Damn, I can't believe this thread has been sitting here for a month and this is the first time I'm seeing it. Anyway, this is great news and definitely something to help ATLA fans cleanse their palette after the horrible taste left there by the Shamalamadingdong film. Speaking of which... Heh. A very diplomatic "no comment." A much different tone than they had while the film was in production. I've got a feeling they have less than zero say in how their "baby" gets treated in Hollywood. Has to suck seeing something you put so much of your life and energy into utterly stripped down and shat upon by the likes of M. Night Shitstain. This quote also has me wondering... Maybe we'll see Aang in tutor/guide Karra from the afterlife just as he was. Also, the show didn't really address the longevity of skybison. Could Appa be the "C-3P0/R2-D2" of the Avatar franchise?

^^LOTR extended cut still hasn't made it to BR. Also, I'll probably wait until Lucas releases the individual films on BR and/or just borrow or rent them. A friend of Ash's swears the laserdisc is still the ultimate in quality though. She buys those things on ebay for like $4.

Heard of Buckaroo Banzai, but never saw it. I had no idea it starred RoboCop and The Trinity Killer. Also Jamaicans and Jeff Goldblum. I think I may have to DL this one... Also, Nick, this should be DoJ's new user title.

t Damn. We almost saw this one last night but opted for this instead: Ash thought it was enjoyable but "completely unrealistic." I agree, but also thought it was rather light on the action. I went in expecting Bourne style action, but it was not even close to the intensity in those films. All in all not a bad action film, but not one I think is worth plunking down money on for a night at the theater.

Lame that he didn't show, but his artwork is most definitely not lame. It is anti-lame. Panch, it's a pretty fantastic album cover even though Ent. Weekly kind of dissed on it.

I finally got up to speed w/ this season last night. I agree w/ all the Russell Edgington love (that poll really needs to be updated), but as cool as all the AVL vs Russell stuff is, I'm much more impressed by all the great sub-plots for the supporting characters. I'm not sure how much of this stuff is from the novels and how much is new to the show (didn't Lafayette die in the first novel?) but it's damn fine drama. I'm pretty sure them thar's fightin' words. *rolls up sleeves*

Jax, Panch's vid pretty much showed otherwise on her second attempt. It also showed me why MH hates SemiPrecious Weapons. And I agree.

I have [REC] on my HD ever since I read Baytor's glowing review moons ago. I really need to check it out. And I have The Seventh Seal on fucking Criterion DVD but still haven't found the time to watch it. Too many movies, too little time...actually, it's more like too many TV shows that are eating my time these days. But I digress... Huzzah for the return of the Epic Beard of Epicness! You turned me on to this one a while back and I agree w/ the bold statement. However, it'd probably be more in my top 10-15 than top 5.
