  1. I can't believe this one got passed Nick.
  2. Hopefully EVERYBODY buys it. We need a sequel now...
  3. Ok, back to zombies. So Baytor, which is your favorite zombie flick?
  4. And for chicks hoping to let their inner-whore out. I just don't get those crazy Halloween costumes. I'm not complaining, but I don't get their thinking. 'I'm not a slut, but I can dress like one for one day outta the year'. Yeah right. Sorry, of topic.
  5. Seriously, why isn't anyone talking about this game!? It was awesome!
  6. Read away, Mr. H. I tagged the only thing I thought might (although, already mentioned) be a spoiler.
  7. ONE OUTTA FIVE??!! Man, at least a 2! Jk. Yeah, I can see why you didn't like it. It's not great, but I at least I had a good time watching it and that was good enough for me. I wanna take it to Nick's so we can all watch it in a group. I think that it'll work that way. Everyone laughing at all the ridiculousness. I'm glad you don't have your list, cause I don't have mine either (my list is no doubt dwarfed by yours).
  8. First off, the movie should be renamed 'Optimus Prime is a Fucking Badass (as if we already didn't know), and Pee Before Starting This Flick'. Yes, it was long, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It was perfect to me. Comedy, drama, romance, BIG FUCKING ROBOTS KICKING ASS, MEGAN FOX!!!! I'm officially declaring her the hottest woman on the planet. I mean, what's up with all this hate? About the movie, I mean (anyone hating on Mrs. Fox should die a painful sexless death... or better yet, with shoved up their ass). Back to the hate. The only complaint I can see people having is the length, but we already now I like 'stuff' good and looooong. Seriously, realism kinda goes out the window when you have alien robots that transform into vehicles in a movie. And the acting? Who goes to see the acting? I mean, this is like 'the Godzilla argument'. I couldn't get how people were like, 'the acting, the acting'! You don't go to Godzilla to see the acting! You go to see the BIG FUCKING LIZARD CRUSH BUILDINGS! Acting is what movies like Schindler's List are for. This movie was part one, but longer! Perfection!!! Man, people are nuts for not enjoying this movie for what it was (except Alana). BRING ON PART 3!!!!!!
  9. Told ya... Thanks for the link, man. Trail and (lots of) error kills me, but I'm a glutton for punishment. I know all about it. I know they're considered classics, but I haven't seen 'em yet. You know, I'm real curious on your list of owned zombie flicks... Thanks for that. What beats Cemetery Man now in boobage is Zombie Strippers. Which I actually liked. What'd you think, Baytor?
  10. That movie had it's moments, but man, was it out there. It's considered a genre gem (and I can see why), but that's still not saying much. So Baytor, your zombie movie knowledge is pretty awesome! Where do you get most of your info? After being sick of hunting down zombie flicks at local video shops, I finally bought a book for some help. Book of the Dead. Man, this book is great. It chronicles the ENTIRE (well up until Shaun and Land) history of zombie flicks. And man, is this thing thorough. Thousands of movies are reviewed!
  11. Yes, and that's a great description! Although, madness is probably a closer one. And it's really that reason why it didn't make my cut. Let me just say though... that chick... was GORGEOUS! Did she not have the most beautiful pair of tits in any zombie movie? I was on the fence for a few days whether to keep it or not... just cause of them!
  12. I read (somewhere) that it was always Romero's wish to make zombies 'smart'. It's the idea that even though their monsters, they're still us. We're not all that different. Like in The Dead Next Door (kinda)! Who knows, I've always thought Romero's flicks had a certain 'realism' to them (it's why I asked the question about aware zombies). Something like that wouldn't seem real to me. RE1 - Great! I loved it! Got kinda weird towards the end, but great. I didn't mind so much about the non-game characters (since I didn't play the game much). RE2 - Crap! I hated it! That movie is a perfect example on how NOT to listen to the fans (that and Spidey 3... yeah. I said it). Fanboys fucked that movie up. RE3 - Better, but still crap. I didn't have many expectations for this, but was hopeful. Nope. RE: Degeneration - Wow! Great flick. Very worthy to my collection. Baytor, must watch! Where and how? Best thing to happen to zombies since the Resident Evil games. I feel that once the 3rd flick comes out, it'll be the British's own zombie masterpiece. Equivalent to what Romero's are to America and Fulci's to Italy.
  13. Fido is the man, err... zombie, but I was talkin' about the idea of an 'aware' zombie. Romero wasn't the first to introduce 'him/her', but he (obviously) finds them important. In my universe, zombies wouldn't ever be like that, but what Romero says what it is. You know, being the Zombie Godfather and all.
  14. So Baytor, what do you think about Romero's 'aware' zombies (Bub, Big Daddy)?
  15. No he didn't. I'm holding it for ransom.
  16. Great movie! I really liked that remake. My boy Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen) did very well in telling the same, but still different Romero story.
  17. Since you didn't say Day, I'm just gonna say it. Nah, Day really is my fave. Not taking anything away from Night or Dawn! Both are perfect in their own way, but Day wins for me. You know, Night doesn't feel dated to me. I watch it every once and a while (probably the one I've seen the most) and it always feels fresh. I love Night, and it's a classic in every sense of the word. Now Dawn. You're totally right about it being perfect. It truly is in every way. Not just as a zombie movie, but as a movie itself (Night too).
  18. That dude above was on to something... So who's bought this other than me?
  19. Awesome premise, but is it TRULY a zombie movie? Hey Baytor, what's your favorite Romero zombie film?
  20. Eh. Was such a fan of the original, I just couldn't get passed the short-comings of the remake. The scene that did it (or didn't do it) was the scene in the hallway when they first encounter the first 'infected'. I was going into the remake with the thought that 'if they don't get this right...'. And you know what? They dropped they ball. What was so great about the original was what that scene did! It was a tight, long hallway that was scary cause it was a deathtrap. In the remake it just didn't feel the same. Go back and see.
  21. You just made my night with that, man. Yes, rabies is mentioned in the original, but they don't have a 'specialist' explain it mid movie. It's just mentioned as a possibility, but never confirmed. Like in the original Night of the Living Dead... a downed satellite that's caused dead flesh to reanimate from radiation. It's strategically placed as a panic tool.
  22. Sigh... yes, but not one I liked very much. Lest Lindsay not hear my blasphemies... Trust me... if it has zombies in it, I'll get to it eventually.
  23. Never looked at it that way. I'd see that, too! I also liked how many of the characters in that movie were named after giants in the zombie genre. Romero, Savini and others. Why can't Hollywood remake that!? Wait, let me not jinx it. Was Quarantine not the crappiest crap of all crap? Now [REC]... that was perfection! Also, a great scene. You know, I'm putting all this positive stuff out on Dead Next Door, but I didn't even like it. It's NOT a great movie... I just think it has great potential.
