The NZA
hearing the OS/emulation is pretty bareboneds...looking for more impressions here
The NZA
Playstation Classic confirmed to have PAL and therefore 50hz games in the line-up these are the titles affected Battle Arena Toshinden* Cool Boarders 2 Destruction Derby* Grand Theft Auto* Jumping Flash!* Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee* Resident Evil Director’s Cut* Tekken 3* Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six* my interest here is sadly plummeting
Jables
Awf that's sad and inexcusable. Sony's not exactly hurting for money and while I'm not sure of the comparison pricepoint there in the US, for reference the NES & SNES minis are AU$100 and the Classic is $AU150. For that considerable mark-up I'd expect at minimum the same care in presentation as Nintendo's offerings.
The NZA
everywhere else too - woof that was fast was just telling panch I'm holding out for close to $40 after reviews painting it as a so-so emulator box
Stilly
Considering I saw an article (or video, or something, I don't remember, I'll have to try to find it) stating that the SNES classic is better at emulating PSOne games than the PS Classic, I'm not surprised... https://snesclassicmods.com/how-to-play-playstation-games-on-your-snes-classic-mini/ Edited December 27, 2018 by Stilly
The NZA
so amazon is dumping them for $40 and i bit because fuck money, frankly hooking it up soon but the controller at least feels legit, pretty much the pre-analog OG PSX one of course, it's long since been hacked wide open, apparently using a public key is frowned upon in modern times
Dag
So now it's down to $30. I'm tempted to bite. Is it worth it for $30?
picoraptor
I'd be curious to hear more too. Disappointed they didn't go fully customisable on the library. I mean, there are barely 3000 ps1 titles...how much work could it possibly have been... No Twisted Metal 2 = no dice
The NZA
you can totally hack it and put both twisted metals! @The Vagrant - given your use of an Pi, this is easier & possibly more versatile so i think it's worth it, it's been down to $25 recently as well
Visitant
With the price dropping and it being hackable, i think i might get one now.
