  1. My goodness... Sometimes I forget what a terrible show Friends was
  2. Yeah, she totally sings just the way you would expect her to. And yeah, she's gorgeous. I think I'll always love her after that shot in Almost Famous where she leans down to the camera and says "One day... you will be cool."
  3. Shodunn88h: It's not a good look. Shodunn88h: It appears as if I might read poetry at any second... justeattendant: haha justeattendant: in the middle of a sentence justeattendant: yeah so the other day i waSHE LIES IN BEAUTY LIKE THE NIGHT Shodunn88h: Man today was a beDON'T GO QUIETLY INTO THAT GOOD NIGHT. 4. So Hoffman denied the rumors about him in the next batman.... “No one has talked to me about it ever — never,” replied Hoffman. “It happened, like, five years ago, too. It was a rumor back then and it’s still a rumor. [laughs] It’s just in the press. It’s funny.” To further cement this issue, Hoffman added that he’d never met Nolan (”Maybe I did or met him in passing?”), and that his interest in comic book movies is purely on a fan level, and he intended to keep it that way. “I’m such a fan of those movies,” related Hoffman. “Comic book movies in general I look forward to — I am a real cheerleader for them. I want them to do well because those are terrific stories. As a kid I was a big comic book collector. What [Nolan]’s doing is taking it in a whole other exciting great place. I’m more a fan, so the interest of being in it isn’t that great. It’s more the interest in wanting to see the next one. It’s probably better that way.” When further pressed for his level of interest if Warner Bros. approached him about the role, Hoffman said, “I don’t know. I think I’m more interested in seeing someone else do it. I don’t know if I’d be a good Penguin to be quite honest. [laughs]” I kinda liked that rumor, even though Penguin is pretty annoying...
  5. I thought there must have been... but I couldn't find it earlier for some reason
  6. So I finally got these on DVD and I am reminded of how utterly GREAT this show is. There's not a single person that doesn't carry his/her weight. Gob: I'm an ideas man Michael. I think I proved that with "Fuck Mountain". Narrator: While on the set of Wrench, Tobias had snuck into the costume closet and disguised himself as an English nanny in an attempt to see his daughter and prove to his wife he had what it took to become a successful actor. It was the exact same plot as Mrs. Doubtfire... Tobias Fünke: [after Lindsay answers the door] Why, hellooo. My name is Mrs. Phlyddia Featherbottom, the agency sent me over. Lindsay Funke: Uh... I didn't contact any agency. Tobias Fünke: But I can cook and clean and even take care of the little ones. In fact, if it comes in handy... I can sing a song or two... Narrator: And maybe a little Mary Poppins to throw in the mix... Tobias Fünke: A squirt of frosting down the throat helps to take your medication / In the most delicious way... Buster: Oh, my God, she's after our money. Michael: No, we don't have any money. Buster: Oh, my God, she's already taken our money. Michael: Gob, I'm going to need you to sneak Mom out of rehab. Gob: Gee, I didn't think the woman I'd be checking out at Spring Break would be Mom. Buster: She's better than the whores you date. Gob: Don't call my escorts whores. Buster: Mom's still got it. Gob: I don't date whores. Lindsay Funke: Stop it, both of you. This objectification of women has got to stop. Michael: It's just Mom and whores. Lucille: [upon discovering Lupe in bed with Buster] [to Lupe] Lucille: And yet you're too busy to polish the candlesticks? You're fired. Buster: You can't fire me, I'm your son. I'm firing you. Lucille: I was firing Lupe. Buster: O-oh, that makes more sense. There isn't already a thread for this is there? (and indeed there is... I wonder why I couldn't find this earlier??)
  7. I know there's a way to send music and stuff over the internet, but I don't know how to do it. Otherwise I'd send it to you. I'm so very technologically incompetent :-D
  8. She & Him Vol. 1 I liked Zooey Deschanel before, but this pushes it right over the edge... Her voice is beautiful and original and her songs are just great. I don't even like chick singers, generally.
  9. Topanga! Our generations Winnie Cooper :-P Cody will like these...
  10. In My Life is so one of the most beautiful songs ever... and For No One has a wonderful horn solo. I think a lot of what was so wonderful and revolutionary about the Beatles was George Martin, so here's some love to a great music producer. And he did it again with Love! Just brilliant... I think he's my favorite Beatle :-D
  11. This might be the only way to get me to play monopoly... :-D
  12. Late yesterday actually! :-D It was wonderful... I can't tell you how depressed I am to be back :-P

  13. Tribal techno? :-P I have MSN and AIM but I'm almost never online. I got out of the habit and now there's no one on there that I've talked to in like five years... but I've been trying to get on more lately. amandamorrobel@hotmail.com

    AIM: justeattendant

  14. Like I said, I'm far out of the loop... but I will definitely download some, see waht I like :-)

  15. I bet! I wish I had seen them... I never go to concerts, I'm quite out of the loop as far as music is concerned. I'm always the last to hear about anything

  16. I'm ashamed to say my knowledge of them so far is limited to knights of cydonia on guitar hero... though I've been meaning to get around to it. I'm listening to nothing but Arcade Fire and Interpol these days so it hasn't been on my mind...

  17. Well you're not that old... :-P

  18. Tootsie :-D I had never seen it, mainly because the pictures of Hoffman in drag were enough to scare me off... but it was hilarious!
  19. Cool... I went though a phase about a year ago where I listened to nothing else. Drove everyone nuts. They're brilliant :)

  20. :-)

    Who's the Smashing Pumpkins fan?

  21. I can't go on, it's 132 pages long :-P

It's one thing to relive old times, and quite another to go back and read about other people having a good time...

I figure it's the easiest way to catch up with all the in jokes and stuff, though... sometimes I have no clue what you all are jabbering about :-D
