the division of joy Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 i dont think i can say anything unto this wikipedia site, anyone else love em, other than me
IguanaDon? Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 This is awful. No replies? Tut tut tut. Yeah, anyway, they ARE the 80's. True Faith, Blue monday, Temptation, and more recently ( thanks for sending the track ) Crystal, 60 miles per hour etc. Great band! ( They were originally Joy Division, too. )
The NZA Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 CONFUSION aside, you just named all the songs by them that i know, with the exception of bizarre love triangle. Id love to say how i think they were something good and creative for thier time but i dont know more than their greatest hits.
Lorelei Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 aint nothing without ian curtis - never liked them, always wanted to
the division of joy Posted June 5, 2008 Author Posted June 5, 2008 I'd be inclined to disagree, and that kind of thinking bugs me at times, yea, they had most of the joy division members, but their sound was completely different from joy division...
Lorelei Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 I'd be inclined to disagree, and that kind of thinking bugs me at times, yea, they had most of the joy division members, but their sound was completely different from joy division... yeah, which is why i didn't like them as joy division are my favourite band
the division of joy Posted June 5, 2008 Author Posted June 5, 2008 Thats understandable i guess, but i'm in the same boat, joy division would be one of my favorite bands, but then again, so would new order.
the division of joy Posted June 5, 2008 Author Posted June 5, 2008 totally different bands I'm aware, it just irks me when people compare em to joy divison. Or say they're nothing without curtis.
Lorelei Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 I'm aware, it just irks me when people compare em to joy divison. Or say they're nothing without curtis. understand where i'm coming from: i first heard disorder in 04.. thought it was horrible.. found it again in 06.. and it all just clicked. checked out unknown pleasures, you know the rest. checked out no order (i'm a 90s kid) thinking i'd like them as well... guess that's why i compare.. especially since they released substance, which was written by curtis
the division of joy Posted June 5, 2008 Author Posted June 5, 2008 i get where you're coming from, but my point still stands.
