Just read the first two issues of Crossed: Family Values. Enins didn't write it, but it's in the same universe, and the guy writing it is David Lapham. It's pretty fucked up. This go-round focuses on a family that was already severely messed up before the crossed started appearing.

I just listened to the album Plan B - The Defamation of Strickland Banks from end-to-end and it blew me away. It's one of those concept movie/album projects, and if you like R&B/Soul then it's definitely worth your time. Click the link for the lowdown. This is one of my favorite tracks from the album... Yeah, on the surface I can see how that might seem wrong, and Nick used a similar argument to berate me for my ratings of John Woo films. So if you're a surface kinda guy, then you're right. I got nothin' for ya. However, if you go beyond the clever quips, you'll see those films are two totally different genres and audiences go into both expecting very different things. Based on what I read from your and other reviews I went into Wings of Desire expecting a grand cinematic odyssey, an emotionally challenging examination of the human condition heretofore unparalleled by any other film. I didn't get that so much. He's Just Not That Into You I went in expecting to want to kill myself by the first 15 minutes. Instead a got a good rom-com that really hit the nail on the head for me in several aspects romantic relationships. Apples & oranges. In my book He's Just Not That Into You was B+ orange while Wings of Desire was a B apple.

I don't remember much about Insomnia other than I saw it once in the theater and left feeling it was kinda "meh," especially compared to the awesomeness that is Memento. Anyone else excited about Nolan's next film, Inception? I think it looks fucking awesome, but the gf says she's not that worked up about it as it appears to play off concepts (dreams, manipulation of the mind, etc.) seemingly well worn in film... I need to put this one on my "to see" list as well.

I really dug Joel & Rudy's set-up w/ the 360in the living room being an entertainment hub and not just a gaming center. It got me considering getting one. A reasonably well priced periphery such as the Natal (sp?) could push me over the edge. Speaking of things that push me over edges... Do you not want to hit both those adults in the face with bats..repeatedly...or is it just me?

Yeah, I wanna say seasons were usually 12 episodes prior to last season. I'm just sayin' if ratings actually went UP you'd think FX would want more episodes and not less for the last two years. Then again, maybe they're doing it this way and stretching out seasons just to end the show on the 10th aniv. of 9/11. Which is apropos since it's the basis for the series

Huh, weird they're ordering only 19 more episodes over 2 years when the last season had 22 episodes...

All the hype has me interested. Just DL'd a mega torrent a few weeks ago w/ all the issues and will try to get into this one. If Arnah digs it then it must be pretty fuckin' sweet...
