i recognize artists have everything airbrushed. but here's a video of her before she became famous. can't airbrush that. now i have come to see that here in brunette form, she looks a lot like an ex of mine named arista. i think lady gaga's earlier stuff is better than what she's putting out now. however, im not surprised to see gaga do some of this stuff - i did hear her do an A Capella on the radio, but it is nice to see more of it here on the thread. notice how much image plays a part on how talent is perceived... seems society sees talent that is pure to be better than weird talent. case in point - marlyn manson and christina aguilera and...

being a dirty pirate, you must really hate me. i watched a streaming movie last night from one of those bring the camera into the movie sites. granted, i didn't finish it cause i couldn't take it anymore because it was so damn crappy... but i am curious how far your conviction goes. you are saying you buy all your music, reading material, etc? what about the gray areas like fansubs and youtube? technically, and this is being super picky - homebrew anything is not endorsed. are you also saying you ask where something came from and refuse? not trying to pick a fight, but clarify where you are coming from. mabye it's just me, but i don't think someone can really go around and purposely avoid everything that is out there... you'd really have to force yourself to do this.

Good call mr Hakujin, i will pay close attention to your thread also. will also try to get around to finally watching high fidelity. gotta disagree with public enemies though, kinda a disappointment if you are thinking you're watching an action movie. i think it's more of a time period movie focusing on john, john, and more john. a lot of him chasing the girl and being with the girl... mabye i'd give it a C. And paranormal activity!!! sorry buddy, love your recommendations but i gotta say... paranormal activity was worse than each of those rom-coms i just posted... er, actually peter and vandy and julia and julie are pretty close. why the hell do the critics like that crap?!? ....... and i give moon an A! basically wanted to get some romantic comedies on here so all the other guys can sit out the ones i wasted my time on.

oh my god!! why?!?! please avoid. more of a drama than a romantic movie, this one is best served cold. like amy adams, but it's hard to realte to these characters and actually care what the hell they are going through. check out enchanted.. yes, it's disney but it's damn good. some really funny moments in this movie. i was pretty happy with the way things were going till about halfway and the end. something about it could have been better. i just don't know what. comon, i review em, not make em. an above average film about a little unexpected suprise... yes, it's not new, but i am behind the times. i can't help but be annoyed at the guy... but then he grows on you like a cancer that won't go away. gotta respect him somehow by the time it's over. so yeah... not bad. OMG! enough with the penis shots... (on the unrated version). this movie is a diamond in the rough. it's quite funny and it has Mila Kunis (my first time seeing her) and she definately made this one easier for me. ok, ok, so the review here is slightly skewed... but dammit - this is definately a good rom-com. it doesn't take itself seriously (coming from the makers of 40 year old virgin and knocked up) so if you liked those, try this one. Not as charming as enchanted and 500 days of summer, but this one really is close!!! definate recommend. It's got mr one eye from x-men and Katherine Heigl who i havent seen in any other movie. Basically typical cookie cutter rom-com but it actually works really well for these two. the ending is really sweet. (if anyone brings up this statement, i will deny everything!!!) Go Renee!!! ok, now that i got that out of the way... here's another cookie cutter rom-com. it's just ok. watch if you really like renee or harry connick jr playing a southern boy.

Finally, a breakthrough 2009 movie... Wow!!! not big on romantic movies, but this has that charm that you don't find in the typical bubblegum rom-coms. seriously. check it out.

really enjoyed the last episode... however, they better pick up the pace cause there's a lot to cover and it's already on episode, what 7? I saw a commercial saying they had either 7 or 9 episodes left! what?!? anyway. reviewing some episodes here and there and i'm beginning to think

really good movie with sam rockwell and the voice of kevin spacey. music was fantastic with haunting piano pieces. can't talk about the story too much, will give it away, but it deals with scifi, loneliness, existence, and identity. truely a oscar worthy movie.

bindusara, sorry to hear you dropped off watching the show. i think the reason a lot of people dropped off is cause the structure changed and it went from more story to more action. Also more questions were raised when in season 1 and 2 you kinda just brushed off the things that weren't answered right away. it isn't for people that are hungry to get the answers right away. Season 6 Ep 4 just came out at this time. I have been thinking about this a lot since I just finished episode 4 of season 6. Eagerly await the next episode, because I don't think this one gave us too much. Amazing revelation about the island: This is a theory that I believe is going to really ruin it for you if it's true.

Was revisiting the Akira manga and just never got through the whole thing. I would have to disagree with it being close to the movie. it is quite different as miyako is a big part of the manga and the blast happens halfway through the story. very different.

No booty calls. nice. Ok, im putting on my flame-retardant suit: didn't like it when it came out (actually didn't get much airplay if i recall correctly) but now i am liking the piano and 80's aura of it all.
