  1. I will concede that Malekith was super forgetable villan, but it did not detract from the movie for me. I'd rank BOTH Thors high, but I might be biased by my Danish half. Iron Man 3 is in my top three for the MCU. Well....maybe top four now.... :p
  2. My first foray into Non-liscensed Action Figures. This is "Cerebral" from the company First Gokin. I thought this guy looked incredible. They also have a "Shredder" coming out that looks equally amazing. More pics below:
  3. Couple things that came in the mail over the weekend. Bravely Second Collector's Edition is A LOT bigger than I was expecting!
  4. Feast your eyes on the map of Red Dead Redemption 2 (if this leak is in fact real)! Rumors are that it will be a prequel, supported by the map not extending as far west (in fact, the western most portion of RDR2's map is the Eastern most portion of RDR's map). The Tall Trees and Great Plains areas from RDR one can be seen in the southwest corner of the map, including the city of Blackwater. I went ahead an did an overlay of the two maps to get a sense of scale (see below). Certainly larger than RDR, but honestly I was kinda hoping for a much larger world map, as exploring was my favorite part of RDR. Still super excited if this is real!
  5. Is this the ORIGINAL one? Also, no Vita release ?? I got the Everafter version of Blood Drive on Vita.
  6. I've been on a Vinyl kick recently as well, especially since I realized that Amazon Autorip (where you automatically receive a digital copy of an album when you buy physical) also applies to most LPs! I've been picking up a lot of movie and game albums, as well as limited run pieces. I've been grabbing the Data Disc Sega series that Nick's posted above, except I actually jumped on Super Hang On (to be honest I almost passed on it too, but I gave in as I knew the gap in the spine numbering would eventually drive the collector in me mad). I'll post some pics of everything soon, but one came in yesterday that I had to post asap: This is the first release in the Generations series of limited Vinyl that a company called Brain Wave is putting out. It's a 4 LP set including the complete soundtrack for BOTH the CPS-1 and CPS-2 versions of the arcade board. Beautiful presentation, with an insert with interviews with the original composers and original artwork. Can't wait to see what's next in the series.
  7. I'm of the mind that they waited FAR too long to get these sequels out and any interest has since dried up, but then I never would have guessed that this would have been the phenomena that it was back in '09. I thought it was SPECTACULARLY average back then, and yet it went on to become the top grossing movie of all time. Thankfully Star Wars VII finally eclipsed the domestic record.
  8. Based on the acronym title, I think that is EXACTLY what this is....
  9. I never even considered that they'd have him attempt an American accent. He sounds like Hugh Laurie in House!
  10. Nearly played through in one sitting the day it dropped. Its incredible how much of this game is hardwired into my memory. Brought back sooo many memories too. It's one of those remakes (I described Rebuild of Evangelion 1 the same way) where they somehow tap into the collective unconcious of what every one REMEMBERS the game looked like, and brought that to life somehow. The audio is particularly impressive, as the music and dialog switches when you toggle between remake and original. Man, that dialog literally POPPED back in the day, the compression was soo bad. Considering that this was the first 'talkie', the performances were away ahead of their time!
  11. Man, those Pro tips made me feel so sad / old
  12. I never thought I would be so fucking excited to see Mon Mothma!
  13. Man, It's hard to believe that, by the time it's released in September, it will have been just over a decade since the reveal trailer. I think I would have jumped off a bridge if they finished off that trailer back then with "Coming in 2016". Sqeenix better up their production if they want to hit FFXXVII by 2027, as promised in Deus Ex.
  14. I will proudly rock a little Mermaid infinity. I've already got the S.H. Figuarts Sailor moon and Tuxedo Mask and the full line of Madoka Magica Figmas, so a miniature Ariel would be low on the list of things I would need to explain to company
  15. Woof. Glad some people are finally chiming in. I was expecting a train wreck ever since the first plot details started to leak. It sounded like they were pulling inspiration from too many disperate story lines and points in the characters histories to make a cohesive plot that would resonate and without the writing and directing talent to make it work (I was NOT a fan of Man of Steel). After seeing it....damn. I think the movie fell SO hard on it's face, in SOOO many ways, that I don't even have the heart to criticize it too hard. I have more of an urge to be the guy to help it up and give it a half hearted pep-talk so that I don't read about how it hung itself it it's garage later on this week. Some assorted thoughts....
  16. At first glance, I thought they had Cyclops in his basilisk mask from the age of x storyline. Zooming in did not help...
  17. Best Buy also has a sale going on this week with a bunch of figs at $8.99 and a smaller subset for only $4.99. Also the Gamer's club discount stacks! I picked up Hulkbuster, Darth Maul and Quorra for $3.99 each.
  18. I'm actually super excited for this. I'm a major Crystal Skull apologist, I think it had a ton of great moments and sequences that more than make up for the nuclear fridge and Mutt Williams, King of the Jungle. Think about this though, it will have been over 11 years since Crystal Skull when Indy 5 drops. Christ.....
  19. I really think you should Spoiler Tag that image ASC!!
  20. Damn, you beat me to it. I've been trying to post this for an hour, but I couldn't get the embedded code through my mobile device! In regards to the trailer, apparently Leslie Jones is playing the blue-collar 'everyman' (everywoman??) role a la Winston. It's 2016 people, we can't have a black scientist??
  21. Newt, I notice Daredevil vol. 1 is missing. Intentional omission of Smith's run?
