BigChiefSlapaho Posted November 11, 2004 Author Posted November 11, 2004 That is cool! And now that I have 120GB drive to play with... I can do it too! Sweet.
BigChiefSlapaho Posted November 11, 2004 Author Posted November 11, 2004 Probably one of the coolest little music tools out there. If you're into making beats or just fooling around with a mini-studio, this program is a lot of fun to play with. Fruityloops This can be as easy or as complicated as you want it to be. You can use the collection of sounds available in their library to make a cool beat layout or you can download a plethora of plugins and take advantage of its near-studio-quality effects libraries (compressors, tone adjustors, etc...) to make new sounds for advanced beats. You can even make your keyboard simulate a piano keyboard and play notes on it. Or, if you've got a keyboard with a firewire / usb hookup, you can make it work here too. I've used it on many occasions but I'm nowhere near a master at it.
daytripper Posted November 14, 2004 Posted November 14, 2004 well I cheated, it's not a program it's a website. But I think if you looking for an email addy outside of the one your ISP provided its worth a peek... gmail by google
KaraSwims Posted November 14, 2004 Posted November 14, 2004 What is a good piece of software that will help me condense and copy DVDs...I had one that came with my computer but it doesn't get them small enough to actually burn..it keeps saying there's too much data to copy on 1 disc (and i want it on one disc if possible)....I heard that there used to be something like DVD-X but that they took it off the market. Is NERO any good or is there one that will do the same thing but cheaper? Thanks for your help!
dante Posted November 19, 2004 Posted November 19, 2004 I just saw this thread...Xerox isn't me....I don't have any trolls
BigChiefSlapaho Posted November 19, 2004 Author Posted November 19, 2004 LIE! Um... I think Spiffy is the person to talk to about anything relating to DVD's.
soldier of fortune Posted February 7, 2005 Posted February 7, 2005 Ok.... whats the best cd ripping/copying software for copying copyrighted cds. I've a game i wanna copy, and Nero being twicthy! help
daytripper Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005 Whatever prog you use make sure that you use an exchangable copy or a rental. We once destroyed a brand new xbox game (star wars: Knights of the Old republic) trying to copy it with Nero.
The NZA Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 hey, what do you guys use for image viewing? back inna day, i used VuePrint, but now i use ACDSee, pretty good but minor bugs sometimes....at Violator's site, i noticed Irfanview, never heard of it...anyway, just wanna see what you guys view images with, besides IE or some shit.
dante Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 ACDSee is good, I used to have it, but when XP has it's own picture viewer that is decent, there's no need to have another proggie installed...
The NZA Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 how decent is decent? loads fast, good for cropping images, etc?
defgoddess Posted August 9, 2005 Posted August 9, 2005 no it's just a picture viewer... you can't edit the pic nick. it does load pretty quick, at least for me, dunno what hunkajunk you're using. i used to use vicman's photo editor too, but now thanks to my l337
BigChiefSlapaho Posted August 9, 2005 Author Posted August 9, 2005 Um... DAEMON... it's a tool like Alcohol. Got it off BT. Really sweet program.
KaraSwims Posted August 9, 2005 Posted August 9, 2005 What do you use MH for your wicked avatars and stuff? I have Paint Shop Pro 9...I'm a big fan
dante Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 I just bought *coudownloadedgh* Corel Painter IX. to uhm...uh, test it out...before i really buy it... heh haven't tried yet but sometimes painting in Photoshop isn't enough. Photoshop is key though for editing. I rarely post a picture anywhere before it passes through Photoshop. Daemon tools are a godsend. I don't think I can get rid of the virtual drive it creates though...my computer thinks it has two DVD ROMs.
dante Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 Xerox was a stupid troll and I think it was Chief. Anyways, I think this was mentioned elsewhere. Trillian. Still my number one IMer. It's up to version 3 I think.
daytripper Posted August 13, 2005 Posted August 13, 2005 Trillian isnt so bad, but for the PC savy guru there's Gaim. Try it you might like it. And best part is.... it's open source! http://gaim.sourceforge.net/
dante Posted August 13, 2005 Posted August 13, 2005 yeah, GAIM comes stock on most Linux releases. I've tried it, it's a very toned down version. Trillian does have updates every so often, and you can't get the full effect with the unregistered one. but it's still pretty decent.
dante Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 If you're all about customizations like da Nick, I've got a screenshot for you. This is my desktop: GANT is an icon set made by this 15 year old kid. Apparently each one is hand painted or something, I forget. Anyways, I don't have the link to it, but they are very very sweet icons...plus there is a shitload of them. Some made explicitly for certain programs, but that doesn't mean I have to use the certain ones they give me...I could have a big red X for photoshop (but it's a really sweet X), or a smiley face instead. So yeah, I think the set may be on Deviant Art somewhere. For the theme change I went with StyleXP. There's also a website called ThemeXP where you can download wallpapers, logon screens, desktop themes, etc... Warning: Only use GANT if you have Icon Packager. You can do them one by one if you like, but this will take you a very long time unless you only want one or two. I can send some icons if you have any request. Also, use of StyleXP is also for the very knowledged. You will be editing system files and executables which may not bring your computer back up. Know what you are doing and backup all your shit before tampering... So basically, read the instruction manuals and use at you're own risk.
The NZA Posted September 4, 2005 Posted September 4, 2005 Fair enough, and it looks sharp too. How do you change the icons for the progams on your start menu? I cant even rename them, it fuckin renames the damn file itself. I hate that. That, and my folder backgrounds still look like shit. Damn you, XP.
dante Posted September 4, 2005 Posted September 4, 2005 I had to go to their properties in the start menu and 'change icon' once it was changed, the icon was still the old one, so I removed it and created a new shortcut... that's pretty much how it went
The NZA Posted September 4, 2005 Posted September 4, 2005 Yeah, good idea, but every shortcut i put in there, i rename it, and boom, it wants to rename the filename, even if i create the shortcut myself. ill try again tomorrow, but lemme know if you think of anythin.
