The NZA
Just got to see this one tonight - shit was awesome. Again, i think Pierce was a great bond, but got boned into joining the game later than he wanted, and past Tomorrow Never Dies, was largely given shit to work with. Between The Saint and Bourne, im all about this relaunch. some crazy dogfights & shit, but im a fan of the parkour, so past the opening car chase (which was grand), the italian rooftop/warehouse fight scene was a highlight for me; felt like the fight choreographer was channeling woo ping or something. Its pretty solid across the board, and this film serving to introduce M-16's nemesis group was cool to see. anyone else catch it? thoughts? soldier of fortune
That poor aston martin! for shame! I must admit i really enjoyed it. The desert hotel scene was really good too I agree with Brosnan coming in too late, though Goldeneye was a great bond
Reverend Jax
From the "What was the last film you saw?" therad: No one made a thread for thread this movie, so I'll just say I enjoyed it. If you didn't see Casino Royale, watch it first, as this is a direct sequel, not a self-contained episodic serial. Also, I know they're trying to make these movies more serious, but having a movie end without having Bond bang the main Bond girl is ridiculous. In this case, 1 out of 2 is not good enough. PS The homage to Goldfinger with the girl covered in oil was awesome. Bronson was great, but the last few movies were crap, and the series needed a reboot, and its hard to sell that you're rebooting a 20-film series and keep the leading actor on. 90sKid
I liked it. For starters, it's got my favorite Bond intro EVER, even if I prefer You Know My Name. Still, it is inferior to Casino Royale - which was expected, as they're now establishing Craig's Bond, something that is only slightly less exciting than meeting the new Bond. Anyone noticed how he's not wearing the same suit as in Casino Royale's finale? That was a fine looking suit, if you ask me. Camille > Vesper, but only barely. Jables
Hey Bond. That's a fine coat you were wearing...
crimsonfire
I like it a lot. You can really see how theyre trying to give some substance and edge to Bond instead of more over the top gadgets and inappropriately named women.
