dante Posted September 24, 2004 Posted September 24, 2004 I highly recommend FMA to everyone. I've seen up to the 49th ep and I'm salivating for more. The storyline has twisted almost every episode, so it's hard for me to describe it briefly. But the basic plot is about two kids who practice Alchemy and a journey they set out on after breaking a forbbiden rule of it. They can basically alter the composition of elements in objects using transmutation circles (and they also have to know what the object is composed of) into something else, usually something useful. I say that it's a little like Trigun in the sense that its humorous at times and serious at others. More serious nearing the end of the series.
The NZA Posted September 24, 2004 Posted September 24, 2004 That's funny, this guy at work was tellin me he had the full run on this series today...didnt describe it like that tho. The "comedic, then serious at the end" is very Trigun-ish, for me...still, its worth checkin out when i finish Berserk. And Gungrave. And if i can find that Ninja Scroll series. And try out Wolf's Rain.
dante Posted September 24, 2004 Author Posted September 24, 2004 if you want to check out the first episode let me know
MetalHeart Posted September 24, 2004 Posted September 24, 2004 Cj loooooooooves FMA!! I do to, but I haven't really seen past ep10, so I can't say that I"m a hardcore fan yet lol. ooooh at AKON, they had a HUGE Al replicant! Metal... and everything haha. It was pretty neat.
dante Posted September 24, 2004 Author Posted September 24, 2004 Is it ok to say I have many favorite characters in FMA? I mean, I just loved most of the main ones. Al, Ed, Winry, Mustang, Hughes, Lust,...I could keep going but I'd ruin many of the characters yet to come. I'm actually thinking about starting from the beginning again until the other eps. are out.
SuperEeyore Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 ooohh ooohhh!! I am upto episode 45...damn Winmx wont download fast enough!!! DAMN IT! I was told that there are only 52 episodes. So, your almost there Dante.
Da Cap'n Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 I just saw the first 3 episodes today (yeah I just lost my FMA virginity) and I really liked it! I'm lookin forward to checkin the rest of the series!! This is crazy for me cause I'm not really into anime (except DBZ, but that don't count)!! Now that I'm workin' at "Anime", I really wanna start gettin into it!!
SuperEeyore Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 I am now downloading episode 51...eeeeeee!!! If you guys are up to it I can burn the episodes and we can agree to get together at someone's place and watch them.

Aoi Inu Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 Can you believe I still haven't seen this? I need to see if I can steal it from Baka Neko. SuperE and her say it's great but I haven't gotten around to watching it.
dante Posted January 12, 2005 Author Posted January 12, 2005 The American dub sounds bad. I'll take the Japanese voices any day.
Eternal Usagi-Chan Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 I've seen maybe one or two episodes on adult swim and let me tell you, I hate English Dubbed. But I had the whole series on my coputer before I had to reboot it so I lost all the downloads. ALL 51 EPISODES!! But it's an awesome anime!!

Aoi Inu Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 That reminds me...I've gotta put them all on DVDs...I was gonna make a menu for them so I can watch it on some DVD players :P Really? So yeah... if I give you a disc, can you burn it for me or can you let me borrow it to burn it? Help a friend out!
dante Posted January 13, 2005 Author Posted January 13, 2005 it'll take about two DVDs. The whole thing is about 8 1/2 Gigs
Aoi Inu Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 Is that a yes then? Let me know, I'll steal- ... uh... I mean borrow 2 DVDs from my parents' stash and I'm good to go.
Maldron Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Well, this hasn't seen love in a while. For the unaware, Bones is rebooting the series in April, this time with the aim to follow the manga more faithfully. The manga's story was incredibly divergent past a certain point, but a chance to see new Fullmetal episodes is an exciting one. To reiterate: They're starting everything over from the beginning. Past that point, stuff's bound to change. A trailer: It basically tells you nothing, but the animation clearly is a little different.
