By Josh Wilding - 10/2/2015 Are you ready for Marvel's first full on comedy? Well, that's what we're getting with Damage Control, an upcoming single camera sitcom from The Daily Show alum and Modern Family co-executive producer Ben Karlin. The network has now given it a put pilot commitment, and the series is set to focus on the overworked, underpaid, clean up crew of the Marvel Universe. Specializing in dealing with the aftermath of the unique fallout from super hero conflicts, they’re the ones who are in charge of returning lost ray guns to their rightful owners, help to reschedule a wedding venue after it has been vaporized in a super hero battle, or even track down a missing prize African parrot that’s been turned to stone or goo. Just how much it will tie into the movies remains to be seen, but there's definitely the potential here for some awesome Easter Eggs! What do you guys think about these plans for Damage Control? Iambaytor Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Maybe they can deal with the giant ice dog from the end of Thor 2 since Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. dropped the ball. Quote
The NZA Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Yeah, this could be really great - hope Patton Oswalt (or one of his many brothers) makes it in Quote
Iambaytor Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 I'm tentatively excited about this. This seems like the riskiest (in terms of tone, not actual monetary danger) venture they've taken. Quote
Da Cap'n 2099 Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 The teaser poster should be the main cast, in various states of fear, frustration and anger, caught on a spiderweb. Quote
