  1. I havn't been able to get this song out of my head for a couple of days. It's used in a Sonos commercial, and I finally looked it up this afternoon and listened to the whole thing, and **love** it! Check it out y'all...it's not my normal electronica type stuffs:
  2. This almost always puts me in a better mood: And this guy...man, He loves dinosaurs. And he's pretty spot on.
  3. Just in case y'all were thinking about coming out this holiday season: http://teamcoco.com/...th-george-takei edit - I tried to post the video. If one of you mods knows how to do it...maybe you could ninja edit this so it's the video and not the link. <3
  4. Have you read the sequel "This Book is Full of Spiders"?
  5. Do you have an ereader? I can send you my copy. I have the sequel kicking around somewhere too I think, though I havn't had a chance to read it yet. But...you know what? Tonight I think I'll read it finally
  6. I am such a HUGE fan of this book, and I can't wait to see this movie:
  7. Listen to this in headphones if you have them available:
  8. I had never heard of these two, but my life is a little more awesome now. This song is great!! Do you have a fave album of theirs I should check out>? This song is off my vote for favorite album of the year (Next to Four Tet's "Pink"):
  9. Check out the whole album if you can...it flows really well, and it's a really nifty throwback to 80's synth stuff...esp that epic 80's sci fi movie score sound
  10. For Thrizzle! : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3xlI3dIHMOI
  11. Logan that's pretty fucking rad. Where did you find it? I've seriously been playing with it for 5 min. It's crazy how literally 2 seconds of music can start to consume you, lol. Also, if you like the way that sounds, you should check out a guy called Com Truise. I think you would dig him! I mean...I know it's just a silly program, but I keep meaning to tell you about him anyway. Ill go post something in the music thread real quick.
  12. Ok, so lemme preface this by saying I really did look for this thread before creating one. I could have sworn there was one. But maybe if someone happens upon it we could marry these threads together? DoJ suggested I go ahead and create a thread for Hondo's musicians to show off their work, and so here I am! You all are pretty awesome...I don't think I would have had the courage to show off my stuff to anyone else so boldly, lol. That being said, to the folks who have already suffered through the songs I posted in the other music thread...thank you. Seriously. I'm kinda shy, and it takes a little bit of courage to post my own work here, as I'm always afraid it could have been better, heh. But then I thought...what's the point of releasing an album, if you can't post it for friends to listen to? Plus, this community is full of incredibly talented folks, and I get a kick out of seeing your art, reading your amazing poetry, and in MetalHeart's case, listening to your incredible songs. So to those of you that have some tracks kicking around the internet somewhere, please post them here! I can't wait to hear it Ok, so here are some of the tracks on my latest album (Concrete and Chrysanthemums). Here's a link if you wanna dl it: http://www.headhat.net/webhat/wh028.html <---- it's totally free, and if you get a chance, check out some of the other artists on that label. It's mostly hiphop and crunchy beats...I'm kinda the black sheep of the head hat family, lol. Ok...I think that's it. Well actually there are a couple other songs on the album that I just havnt put on Youtube yet. Also, the covers are different on a couple of these, because I few of the tracks are re-released from an album I did a few years back. I wanted to release them with these other tracks though, because it kinda fit together in a good way. But yea. Thanks y'all, for giving me a platform to do this. It means a lot. And I seriously can't wait to see what everyone else has been working on! Mortiis...I'm looking at you ;)
  13. Awww, seriously, thank you so much y'all. I've been kinda nervous about posting them here. Or anywhere really. You know what though, Im going to start that music thread and explain it there. Um, I guess I'll go ahead and post everything there, and links to the album, in case anyone wants to DL it. It's free!! Hehe. (((hugs)))) to all y'all.
  14. Thank you! I looked for it, and after posting my stuff here, I immediately regretted it because I knew it was in the wrong thread. So you know, feel free to move or delete it. But thank you, seriously, for listening Ok SO!! Jamie Lidell has a new album coming out Feb 18th. Here's a preview of what's to come: Yay!!!
  15. Just got home from watching "The Hobbit" in 3D. Well worth it. It was pretty f'ing amazing. I love that Peter Jackson treats the source material with so much respect. If you go see it you wont be disappointed
  16. So...this is probably the funniest thing I've seen in ages. It's the Mortal Kombat theme that plays in the background that gets me every single time.
  17. So, um...I released an album a while back, and some of the tracks are on youtube. I was kinda debating whether to share them or not, but then I figured - I mean, why put them on youtube if you don't share them? So, here are some of the tracks. Sorry for the spam, and if I put this in the wrong thread I super apologize. I didn't know where else to put these. Feel free to glance over them, because you probably won't like them anyway
  18. Finally went and saw Life of Pi in 3D today. I was so happy that it mirrored the book so well. What's more is that it looked EXACTLY how I pictured it while reading. So gorgeous, and so sad, and so full of hope at the same time. Go see it. And then read the book. Or vice versa. <3
  19. If you aren't using it...may I suggest you do that, and soon. It's free, although there is a paid version you can use. You can listen to the tracks on your playlist even when you're not connected to the internet. And every time you play a song, the artist gets a small royalty. Kinda neat, huh? SO if you're using it, lemme know, so we can trade songs and playlists and such
  20. I really liked the first one too! Despite Pyramid Head in it. But the second one was really lacking. And every scene I really wanted to see made into a movie...just wasn't there. There was so much potential...and it fell flat. I still think there needs to be a movie for the second game. How great would that be?
  21. I am really looking forward to seeing "Life of Pi", as the book is in my top 5. Plus, Ang Lee is a pretty great director, and always treats source material with dignity. I'm going to see it tomorrow, so I'll report back how it is Paranormal Activity 4 was awful. I mean...not scary. It's like the directory tried to be funny. But it wasn't. It was pathetic and awful. Silent Hill 2 was also pretty bad, and I was disappointed about that. It's my fave game series, and the third game could have made a great movie if the people who made it would have stuck to the game, and not gone off on a tangent. Plus, I'm so mad that pyramid head was in either movie, as his role in the second game is so meaningful and terrifying. Cloud Atlas was brilliant. Go see it. All of you go and see it tomorrow if it's still in theaters near you. You won't be disappointed. Esp if you loved the book . I still want to see Wreck it Ralph and Rise of the Guardians. But I will probably wait to see those until they could out on video. I will avoid that one. I hate Kristin Stewart. She can't act her way out of a paper bag, and again - that book is in my top ten, and I don't want to see her anywhere near it. Ugh. Strangely though, I could have seen Robert Pattinson casted, though. But yea. Stewart was in another movie based on a favorite book of mine, called Into the Wild, and she almost ruined it for me. Luckily, her part was super small, and she wasn't super intrical to the story.
