Aartemys
Senshik's is "Metro" by Berlin & Jax's is "Oliver's Army" by: Elvis Costello ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I keep your picture upon the wall. It hides a nasty stain that's lying there. So don't you ask me to give it back. I know you know it doesn't mean that much to me.

Jont
Nothing to do with the game, but at the time of writing Metal Heart's away message on Aim was "So you can me cum, that doesn't make you Jesus." A line from Shania Twain's "That Don't Impress Me Much" if I'm not mistaken, who'd have thunk it.

Reverend Jax
OK, that one was too hard... You know that chick that used to dance a lot Every night she'd be on the floor shaking what she'd got Man when I tell you she was cool, she was red hot I mean she was steaming And that time over at Johnny's place Well this chick got up and she slapped Johnny's face Man we just fell about the place If that chick don't want to know, forget her Edited September 16, 2006 by Jack's Meandering Thoughts
The NZA
"The boys are back in town" by something something. This thread will double as "which song is in your head" once its deciphered by jax. Jocko says "Yes," and I believe him, When we talk about the things I say, She hasn’t got the faith or the guts to leave him, When they’re standing in each other’s way... You’re tripping back now to places you’ve been to, You wonder what you’re gonna find; You know you’ve been wrong but it won’t be long Before you leave ‘em all far behind... Reverend Jax
You really getting into your Guess Who, son! That's the seamless transition verse that binds together the double-whammy song No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature. Most of the cast that you meet on the streets speak of true love, Most of the time theyre sittin and cryin at home. One of these days they know they better get goin Out of the door and down on the streets all alone.
The NZA
i know! im all about them tonight. mebbe cause i talked to this morning, and he reminds me of drinking, talking politcs & philosophy over classical music...he was all about them, and whoever sang "long cool woman in a black dress." Anyway, theyre fucking geniuses for this shit. i think i know yours, but ima sit this round out before its just us circletextjerking. Reverend Jax
Long Cool Woman is by the Hollies, who was formed by Graham Nash, who in 1968 left the Hollies to form rock's first supergroup, Crosby Still Nash & Young.
The NZA
Shit...really? i never knew that was him. That's cool. That's like when i figured out Sting was in the background of "I want my MTV" after all those years. and im with Skynyrd: fuck young, southern man dont need him around, anyhow.
Reverend Jax
I didn't know that was sting. It's from the song Money For Nothing by the Dire Straits, but I never knew it was Sting.... Skynyrd wrote that line in Sweet Home Alabama in reaction to Young's song Southern Man. Here are the lyrics in full: Southern manbetter keep your head Don't forget what your good book said Southern change gonna come at last Now your crosses are burning fast Southern man I saw cotton and I saw black Tall white mansions and little shacks. Southern man when will you pay them back? I heard screamin' and bullwhips cracking How long? How long? Southern man better keep your head Don't forget what your good book said Southern change gonna come at last Now your crosses are burning fast Southern man Lily Belle, your hair is golden brown I've seen your black man comin' round Swear by God I'm gonna cut him down! I heard screamin' and bullwhips cracking How long? How long? Now, does this call to end racism, segregation, economic subjegation and lynching enrage you the same way it did Skynyrd? The NZA
god yes, those things are as american as apple pie. i also lean towards skynyrd sounding awesome, and Young not so much, to me anyway. Yeah, i read that Sting was literally in the next studio or so over, heard them practicing and offered to jump in; i dont think anyone was gonna refuse such a request in the early 80's. Listen to the track sometime (its a great song), once you realize its him, you cant miss it again.
