    Pixar

Hey P-Chan was the name of the movie Lilo & Stitch ?
  2. Speakin of Unbreakable...I still havent' seen the extras off my own DVD. I think that a certain has to come up with some serious answers. :p I'd love to go...but might be too akward and had a bad experience with the last drinking party. So no alcohol for a little bit. Well atleast until the next retreat.
  3. As per the direction of the silly here is a thread just for all of you to name your favorite Sandman Arc. None of that new Dreaming stuff. How's that series going anyhow? *Spoilers* My favorite story arc is Brief Lives with art by Jill Thompson and Vince Locke. I finally got me a 1st edition hardback copy and I enjoyed rereading such great writing. This story arc is Delerium's (the youngest of the endless) search for her MIA brother Destruction. Classic story really. I really like when she gets really serious in Destiny's Garden. And when the Lady calls her a person. There a comical stuff and serious stuff. But I really like how everything comes together. You get to know more about Morpheous' only son and see some stuff on Joanna Constantine. Gaimen is a great writer. It's ashame that he dont' writes much comics these days. One day I'll watch Neverwhere and read American Gods I swear.
  4. I wanted to catch this flick in the theater, but sadly it didn't spend much time there. If you are looking for a good action flick to waste some time, you should rent it. It's got some good stuff in it. *Spoilers* While watching this movie, I couldn't help but think of Rising Stars. The fight scenes were awesome and Jet Li did a great job. I heard that he turned down Matrix 2 for this movie. This one was almost Matrix like. And if you enjoy Rising Stars you'll like the One.
  5. Wow TD you really want to get flamed by Nick don't ya?
  6. Mulan

    Pixar

Oh I think I know which one you're talking about. It's the one with that little alien. One of the previews he steals Jasmine away Aladdin. Oh and he steals Ariel's spotlight in another.
  7. Argh...been slacking in Moderator duties. Junker seems to claim movies all for himself lately. Well here's my rebuttal. I finally watched the long recommended Sleepers and I was really impressed. I really love Robert Deniro and Brad Pitt in this movie. I feel like such a dork for putting off this movie for so long. What do you all think about the movie? I know it came out a long time ago, but I think it was a damn fine movie for it's time. Second parter here...if you watched the new Count of Monte Cristo with Guy Pierce which movie did you like better. I know bacchus will probably say Sleepers was better cause he didn't think the actor of the count could pull off the revenge bit. Well here's space for you express your opinions. *Spoilers* I really love how Pitt and the boys got revenge on Bacon's character. Did anyone else but me notice that one of the witnesses was none other than Janice Soprano My question is was this suppose to be like a modern day Count of Monte Cristo? Because I think it was excellent. I was freaked out at certain moments, but that's hell's Kitchen for you. Where's the Punisher when you need him?
  8. Well I guess there goes my Fotress of Solitude idea. crash and burn. Well if I have to choose from these picks...I guess Xavier's Institute is the best. From the past arguments it does signify what it's suppose to do. But I'm with TD and I think it might be too indepth for some folks. Not everyone's into X-men and might not know who who's Xavier is anyhow. Alright mr. Admin...I hope your choice wins. :wary:
  9. Tis ok my little pig cute. But I thought jojo seen it already. she was the one that pointed out that first scene out to me and alita. ugh...boys.
  10. I know what you mean. I was afraid to lean too much to strazinsky's side. Yeah he's really good. And smith only does short mini's and though his stuff rocks. Strazinsky does put out more stuff and it's all quality too. Though he's got a hard time putting the books out on time, he's quality makes up for the lateness. so hmm...guess that seals the vote. I hope that smith can forgive me for not picking him. Considering I've made myself his personal advocate. Oh well...Hail J. Michael strazinsky...
  11. Good poll, but I'm torn between my two favorites. You've gotta love Kevin Smith for bringing back a dead character and make him damn interesting. Yet Strayvenski (sp?) can write these bad ass stories that makes you wanting more. Midnight nation though I was hesistant at first, is turning out to be a really cool book. I guess that's the sci-fi lover side of me talking. But Kevin Smith is the king of dialogue. He can make anything into a hot selling book and bring Marvel back from the dead ie. Daredevil. Even Oni Double feature and Walt Flannagin's dog... So again...I'm torn. I guess I have to wait til I'm drunk again and vote on impulse.
  12. Though degrading to women...but damn that was funny. Even couldn't pass up postin that article. ;)
  13. Are you talking about the Eva Ending movie? Cause if you are...I have it and could lend it to you if you like.
  14. There's that one body shot scence of chichiri.... ;) He is a hot character...but still gotta love Tamahome.
  15. Umm P-chan there might be a slight logistics problem with getting escaflowne for the retreat.
  16. one thing is for sure...Frank Miller rocks. Man I'm dying to finish reading DKSB. Atleast the people making the new batman year one movie were smart enough to bring miller on the team. We don't really need another tank girl do we? :ill:
  17. I like Fotress of Solitude well because I suggested it in the first place. Superman is the most noticeable comic character out there. And we people think of the Fotress they think comics. Or how about Kirby's dreamland? :kirby:
  18. Ice Age totally rocked! I really like Dennis Leary as the Sabretooth Tiger. Pixar did a really good job with the animation. But should this topic be in the Anime section. Shouldn't it go under movies?
  19. Wow are we really suppose to list all the books we are currently reading or have read? Well I'll try to do both. Don't think I'd go into too much description cause did that plenty. 1. Green Arrow Kevin Smith is a God. Seeing him on panel just further reaffirms my faith in this man. He's all about dialogue and dang he's a master. 2. Ultimate Spiderman, Ultimate Team-up Bendis is just too cool. Didn't think a teenage spidey would fly but Bendis knows what he's doing. 3 Bone, Rose Jeff Smith's Epic with little bone creatures and who could forget the great cow race? 4. Amazing Spiderman, Midnight Nation, Rising Stars Hail Strazinsky he's just never cease to amaze me. I 'm also reading DKSB, Ennis' punisher, origen and Ulitmate X-men. Whew is that all of them ?
  20. I think writing is very important, yet art has a part in the success of a character. One case of good writing and bad art I think said something about Garth Ennis' Batman book. But Gaiman's Sandman had great writing and Great Art. Love Amano and some of Mckean's stuff. And you got Dillon backing up Ennis. I don't think great art can salvage a poorly written character.
  21. I still like The Dreaming or maybe hell's Kitchen
  22. I think it's a good change. I like the sense of accomplishment if you finish all the post in one section of the forum. The categories are relevant and fun. Good job babe.
  23. I think you told me this riddle and I think I told a few people on this board as well. It's still cute. But not sure how the masses will handle it.
  24. The OAV's are okay. The ending isn't as heart wrenching like the regular series ending. But still good nonetheless. The OAV does go more into the future and does pick up where the series left off. Now the funny part is the little in betweens like the bus tour or bad play. Still that we were missing the last of the bus tour. From what alita told me it's some funny stuff.
