Keth Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 I wasn't sure if this warranted a thread, if anyone feels it should be merged with blargh or even your collection go ahead, but I thought it could be cool. Any collectors show us your toy setups, cool photos/poses. pardon the dust DOG HAIR 2 Quote
Da Cap'n 2099 Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 Gimme dat Vision. I've had to rearrange my space because of the 55 gallon tank(!) I bought the turtles and the overflow of Disney Infinity I'm currently up to my ears in. Pics when I get everything fixed. Quote
Little Nemo McFly Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 Cool figs n' set ups, Axels! Here's what I got going on on top of my cpu: "General Oroku Grievous hunts down Master Hamato Yoda and his students..." This thread is a good idea, btw. Plus One. 1 Quote
Mr. Hakujin Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 I see what you did there, Nemo, and I like it. I'll have to get to around taking some pics soon and contributing to the utterly beautiful nerdtastic geekery going on in this thread. Beautiful it is. Quote
Little Nemo McFly Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 I whittled down my Star Wars section to a single shelf of graphic novels, guide books, visual dictionaries n' mulit-media...and figures. Quote
Little Nemo McFly Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 The dimness of my shots bug me - I moved 'em around n' played w/ sum lighting and went with the 'extreme close-up' approach. Much better - still figuring this out! Quote
Keth Posted April 24, 2016 Author Posted April 24, 2016 Having some fundam with my Gundam. You know I ain't sorry Quote
Keth Posted May 11, 2016 Author Posted May 11, 2016 Built this cool motherfucker a couple nights ago And now I gotta get stands for all of these guys now. Makes them look so much more badass Quote
The NZA Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Sega shelves comin' along - everyone welcome Earthworm Jim (through soil, he did crawl) to the fold! there's a few more gashapon ones, and some expensive stuff Gamepro did a while back that i'd love to find loose one day (Beat from Jet Grind Radio, Crazy Taxi etc) but man, this guy has a bunch of custom ones that are awesome! Cool Spot, Battletoads, Golden Axe, Zombies Ate My Neighbors...fuck amiibos, i want these! Quote
Da Cap'n 2099 Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Where... where... did you get that leaning MJ? Quote
The NZA Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 i believe he & some others came in an MJ box set thing? i found one for sale loose, came from china so god knows if its legit but it looks cool! and i like Ulala from Space Channel 5 interviewing him, since they were both in that game too Quote
Da Cap'n 2099 Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Awesome! Also, I remember Ariel & Eddie had that Cool Spot in that IG pic. Maybe Lil Caleb will let it go for a good price. Quote
The NZA Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 man, i wish i remember a cool spot figure...*edit awww shiiit and mega man: wily wars was like mario all-stars for the early games, but sadly we only got it on sega channel - UK & JP had it, it's stupid expensive though. after that, it's just 8 and X3 + X4 for saturn! Keth Posted June 18, 2016 Author Posted June 18, 2016 Working on a new display setup with some box shelves 1 Quote
Da Cap'n 2099 Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Waiting for the pics to load is the bain of my existence. Awesome set up, Axel! I assume. Quote
Mr. Hakujin Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 (edited) Finally snapped a few shots. Here we go... World's Finest Originally this was a rogues gallery only, but I just got Rey & BB-8 from the Disney Elite series & had no room on my SW shelf, so I placed them here for now. I put Chell next to them to give it a girl power vibe. Also, color scheme win for BB. My guest room and the (mostly) Batman corner. This started off as an 80s shelf, but I kept sticking other stuff on there. I need to rearrange it one day and get it back to it's purely 80s glory. Marvel Select figs are great, but they're so outta scale w/ the 6" lines that I only have a few. Paul Rudd Ant-Man I got as a gift, but I bought the Cable b/c obviously so I had to get Deadpool to complete the duo. Then Baymax, Edna Mode, and Gypsy Danger trying to take down Godjira, who you can tell if you look closely is eating Giant Man, snuck into this shot Edited July 15, 2016 by Mr. Hakujin Quote
The NZA Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 damn! i want to +1 cable/deadpool and a buncha other stuff, but all that boxed stuff makes my heart hurt Quote
Mr. Hakujin Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 Heh, that's cute Nizzlers. But I'm a sucker for well packaged figs, and hanging on the wall is an easy way to rotate displays. (Guess you're not ready for the TMNT, SW, and Funko ReAction pics then.) Quote
Da Cap'n 2099 Posted July 16, 2016 Posted July 16, 2016 I'm back on the packaged figures bandwagon. Ever since I went crazy with Disney Infinity, just for them to cancel em, has me wishin I had left them in the box. Oh well. Quote
The NZA Posted July 17, 2016 Posted July 17, 2016 ehhh....if you're gonna resell them, i guess if not? your place looks like a department store...it just strikes me as weird. they're toys; you either play with them, or display them proudly. leaving them sealed up is like sealed games, CGC graded comics, etc....their's literally no point. don't mind me, bish keeps too many sealed amiibos around this apartment. it bothers me on an existential level. Iambaytor Posted July 17, 2016 Posted July 17, 2016 It also makes you a speculator and speculators are the worst sort of people. 1 1 Quote

Ever since I went crazy with Disney Infinity, just for them to cancel em, has me wishin I had left them in the box. Oh well. I don't get it - if you had 'em packaged up, they could be re-sold? Easier to store / box-up? Now that they've been cancelled, I got a good idea what the cap on my collection is gonna be (I only really, really want 'bout 2 or 3 more). Been working on my Infinity shelf accordingly, last night. It's lookin' kew. Again, I very much play the game - so I like 'em accessible n' enticing. One day the system will stop running, the figures will one day no longer 'function' - but the consolation for the physical DLC, are some pretty damn-nice looking figures. As a collector n' gamer, win-win - on my end, they're gonna stay up - price: one dedicated shelf. Quote
