i'm thinking the whole section there is detective section. detectives get more freedom since they don't have to answer calls like uniform patrol do. they still have to fill out a time sheet showing where they are at and their times. the nice thing is they get a lot of freedom when it comes to what to wear and where to be (plus its a little easier to fudge a time sheet when dispatch aint involved).... but not answering your cell as a detective is bad news for you. and re this ep,

I disagree, i think their accents are pretty good. Batista seems quite natural. For now what's going on with him and you know who is kinda boring. Also, deb is someone i've come around to. lately she's been less annoying as in seasons 1-3. maybe i feel bad for her, or she's showing her sincere vulnerability, or she's got some hotness to her, not sure which. and... i have about a million gripes with how their police works. like how dexter can run people.. then run them from home... all persons of interest are flagged. there's a record of who runs what and you'll have the FBI on your doorstep if you run, let's say, obama. fingerprints of people in the system? not likely unless you are a past offender or work for law enforcement. if you run the extended database it could take days. department of sanitation? yeah right. animal services department handles this and is trying to pass it off to public works... sorry, i feel like jumbie now...

actually, doj, my friend... go down the list of the criterion collection for all of their foreign flicks. it's artsy to the uber power. i caught branded to kill, walkabout, in the mood for love and dead ringers - not quite what i enjoy, but interesting mind games/concepts in these. what about salo? heard that movie supposed to be pretty traumatizing.. on a brighter note: a diamond in the rough. no new ground covered here, but the characters are likable and a lot of funny moments. thumbs up! yeah, i'm late to the party, but am pleasantly surprised in this simple, yet entertaining flick. root for the underdog! oh and normally i don't like to see little kids cursing and killing people, but i make an exception for hit girl. recommended viewing! a movie that doesn't take itself seriously and neither should you. a good, funny popcorn movie with some ok action scenes. just plain cool. a fan of antoine fuqua, this is not shooter or training day (both milestones in cinema as far as i'm concerned). there are a lot of squibbs (overly done bullet damage) scenes though. i have a personal squabble with the plot because it's but other than that, hats off to ethan hawke, don chadelle and richard gere to their performances. real good stuff. oh yeah. lots of cameos from former "the wire" actors! only recommend if you like these actors or into cop dramas.

lindsay, it says "stop stealing bandwith" boys don't cry was so depressing... can someone actually say it's a good movie or just watch it if you wanna kill yourself?

seconded... twin peaks is in my que of i'll get to it... but i have seen other lynch stuff and it's all pretty much off the wall. i mean, try muhulland drive for a taste of what he's about. i don't see how anyone could think that lynch is like silent hill.
