I can kind of justify this one in my head. It's just a lot easier to buy music these days, and kids can go buy ONE song for a buck or something (disclaimer: I have no idea what music costs, but that's what I've heard).




Celine Dion's “Falling Into You” sold more copies than any Queen, Nirvana, or Bruce Springsteen record





Dammit Jumbie, why do your people have so much disposable income?




Same with Shania Twain's “Come On Over”




Shit, I can't blame the gays for that one.




Katy Perry holds the same record as Michael Jackson for most number one singles from an album

Todd in the Shadows did a review of Gotye's "Somebody I Used to Know" and Fun's "Tonight (We Are Young)" and pointed out that there's no valid reason for them to have been on the pop charts other than that they were featured on Glee. He then went on to make the revelation that Glee is this generation's MTV.
