I know there were three different types of voltron the car, lions, and some weird three man rebot...ANy way PLEASE COMEONE REPLY!!!!!!! Guest Yahve Posted May 8, 2002 Share Posted May 8, 2002 ive allways thought the voltron series a little cheesy, then again all anime is cheesy at times ;) Especially my ol fav mazinger z. my very 1st anime of all time i guess the 21 spaceship voltron is my fav, just of sheer variety in formations and stuff. i dont think the 3 robot one was actually called voltron. unsure tho. Sango Posted May 19, 2002 Share Posted May 19, 2002 Well, mazinger z was twice as cheesy as Voltron in my opinion Yahve...Jack's Meandering Thoughts Astro Boy was the one of the very first animes to have ever been released in the U.S. and if you watched an liked it i suggest that you watch Metropoilis it was done by the same artist...here is some history: "The cartoon Astro Boy is responsible for many of the trademark “Japanimation” techniques still in use today. Osamu Tezuka (Astro Boy’s creator) was a huge fan of Walt Disney and Max Fleischer cartoons, and he drew all his characters with oversized eyes to emulate those American animators. This famed look is a quality still found in today's anime." Anywayz,back to voltron it rocked back in the day but its still a classic....Hello so is speed racer... Isn't it a great coincidence that pops racer named his boy 'speed' and he turned out to be a race car driver? Sometime things work out well like that. Apparently it's going to take place in the same universe as the original series w/ the same characters, only "7 years later" and w/ three "new recruits" that'll train with the original Voltron crew/.
