  1. Heh, nah don't have that that I've noticed. Gave up on it for a bit due to gratuitous unfairness. (AKA no fucking way in hell can it be humanly possible to fight my way out of where I am even with FULL health and FULL ammo) So I'm taking a break for a bit.
  2. MOO3 is gonna kick ass!!! And as far as PC patches yeah sometimes games get rushed out the door and need heavy patching, sometimes (like Diablo 2) game balance is an issue online and occasional tweaking needs to be done. But all in all, Most PC games come out working well and any patching is optional to improve the game if you like what the patch does. Games are actually better in recent years about patching than before. When floppy disks were the mainstream data format, Bad disks and irregular compression, disk spanning errors, a whole shebang of things could go wrong. Or flat out the game ran out of room and you had to DL a patch to finish the install, or get a very basic game and Dl all the enhancements. Honestly I had to swap out Disks so often because of retarts smashing the boxes on the security device magnets i felt like kicking people. CD format rocks. So... PC game patches happen, but 90% of the time its not a hassle. usually quick Dl times and easy installs.
  3. I dunno chief, The rims might not look to great but that body kit is pretty sweet, but then again I'm a sucker for Nicely done street car re-styles.
  4. The Gas Company is the Pilot light on the ASSHOLE of the world.
  5. ...But Street racers don't mercilessly Massacre helpless safety cones! ::flees::
  6. Went to take the Fort worth Police Exam yesterday, 100 questions 50 sentanve structure and 50 reading comprehension. Fortunately the area thats always been my Forte. Smoked the test and finished prolly in the first 100 or so in about 50 min out of the 75 allotted. Left feeling i got a MINIMUM of 98 but possibly 100. Lottery number in case of ties was 598 (out of i think 600) But My take on it I scored so high I didn't need a high number so chance gave my the shit number so someone on the boarder line could Luck out. Feels good to know i've actually got a good shot at being a Cop and making some decent money while keeping my city safe. B)
  7. Live does kick ass, I've got secret samadi, Live, and the newest one (yellos with stars on the CD) which is different from their old stuff but still pretty good. Listend to them quite a bit on the long drive from FL to TX and back. Great music to get you going.
  8. Thats just it. If i've gotten to the middle of a book and been pissed i'm reading it I let it go. If i get there and I've not had a hard time picking it up or and turning to like it then I finish it. My main point is to try as best i can to get midway through the book before I cast it aside as Crap. By the midpoin the story is well on the way and you can usually determine where you stand on it.
  9. NICE I'll have to look for this in my cable listings. this si a definite MUST SEE. :werd:
  10. I'll admit they have a point, While the show is still very funny the Plots themselves have been on the decline as far as trying to portray a more realistic sitcom family. While i don't think the show is going to "jump the shark" as some say and plummet in quality anytime soon I think the main culprit is Time. They've been one of the longest running TV series ever after a point everything gets done. its like the one episode of southpark, "simpsons did it" that alone shows how muchthe simpsons have actually done and how hard it can be sometimes to keep fresh stories chruning out. Maybe some new writers on the team would help, or maybe run with the more comedic aspects of it and keep it going as they are.
  11. That "damn mixture" saved my taste buds from certain doom at Columbus. :werd:
  12. Had one of those spotlight moments today. We had assumed the Computer in the conference room here was Wired up and ready to go for a very crucial training session this afternoon. 15 minutes before the meeting My boss heads in to boot up and get everything started... and nothing happens. He calls me in (being the unofficial resident CPU tech) and points at the mass of unplugged cables. I get the machine set up and going and upon logging in I realize Crap, theres no Network cable. So basically I have a paperweight with pretty lights. My boss of course gets extremely pissed at the MIS guys who were suppsoed to do this yesterday. In a moment of bravado (or stupidity) I said "Don't worry gary, I'll have this machine running by your meeting." And he told me to go ahead and get it fixed. I walk to the patch panel and realize the reason it isn't connected is that the panel is FULL, no more physical slots avaliable in the lower ports. So I think to myself "Shit, why the hell did I say I could fix this? I don't know fuck all about this tangled mess! What am I gonna do!" Then after calming down a second I ran over to check the connections on some as-yet unused PC's and found a labled port. On a hunch and some limited experiance I rerouted it to the conferance room and programmed in a new user for PC to accept for the training session people. By the Time MIS got here the problem was solved and the training session was well on its way. Got surprised looks and thanks from MIS and My boss for quick thinking and good work. Then when they Daisy chained in a new panel they swapped my port to a faster less restricted port. :sly: I swear, when it suddenly hits you that you really know your stuff then get it confirmed by Pro's ...Life is GOOD. B)
  13. Ok, so... if my sensitive feminine side get me laid, Doess that mean i'm the Male Lesbian I've always wanted to be?
  14. ...Some literally. :ill: heh, sorry couldn't resist.
  15. You can't tell damn near a thing from a book title. I mean thats absurd. And as far as reading a bit to decide Alot of DAMN good books don't get going until after the first 5 or even ten chapters if thres enough development thats to be done. My take is to read through a book until the middle and then drop it or finish it based on that. Any book that hasn't picked up or gotten you interested by then was poorly written. PS Michael Criton books are great "fast-starting" books. His newest one "PREY" got me hooked on page 1. Another Good recent one is Timeline.
  16. 40 minutes for an oil change... Hell I could have learned to rebuild the transmission in that amount of friggin' time. How the hell do you drag out a simple oil change into 40 minutes!
  17. :ill: :ill: :ill: :ill: :ill:
  18. Re-reading books has the same merit as rewatching movies. The only differance is visuals as opposed to imagination. After knowing the plot you catsh some of the subtle hints you may have missed the first time you read through when you "thought" you knew what was happening. Also re-reading helps build on the picture in your mind of the characters and settings in the book, each time you read them you add to what you see in your minds eye. Also after some time your reccollection of the story dims and you'd have to reread it to freshen your memory if its a particular favorite. I need to re-read my SW collection soon, I'm getting rusty.

  20. Now theres finally some innovation in the peripheral dept! have an RPG that occasionally Dives into a Shooter and use a dual gun controller to boot! Add in some alternate endings and even Alternate storylines and the replayability will soar, a game that by itself would justify the expense for the guns!
  21. Worked out seriously for the first time in 8 years. Next morning I'm feeling the burn but not really in a bad way, feels more like I really knew what I was doing and got all the main groups in decent moderation. Damn it feels good. Jacuzzi definitely kicked ass too. B)
  22. In hath seen the light and been saved!
  23. I've come to realize a paradox. IC is chasing two things in TX. Good chocolate dougnuts and a good looking asian girl. Since his life would be complete with them both so therefore one will forever elude him. Will he choose between the two or chase them both in eternal futility? Which will he choose i wonder? :yinyang:
  24. Maybe its just me, but whats the big deal if a band does Commercials? its sickeningly large contract deals for companies like pepsi, I mean in the millions. I'd only say that I wouldn't back it if I don't like it myself. But if its something I like and they throw a truckload of cash my way to endorse it on TV, damn, why not? Granted you need to keep tabs on yourself and not endorse everything under the sky but a couple of huge contracts never hurt anybody. Tickets at $20+ thou do suck. I know the bands have limited control over the prices (the arenas add thier own nasty uprate) Prices should be kept as low as feasable if you can afford to do it and not lose money. Specially if your pulling in a few mill from sales and endorsments you can let your ticket prices slide a touch.
