Man, I read this topic and was hoping it was the Garth Ennis Hitman.... -
I picked up the Sexy Brutale, What remains of Edith Finch and Walking Dead New Frontier Season Pass.

How is this in the 5th season already??

Nah, they've done some solid stuff. I have reservations, but I don't think it's the end of the world.

Lemme know when you're ready for RE7 Nick.

What was the last film you saw?

Sat down an watched Gerald's Game last night as well. Great little flick. Really well shot and well acted. I can't remember the last time I was so squeamish in a movie. There was one scene in particular where I literally held a pillow up over my face and was screaming "GAH! GAAAAAH!!! Nuuuooo, noo, nooo, nooo, NOOOOOOOOO!!". Also if you're a fan of King, it's strewn with little references to King's other works. -

Glad to hear that it's been getting praise, but I'm not entirely surprised. I have faith in Denis Villeneuve. He was an inspired choice for this, and the material is smack dab in the middle of his wheelhouse. -
Brotherhood moves a little faster, it was episode 7 in the original series.

If you had the Switch version, you coulda done BOTH!

Man I loved Wizard! Hope they can become relevant again in the digital space. My first issue was #11, which was the first Spawn cover (maybe this is the one you had Haku). I've still got it around somewhere, along with the rest of my issues. I think my second issue was #13 (2nd Ghost Rider cover).

My copy of the collectors' edition came yesterday and the box it came in is fuckin' enormous. I couldn't take any pics yesterday, but I'll post some tonight.

I'm excited when Ian McShane is cast in anything, but I was hoping he would be play some other role. I don't see how you could top John Hurt for Bruttenholm. I honestly think that's a higher bar than even Perlman as Hellboy.

Theo, my boy, Rudy. I was in LOVE with this around when it came out (christ, it was over a decade ago...) and heartbroken when Cosby's people slapped it with a cease and desist. In light of what's been revealed about Cosby in recent years, I don't think a revival or cameo are in the cards.

I done googled this and apparently his claims of being the 'standard bearer' of the Henson legacy are pretty over blown. Apparently it was Brian Henson that picked him to take up the mantle, and the Henson kids are on board with his ousting. Apparently he's kind of a jerk and continually made some pretty ridiculous demands. Again, just did a cursory googling, but as usual seems to be two sides to the story...

I wonder if they're dropping the two pilots per Jaeger angle...

Not Animation per say, but Thunderbolt Fantasy is a Japanese/Taiwanese co-production that aired in Japan last summer. It's a 'Sword Saint' style puppet show and it is incredible. I got put on it by a friend towards the end of the 13 episode 'season'. It's truly a marvel to behold, and a great story to boot with a TON of twists and turns. The character designs all look like they were done by Yoshitaka Amano (they weren't), but the script was penned by Gen Urobuchi (of Madoka Magika!). I just recently introduced it to Panch and he's about 10 episodes in. Had always intended to make a thread, but never got around to it until now (actually Panch gave me a heads up that if I didn't put one up soon HE was gonna do it LOL!) Here's the first episode so anyone who's interested can get a taste. Full season is up on Crunchyroll. Really a great show, and a second season is currently in production, so there's more puppetry goodness to come!

Marvel Cinematic Universe (phase 3 & beyond)

Well, they've announced there will be two more spider-man sequels, so figure that will take us to 2023/2024. Seven years, three movies a year, AT LEAST 21 more films. -
Depends on which version. In the alternate (edited) cut, he slips, falls and electrocutes himself.

A coworker of mine built one when he had difficulty getting one of the NES classics. If you run into any issues Vagrant, let me know and maybe I can ask him for pointers.

Twenty-ONE games. That's less than $4 a game, for the greatest games of that generation (a few of which are among the greatest games of all-time). And you can't compare NES and SNES games on a 1:1 ratio in terms of bang for your buck. 21 SNES games >> 30 NES games in general, let alone with the line-up you've got here. Sure there are some omissions I'd love to see on here, but none of them glaring imo. I LOVE Chrono Trigger, but I can play that on at least 4 other systems. I would have lost a bet about Actraiser, Pilotwings and Final Fight being on there, as all three of those stand out as 'Look what we can do with 16 bits!' titles, but in retrospect I don't know if their exclusion is a huge loss. DKC2 would have been nice, but you have to have the first one, and I wouldn't swap any of the other 20 titles on there for it. All-Stars would have been a bit redundant given the NES classic line-up. Turtles in Time is a classic, but I understand the licensing issues probably associated with that one. Zombies Ate My Neighbors and Sunset Riders would have been great, but they were always dark horse candidates. Personally I would have loved Metal Warriors from Konami and Metal Marines from Namco, as they were two of my all time favorites, but again pretty obscure. If we really look at it, this is the ur-list from which all our SNES classic wishlists came from, with the surprise inclusion of Star Fox 2, which NOBODY saw coming. This is pretty damn close to the dream SNES classic we were all imagining last year.
