A brief trailer shown during a Nintendo Direct presentation didn't offer many details, showing only characters from both games as well as the self-explanatory title. Presumably, the characters from each series will fight it out for ultimate supremacy. In other words, your Trapper Keeper doodles are about to come to life. Further details, it seems, will have to wait.
The NZA
so much hype, outta fuckin' nowhere too. more hype than even bishopcruz could kill~ i think it's a good fit, and i'm day 1 for this. FE got me back into some SRPGs, and SMT always delivers. this could be so awesome.
Newtype
The fact that I have zero hype for this game just shows I don't care for a Wii U.
The NZA
me, i'm legitimately glad Dredd exists, just to see you yet possess the ability to enjoy things
Newtype
As much as I love FE/SMT I'm not going to waste money on a Wii U. and i'm day 1 for this. Your not going to buy this till it hits $15 or less used
Iambaytor
Heh What's the uh... what's the connection here. I haven't played more than 10 minutes of either series here but isn't Shin Megami modern age and Fire Emblem medieval? Isn't Shin Megami a traditional RPG and Fire Emblem a turn-based strategy game? I am so confused.

C_U_SPACECOWBOY
This makes me wish my knowledge of Fire Emblem went beyond Roy and Marth from SSBM. Yet another reason to jump on Awakening for 3DS though!! Edited January 24, 2013 by C_U_SPACECOWBOY

Maldron
well at least now I guess we know it's not some weird tactical game like xross edge that i was afraid it could be. More a melding of styles than a pantheon of cameos. Edited April 4, 2015 by Maldron
Keth
This has a new title apparently. Nintendo showed off some weird Japanese idol game during its digital event. I figured it was not Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem, just like last time they showed what ended up indeed being Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem. Except! Now it seems like Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem doesn't exist? Instead it's a new game with loose inspirations from both series. Right now it's called Genei Ibun Roku #FE -- that being a hashtag and Fire Emblem -- or #GIRFE. Nintendo just had it up on the Treehouse and is tweeting about it, "isn't necessarily a Shin Megami Tensei/Fire Emblem crossover - it's an entirely new experience." It is a completely turn-based game, as seen below. "Music plays a large part in #GIRFE. The songs and dances were created with well known Japanese songwriters and choreographers.," too.
