  1. And just a couple other updates. The new mutants, so far, in X2 are - Iceman, played by Bobby Drake (he was actually in the first one, but now his part's bigger), Pyro, played by Aaron Stanford, and Nightcrawler, played by Alan Cumming (a great casting choice, I think). Supposedly Angel is in the movie, as well, but they haven't announced who'll be playing him. Also, Kelly Hu (mmmm, Kelly Hu) is signed on to play a character named Anne. Not sure who that is... Alas, though, no Gambit (sigh).
  2. Yeah, actually, last I heard it's scheduled for a November release (no specific date, yet). Reloaded comes out May 16th.
  3. Oooh, same day as Minority Report, huh? Tough decision. Lilo & Stitch is Disney and I love Disney. On the other hand, MR is Spielberg, and I love Spielberg. It's also supposed to have the Daredevil teaser attached to it. Hmmm. Both, I think. Yes, both.
  4. Well, these are all under the assumption that they could get the original cast and crew, again, of course. But just to name a few... Who Framed Roger Rabbit 2 Ghostbusters 3 Dogma 2 (actually a prequel would be better, cause a Bartleby and Loki movie would kick ass) Mystery Men 2 (as long as they hired a better director) And hey, how about a sequel to The Rocketeer?
  5. Warden: I believe in two things - discipline and the Bible. Here you'll receive both. Put your trust in the Lord; your ass belongs to me. Welcome to Shawshank. Heywood: "The Count of Monte Cristo" by Alexander...Dum-ass. Hehe, "dumb ass"! Andy: Let me see that. It's Dumas. You ever read that? You'd like it, it's about a prison break. Red: Oh, well, perhaps we should file that under "educational", too! (slightly misquoted, but I got the point across)
  6. Ok, admit it, sometimes when we see a movie, we love the characters so much that we really WOULD like to see a sequel about them. Unfortunately, Hollywood never makes the sequels that some of us want to see (Jurassic Park 3 and Jason X come to mind). What movies, if any, do you wish they'd make a sequel of?
  7. Hell, no. Revenge is a dish best served with a side of whoop-ass.
  8. I'm gonna end up seeing it opening night with...my girlfriend. (Sigh) No little kids in town for me to hide behind.
  9. Yeah, fuck ABC. Fuck them up their stupid asses. Jay: (Pointing to Leonardo Tower) That looks like a big bong! (Pointing to a dog that walks by) Hey, wait a second, that looks like a big bong, too! And since I watched the movie again, last night... Eddie: I'm through with takin' falls And bouncing off the walls Without that gun I'd have some fun I'd kick you in the... Roger: Nose! Weasel: Nose? But dat don't rhyme with "walls". Eddie: No, but this does! (kick) Weasel: Aaaaaaaiiiiiiiiieeeeeee!!!
  10. With the exception of the "Problem Child" movies, of course, which weren't all that entertaining in the least.
  11. Heh, a classic. Granted, I never knew the ENTIRE speech whenever I quoted it, but at least I knew the movie. And now a few from an ill-fated cartoon series. "Who is driving? Oh my god, bear is driving, how can that be?" Randal: Do you think Phantom Menace is as good a movie as Empire? Lucas: Well, certainly, I, uh, I think it's the best movie I've made yet. Randal: Permission to treat this witness as hostile. Mr. Lucas, how do you explain that in Star Wars Obi-Wan tells Luke that when he met his father he was a great pilot, but in Menace he's just a little kid? Lucas: Well, uh, my kids thought... Randal: And how come Obi-Wan tells Luke that Yoda is the Jedi that trained him, but in the movie Liam Neeson trains him? Lucas: Um, well, the power of myth... Randal: Isn't it true you knew this was a bad movie, that you wrote it over a weekend but told people you had it written for years! Lawyer: Objection! The pod race was pretty cool... Randal: No further questions, your honor. (to Lucas) I want my eight bucks back.
  12. Always was a big Timon fan, myself, but I'm sure Stitch will rate high on my list.
  13. Well, first of all, there can't be a Final Fantasy 2, because Square shut down their movie studio. Last I heard, True Lies 2 has been canned, because Cameron didn't want to continue such a story after 9/11. Matrix Reloaded and Terminator 3 are both slated for next summer. Episode III is actually probably shooting for a 2004 release. And, unfortunately, Spielberg has said that he has plans and a story worked out for a fourth Jurassic Park, but if he was going to direct it certainly won't be for 2005. He's still finishing his Tom Hanks/Leo Dicrapio movie for this Christmas, and then planned to work on Indy 4, for 2004 or 2005. The odds of him being able to make another JP film as well are pretty slim.
  14. Nah, JMT, this can't possibly be the most-over-quoted thread. Cause we haven't even touched Austin Powers, yet.
  15. Don't worry, he's been shredding my desktop since the first time you mentioned it.
  16. Heh, and there's plenty more. Mr Furious: Don't mess with a volcano, my man. Cause I will go POMPEII on your b-butt... Cops: ...............Boo! Mr Furious: Ahhh! Cop: Kepp dreaming...wannabe. Shoveler: Ok, Roy, let's go. Mr Furious: I will keep dreaming!...I will keep dreaming, my friend!...And when I wake up...you better hope...you better hope you're asleep!...Sweet dreams...lilac!
  17. Mr. Furious: ...or maybe it's because Lance Hunt is Captain Amazing. The Shoveler: Oh not this again! Lance Hunt wears glasses. Captain Amazing DOESN'T wear glasses! Mr Furious: He takes them off when he transforms. The Shoveler: That doesn't make any sense! He wouldn't be able to see!
  18. She's married to Roger Rabbit? Yeah...what a lucky goil.
  19. As do I ::goes and gloats over the James Bond collection that he doesn't actually own::
  20. No to both, unfortunately. Been too broke to get it, yet.
  21. Well, if we went through and found all the holes in the logic of Star Wars, we'd need another forum. I thought Titan AE was a little weak. The story was pretty good, but some of the animation and some of the voice acting was lousy. And that final shot, where it's obvious that they didn't finish rendering the background? That was kinda pathetic. But it wasn't all bad, and it has its merits. I'd say the Iron Giant is better, though. I probably looked weak in the previews because, unlike Titan AE, it wasn't trying to be a big flashy sci-fi epic. It was just trying to be a good movie. It doesn't get enough credit, if you ask me.
  22. Being John Malkovich was in '99, so it couldn't have been that bad of a year. And Fight Club. And Election came out that year, too. See, it wasn't so bad.
  23. Not you bring forth your wrath, or anything, JMT, but for me this one really is "no contest".
  24. Actually, about the "G" rating...Disney's last two films (again, not counting Groove...beware the Groove! Grooooove) were also "PG" just because of all the violence. I don't know who comes up with these ratings systems, though. How many dismemberments have to be in a Star Wars movie before they make it PG-13? And by the way, Junker, yeah, The Iron Giant was a great movie. One of the best animated movies of the decade.
