong about Pro-reg, though, I think validity that Pro-reg would have had is completely KILLED in CW by the ham handed writing in the main book. I mean, first you end up making ANYONE with powers register whether or not they are actually being vigilantes or not that's gay in and of itself. THEN you move forward and say that if you are registered, the government can order you into action at any point for any reason they see fit. That is retarded. I mean the implemetation ends up being just as bad as the Mutant Registration Act would have been. Compared to the stuff they leave in the background? I dunno, I mean, their use of the Punisher was a waste, I think it would have been far more interesting to see how say Storm and Black Panther got on the anti-reg side than wasting time looking at namor's genetalia. Since it was an action light issue, they could have at least TRIED to get into the character's heads a little bit, but they don't. I say they are overly simplistic, because, outside of the tie ins, I don't think they have dealt with they grey area of CW nearly enough. I mean if you are pro-reg, you are willing to let people get locked up forever in an alternate dimension if they don't want to be a tool of the government, and if you are anti- well, any form of registration is evil and every superpowered badass in the world SHOULD be able to run around unchecked, because that's their right goddamnit. That's what it basically boils down to. I mean the pro-reg side especially has completely lost sight of all reason It's a shame because there are times when Civil War is brilliant, 4, and 5 were amazing. As far as the tie ins I will say that a lot have been more entertaining to me than the main book. I mean Some have been awful, (X-men) many have been spotty at best (Cable and Deadpool, and YA/Runaways), but some have been great. The Spiderman books have been great, FF has been pretty good (continuity issues aside), I thought War Journal was a good read, and New Avengers has been great as well. Hell the Captain America issues I have read didn't even FEATURE him, and they were great. I think CW is a shame, because it has had a lot of potential, and some great things have come from it, but I really doubt that it can come to a satisfying conclusion with just one more issue. It seems that Marvel bit off more than they could chew with this arc.

Well PW 2 is out, and it's pretty sweet so far. Anyone else have it yet, some of the story stuff is actually really damn cool. I am curious as hell as to where this game is going.

In other news, Final Fantasy I and II are getting remade again, looks like Square Enix is going to milk that cow until it is a dessicated husk. From 1up

Holy Crap the first four episodes are really sweet. I was kinda expecting what happened, after hearing just how crazy the season was though. Still Bauer is the fucking man, I just wonder where they are going to go with all of this this season. I would just like to state this never happened.

Reading the old spoilers isn't working for me either. I just read CW6 and Frontline 10 (not particularly happy with either of them) but I wanted to read other hondonians responses. I see a fun line that says, "click here to show spoiler" and I click, but nothing happens. NOTHING HAPPENS!!!!!! Anyhow my own personal views. My problem with CW thus far has been that it has been far to simplistic in its storytelling, and paints each of the sides as a group of fucking morons for the most part. Other things annoy me too, like outside of Wolverine, no one seemed to give a rats ass about bringing Nitro to justice when HE WAS THE ONE WHO FUCKING DID IT!!! I mean, everyone acts like Speedball and heroes are to blame for everything. It just doesn't make any sense. I will still say that the tie ins have generally been much better than the main book. Also, is it me, or is the art getting worse?

On a seperate note, we can now pop youtube video straight into threads? HOW? I have been wanting to do that shit for ages now.

That Zodiac Spear thing was some horseshit. That was one of the few things that annoyed the hell out of me with this game, it was the fact that there was absolutely NO way that you are going to figure that one out on your own, I mean it's a series of random chests all over the world that you can't open. No visual cues or anything! Overall this game friggen rocks thoogh. Gotta go back and do some of the hunts I never did, I'm nearly 80 hours in and there was still a ton of stuff to do (optional stuff), tons of espers to get, and other shit.

Multiplayer GoW is the shit, I'm still hoping we can one day get a 4-on-4 hondos match going. Edit: 666 posts, man I feel like this one should have been more evil or some shit.
