  1. Did not like. I understand the necessity to add padding to make an adaptation of The Killing Joke feature length. I even think I understand what they were trying to go for with the first 30 minutes. I imagine they felt the need to add all that for the sake of casual viewers who might not be familiar with Barbara, so that her part in The Killing Joke proper resonates. Problem is, there were absolutely no ties (direct story or even thematic) to the main narrative. Then there's the coda: I remember TKJ feeling like a punch in the gut. Maybe it's just that I'm so familiar with the story now, but this just fell so flat for me.... That said, Conroy & Hamill forever! So glad they are both returning for Justice League Action!
  2. Wow. This was the first major purchase I made for myself. I LITERALLY emptied my piggy bank for this one (actually it was a 3 foot tall Coca-Cola bottle bank that I'd been filling with quarters for a couple years). Still have it, plus I have one of the see-through green versions, new in box which I bought 5 or 6 years ago (maybe longer..) in case my original ever gives up the ghost.
  3. A couple months ago, when the rumored pantheon shift to Norse Mythology was revealed, I was hoping that they would ditch Kratos all together. I suppose it doesn't necessarily have to be the same Kratos, and I understand the character design harking back to the original trilogy (actually, if we're counting the PSP versions, its a sextology isn't it) but give him a more Norse sounding alias/variant on Kratos.
  4. I'm hopeful that this is shares more with the late Silent Hills than just Reedus's involvement. There's certainly a macabre and creepy tone to the annoucement. There's something about the 5 human figures floating in the skyline that haunts me.
  5. Are we gonna talk about Kojima's new joint?
  6. Berserk Musou might finally finally let me get over PS2 era Millennium Falcon Arc game never coming over....
  7. Finallly! AND it is based on the Zodiac International Version, with some additional improvements/additions, like improved load times and a re-recorded score (but you can select the original apparently). I remember I was playing this on my first run PS3 fat. I'm still at the entrance to Giruvegan, and have been meaning to go back and finish the game for the better part of a decade (Christ...). Damned if I know how close I was to finishing, but I supposed I might as well wait for the remaster at this point.
  8. Not to poop on your parade Nemo, but no thanks. There can't possibly be anything contained in those additional 30 minutes that will justify sitting though the rest of that movie again for me.
  9. At least it doesn't feature erotic violence.
  10. I like your tastes Axels, your X-film line up is spot-fuckin'-on.
  11. No no, I believe Haku is thinking of PEGGY Carter. Peggy Carter is the aunt of Agent 13 a.k.a. Sharon Carter.
  12. It Follow, yes! Goodnight Mommy, yes! Babadook.....eeeeeeeh. Seriously, was super, super stoked for Babadook after seeing the trailer, but I found it pretty meh.
  13. Happened to see an article about it coming out on another site the day before the pre-orders went live. Set an alarm and put my order in the minute it went live, so didn't have an issue thankfully!
  14. I just put in my pre-order for this baby at Iam8bit, the site that put out the really nice Hotline Miami 2 set! Soundtrack is by Disasterpeace, who also did the fantastic soundtrack to 'It Follows'
  15. First Avenger wasn't bad, but I was pretty meh about it. First Class and Days of Future past were both great.
  16. Dang. What is it with super hero trilogies? There is ALWAYS at least one bad entry. Blade Trinity, X3, Spider-Man 3, Iron Man 2, The Dark Knight Rises. I was hoping the 'First Class' trilogy would break the cycle, a near flawless trilogy but it's not looking good (I'll reserve judgement until I see it of course). I guess the 'Cap trilogy' would arguably be one of the best, now that Civil War is out, although I didn't care for First Avenger (definately bottom 3 in my personal MCU rankings)
  17. Donny, here is your sadness in the form of a Haiku: Let's see Civil War! Sadly, it was all sold out. In Lieu, BvS.
  18. I believe the report says it's coming in March, not May, and I sure hope the dev kits are already in the hands on some key 3rd party developers. 11 months on new hardware is not that much time to put anything of substance out nowadays. Part of me is thinking that when they say NX 'launches globally' March 2017, they mean that's when they are planning on releasing the NX Nanoswarm into the atmosphere. SkyNX, here we come. Nin World Order. Better get used to wearing your friend codes on an armband folks. Still it might be an improvement after 3 months of President Trump by that point.
  19. HA! Did you finally get around to watching this? I recently started watching it when I noticed it was available On Demand. Forgot how much I loved this, but I much prefer the original japanese voicetrack, so much so that I went back and started picking up the special edition blu rays (see my Pick up posts )
  20. Jackman's say he was done with the character before, and Jackman also said that he would come back if Marvel and Fox ever got around to a similar deal to what's being done with Spidey. I wouldn't be surprised if they held off on recasting until it's absolutely certain that he's done.
  21. To be honest, I haven't had much time to mess with it. When I first took it out of the box (same time I took those pics) I thought the joints felt a little wonky, but I haven't had tried to pose it yet. It has some diecast parts (the waist and the feet/ankles I believe), so if feels super solid and plants really well. The sculpt on Krang himself is awesome, and he actually has some heft to him. Also, he has articulated tentacles, so that's awesome. The Man-droid also has a switch on the back which illuminates the stomach cavity with a blue LED. I NORMALLY frown on the non-licensed figures (a friend of mine has a ton, like the faux-masterpiece Megatron) but this one was just so spot on, I had to grab it. The only issue with it is it's a bit pricey! I preordered it from Lunartoystore.com 3 or 4 months before it came out (the version I got is a re-release with a chrome finish on the metal pieces). They had an 'early-bird' special for $130 if I'm not mistaken. The new chrome version is still in stock there for $159.99, which is a little below the retail price if I'm not mistaken. I've seen some on ebay as well (both chrome and original versions).
  22. They had been throwing Metallo around as a villain for some time, and that's where my mind went immediately after hearing the casting. Didn't realize they had cast him as a hero though. Manhunter is as good a guess as any. Interesting how Justice league is quickly becoming a Spider-man Raimiverse reunion....
