The NZA Posted January 8, 2012 Share Posted January 8, 2012 2010, bro seeing that dude fly through Flying Battery Zone was cool, i took forever getting that area done cause i couldn't keep the flame shield. and yeah, finally got around to playing Chaotix a few months back - man, was that a weird game. the rubber band thing prolly sounded like a great co-op experience on paper, but didn't pan out that way at all. The NZA Posted January 8, 2012 Share Posted January 8, 2012 nah - how far did you get into it though? i admittedly only gave it a few levels. i was genuinely having fun with 4's first stage (even if the boss was a rehash) and some of casino night zone, but zone 2 of like every area has some bullshit that pushes me back to CD. Playing TF2, Fallout 3 and Sonic 4 Episode II a little bit every day (I cant play episode I because for some reason it wont start all of a sudden :/ ). Since I didnt got to finish the first episode I dont know how difficult were the levels. But, Oh God!! The guys who designed the levels for chapter 2 are masochists!! At least on 3 parts of the different zones there are moments that are literally rage inducing. On Oil desert Zone, White park zone and Sylvania Castle zone there were parts were I found myself dying and dying and dying without any hope of passing. Eventually I advanced, but goddamit they were difficult. I dont know if its just me that im getting old and didnt play a platform game or a sonic game, but I remember them being much more fun. The NZA Posted January 25, 2013 Share Posted January 25, 2013 yeah, i finished Sylvania Zone (just gotta do the boss fight), the physics are slightly improved from ep 1 but my bigger problem with that one was level design, it just fell apart about halfway through the game for me, around spring yard zone i wanna say? this one feels a lot better so far, and yeah, if you wanna stay around the top of the level there's more challenge there as well.
