Lycaon Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 I can't believe this didn't have its own thread. There were some posts in the movie news thread, but not many. So, Who watched the newer episodes involving the 9th and 10th Doctors, and what did you think? Also, will there be more? (Haven't finished watching the Series Two episodes with David Tennant). Quote
Newtype Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 I've been wanting to watch this. Is it better then the original. Quote
Lycaon Posted November 24, 2006 Author Posted November 24, 2006 Haven't watched any of the previous Doctor (1-8) shows, so I couldn't tell you. These are pretty damn good, though. Oh, and think there'll be more in Spring 2007. Quote
Maldron Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 Behold, THE RESURRECTION! Seriously, what's up with your search engine? I type in "Doctor Who" and this is option sixteen, below numerous things that don't even have "Doctor" in the title. I hate making repeat topics, and if I can't trust the engine to tell me what's been told before, I have everything to fear. New episodes of Doctor Who begin today. Which I am absolutely thrilled about. I'm giddy with torrent-lust over this one. Series Four begins today! Doctor gets to go to Pompeii in one of 'em. Hell, he'll probably end up causing it, knowing that chump. Quote
Newtype Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 I need a well seeded torrent for all the seasons. Anybody know where to find one? Quote

Maldron Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 I need a well seeded torrent for all the seasons. Anybody know where to find one? I've come to trust [MM] for quality Doctor Who and Torchwood videos. Isohunt is where I typically find them both. However, I can't find much in the way of seasons one or two on there. Three years after the fact, I'm not terribly surprised. I'd loan you the DVDs, but you live outside of walking distance. Quote
Newtype Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 I'd loan you the DVDs, but you live outside of walking distance. It's only a few hours by plane. Quote
Newtype Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 Same to you, buddy. But if you fly to where I'm at not only do you meet me which would be a major highlight, but you'll meet half of the members that post. You got to use your head a little more man. Quote

alive she cried Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 i've seen a couple of episodes of the old dr. who and one of the new ones. it's not really my cup of tea, a bit too childish Quote
Iambaytor Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 Which "old one?" The show has existed in some incarnation since the 50s. fucka Star Trek Quote
Maldron Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 (edited) Absolutely loved the new episode, by the way. There's something adorable about walking animated fat. Edited April 6, 2008 by Maldron Quote
Lycaon Posted May 6, 2008 Author Posted May 6, 2008 Trying to catch up. Almost finished with Season/series 3, epsiode 3. Quote
Maldron Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 Son of a whore. I like David Tennant. I'm not sure I want to see him go. Whomever they've grabbed to replace him has a verrry short window to make me not immediately hate him come next week. Quote
Lycaon Posted June 30, 2008 Author Posted June 30, 2008 (edited) Just caught up with the episodes they've shown in the US (the Forest of the Dead). Which means I'm about two three episodes behind (I think). Edited June 30, 2008 by Lycaon Quote
Maldron Posted June 30, 2008 Posted June 30, 2008 Yeah. Personally, I wouldn't watch the finale in america, I'd download 'em. The last episode is supposed to last an actual hour, and it's likely that Sci-fi will butcher it down to size like they butchered the titanic episode. Just saying. Quote
Lycaon Posted June 30, 2008 Author Posted June 30, 2008 Oh? they've edited them? Maybe I should just start downloading them all, then. Quote
Maldron Posted June 30, 2008 Posted June 30, 2008 The Titanic episode at the least - Britain has 1hr12min long, but Sci-Fi showed it in an hour with commercials. The finale is supposed to be a similar length, so they'd probably pull the same crap. Quote
Maldron Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Alright, so two years later and Matt Smith has taken the reins. I'm not sure if it's withdrawal or if it's fact, but "The Eleventh Hour" is one of the most exciting episodes of Doctor Who I've ever seen. What's better is that e didn't pull a deus ex machina out of his ass at the last minute, he formulated a plan and followed through on it. I had no problem growing attached to Smith in the role either, which is nice. Anyway, loved it. Trying to revive the thread again. Quote
Genroh Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Which "old one?" The show has existed in some incarnation since the 50s. fucka Star Trek Actually 1963 was the first of the first Doctor Who (William Hartnell) episodes to air. I think Smith is going to be a great Doctor. I will miss Tennet greatly (Alonsy~!), but I was pleasantly surprised with Smiths performance thus far. I also love his Patrick Troughton (2nd Doc) attire. And HEY! A Doctor Who forum! I this show, novels, audio plays and comics. Tom Baker, Jon Pertwee, David Tennent, Patrick Troughton and Sylvester McCoy are my personal favorites. And Roger Delgado (The original Master) is THE BEST (who)villain ever! Quote
