FML So anyway after finally finding my launch gamecube last week I realized holy shit this was a great system and fuck there are lots of games I never got around to playing... fuck So yes I'm using this to document both my current and growing collection(might be slow as I'm poor) and for all of us to talk about all the shit we used to love. Right now I've got my black console and a couple of controllers and my beloved wavebird(best wireless controller ever) as for games I've got Smash bros, Wind Waker, Skies of Arcadia legends, Zelda collectors disc and eternal Darkness. Things I really want, huge ass list of games GBA Player Orange Gamecube red gundam gamecube component cables(fuck you nintendo) some of the cooler jpn controllers(mario, luigi, wario) maybe a Panny Q someday. Also I blame nick for this! So whats some of your favorite memories?

On the BC front some things, they haven't said anything about ps1 or 2, though Yosida did say that while they wont' talk about emu yet, doing early PS stuff would be very easy to do. Also as for cloud stuff I know one big worry is bandwidth but from what I remember from the DF review of Gaikai and Onlive your basically looking at the same Bandwidth as Netflix streaming roughly 1gb an hour.

get a JP account on psn and get the ps collection, it has english translations and very easy mode(quater of the encounters and like 4x xp and meseta.) playing through the whole series with that, on 4 right now.

Ok I'm gonna save some impressions for when I pick up NSMB this week and get some more nintendo land in. Mal, when you do a friend add, do it through mii verse so I get the request, when you do it through the friend list we both have to add it, through Miiverse you can send the request and message and I see it. also added you back :P Can't wait to finally get some monster hunter on!

nick and I picked up our WiiU's this morning, pretty cool peace of kit so far. only got nintendo land atm but i'll pick up smbU this week and we'll see what else. If anyone gets one my ID is same as here let know yours.

you do know that xenoblade is first party at this point right? and again Retro is god like. Why did you grow to hate zelda? skyward sword has issues I admit and hate but one game doesn't kill the series.

Um newt... why don't 1st party games count? (lets be honest, the zelda's, metroid, mario's, donkey kongs, etc are all awesome kick ass games) I also wonder with p-100 and B2 coming out how much more will we see from plat.... might be more then you think. But seriously if you don't want to count 1st party games then just get a PC and forget about consoles, the reason you get consoles at this point is pretty much for 1st party which is why I can't see myself getting a 720, MS first party blows atm.

the DF article is a good one. There's a long way to go with game streaming, this isn't a move for the short term but rather the long term, and I"m talking like 5 to 15 years down the line when Playstation will be on everything from your watch to your tv. Sony is smart for getting in on the ground floor and thats a good price too, rumors are that onlive is valved at like 1.5 billion which is insane. The tech also has a long way to go as well, remember this is the 1st gen stuff here but for instance they do have bulletstorm running just like it would on the 360 so it's off to a good start.

Sony just picked up D.Perry's GaiKai for 380m(pretty cheap when some say onlive might be worth triple that)... This is a Megaton, huge, lets be real at some point cloud gaming is the futrue much like music and video streaming are today, it still needs a way to go but it's coming and by doing this sony is finally getting out in front of everyone else. easy stuff is things like ps1 streams to your vita or ps3, cooler stuff is ps4 games streaming to your tv or phone!. thoughts? Oh and sony also bought the better tech, Gaikai can run anything and works in a broswer, onlive requires a client and needs the source code to port the game to their service. Gabe from valve has also said he likes gaikai better, though rumors now have valve and microsoft as possibly putting in bids for onlive.

well see, this thing with the comics on amazon might be something new, I'll assume some kind of drm but we'll see when they come out, not really a lot to go on just yet.

I would hope that this would go the way of amazon mp3, when you buy them it's put up in the cloud and you can choose to download them or use an app to access them for streaming, that way you could make back ups or choose to stream. You know now that I think about it, I'm curious if this works that way too to some extent. I really want to know if you can only download it to a fire. if not then you should be able to back it up once you convert it to a non kindle format.
