  1. Yeah, Daredevil and seasons 1 of Punisher and Jessica Jones are still the peak of Marvel's output for me. Street level has always been my shit, there's a reason Daredevil, Punisher, and the more grounded Spidey and Wolverine stories are my favourites to read. I'm really enjoying Hawkeye as well, episode 3 is the best so far, great chase scene. I honestly have never read Moonknight, I tried reading a suggested reading order but it started with his origin and I couldn't get through it.
  2. So what did we think of Shang Chi? I enjoyed it, I liked Shang Chi and The Mandarin, his motives were better than most of the MCU villains. I do feel a little bit of cookie cuter fatigue creeping in for me though. The fighting wasn't anywhere near as revolutionary as I was hoping. I find myself being more excited for the tv shows now than the movies, maybe because they can tell more long form stories and aren't as tied to the often bland third act final battle.
  3. Not accurate. Season 1 is definitely the best season, it's a little more serious/believable but still also fun. After season 1 it becomes more melodramatic, crazier and pretty stupid...but I still love it's cheesy goodness. Don't go in expecting Breaking Bad. Go in with a WWF brain turny offy watching mode and you'll love it.
  4. It's sad because it really was a great show, it slowly slid into averageness interspersed with a few great episodes, but then quickly descended into actual crap. I watched a couple of early episodes recently, and God they were night and day. If they weren't willing to finish it they should have walked away and let someone else take over
  5. I'm happy to pay my chunk as one lump sum, instead of the monthly patreon. I can't remember how much I'm currently paying each month. How many others are currently on patreon besides me?
  6. Every review I hear from fans and critics convinces more and more to wait for Disney+.
  7. I'm totally down for a Sci-fi Apocalypto.
  8. Apparently it's going to be a full blown comedy.
  9. I'm so excited for this. We really were spoiled in the 90's weren't we? Some of the theme music to those really were amazing, not just this and Batman, but Gargoyles was amazing as well. Also the Spidey show had a great twist on the classic (though that really doesn't hold up sadly). The Hulk and Iron Man also had good themes. This is my favourite cover though (shock!)
  10. Nick has claimed three, Jurassic Park and two of which are not pictured here (Batman Forever and The Incredible Hulk, I still have to find them though), but I'm sure ye can share/fight. I also should also have Mortal Kombat 3, Athlete Kings, Sega Worldwide Soccer 97 and 98 and FIFA 97 up there somewhere (I know you're just dying to compete your football trilogy )
  11. Nice! I love seeing original scans. I always felt the art never looked better than in it's original pencil stage.
  12. Is that Spidey original art? I really need to send my Saturn games your way, you and @Newtype can divide them up or something. They're just sitting in my attic currently.
  13. Although Black Widow's best parts were the family reunion stuff....
  14. Interested to hear your thoughts once you've seen it. I hope they're simply holding back in the trailers and it's not just a feature length family reunion.
  15. I had very little interest in Sony's non Spidey Spideyverse. I haven't seen either Venom, and the first trailer for this did nothing for me. But I'm oddly finding myself getting more and more intrigued here. MCU Vulture doesn't hurt either, but genuinely, as a movie this looks like it could be fun if nothing else.
  16. Am I the only one who's just kind of "eh" about this one? No clip or trailer has grabbed me in any way. And I've never read the comics so I have nothing but an interesting cast and the MCUness to go on. Black Widow was the first MCU movie since Thor I didn't see in the cinema, saw Shang Chi (had a lot of fun with that) but this is definitely looking like wait for Disney + for me.
  17. I don't really know this character very well, but she's essentially Marvel's Plastic Man (who I'm also not that familiar with honestly) right? If so maybe they don't want to step on Mr. Fantastic's toes as Fantastic Four are on the way soon.
  18. Had you started it? I'm four episodes in, it's not wowing me, but I'm definitely enjoying it, and was looking forward to more. Hopefully it gets picked up.
  19. My cousin said that that was the case, he's a huge anime buff. But I'd go with your recommendation.
  20. Is it just me or was the acting terrible here? So wooden. Felt like a fan movie with money. Slightly related question. I've been advised that I should be watching the dubbed versions of the anime not subs, that the creator considered the dub the better version. Is this true? I usually avoid dubs at all costs.
  21. Well it's back in January of next year, but it's nearly back. Why does twitter embed sometimes but not others?
  22. Intrigued to see where they go with it. I really liked her in Wandavision.
