The Hellsing manga rocks at least 100 fold more than the anime. The anime was okay, but when they were making it the manga hadn't finished so they went their own direction with it.

Seems like a well writen article, don't see why they wouldn't keep it. It shows up in pop culture often enough to make it a relevant subject, albeit a stupid one.

Yeah, sorry, I meant that 6 of the first 12 volumes were used; everthing that wasn't a flashback wasn't in the anime. And I'm pissed at Dark Horse for not finishing the Hellsing manga. Fuck, the series is already finished and the creator is working on the prequel set durring WWII and here Dark Horse is stuck on volume, what? 7 or 9? And all they do is re-release what they have in hard cover editions; what the fuck's with that?

Shinesman was definately better dubbed, rare but true, another one that is surprisingly better dubbed is Bubblegum Crisis 2040 tv series.

If you want music in Anime try "Black Heaven: Hard Rock Saves the Universe."

Daiguard can be watched either Subtitled or Dubbed, while for any non-japanese audience, Shinesman is better watched Dubbed (it puts the plot in better context for the visual gags)

If you want some bubblegum quirky mecha you can try Daiguard. Cool premise, clean animation, and surprisingly good story. It's 26 Episodes. If you want a one-shot along those lines there's the Shinesman OAV. Both involve the idea of "Japanese corporate pencil pushers who save the world as a second job to score extra cash." Think Excell Saga with a Dr. Strangelove feel because they try to take themselves seriously in the animes and the humor come from the whole surreal situations the heros find themselves in.

They're suppose to be making another season to keep up with the manga series which is like up to volume 30+... keep in mind that the first "season" follows only the first 6 volumes and even then cuts out most of it.

It was still a great series.

But I didn't see the final episodes surely all their trials and tribulations would be rewarded and that the end to their suffering would come to a happy conclusion...
