archangel Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 I only have ONE problem with this, and it's kinda big. a fucking mustang! c'mon! Why'd you downgrade KITT?
Iambaytor Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 I agree, why make him a fucking Mustang. It's disgraceful and it looks stupid. Even in the movie where he was a POS blue something or other and then a red ferrari was better than this.
Reverend Jax Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 I already set y DVR to record this. Man, I'm hoping Hasslehoff makes a cameo as a villain.
Iambaytor Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Well there's potential of this being a pilot, so my hopes are that if it does get made into a show Hasselhoff and the dude who played Mr. Feeny will return with Michael Knight and the real KITT for at least one episode.
Reverend Jax Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Wasn't the Battlestar Galactica movie a "test pilot" to gage public response, and only after the positive response was the series picked up? Maybe it's like that.
Iambaytor Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 It is like that, they're just trying to see if anybody wants to see it.
Signal08 Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 I don't see why its a big deal that its a mustang. I would have liked it to be the new camaro, but that isnt the cup of tea they picked. The new stang, is prolly equivilant to a cobra or roush so its a bad ass car in itself. As far as the 2 hour tv movie, it will do pretty well and I do see a series coming out of this, prolly to last up to 3 seasons, then they make it stupid like any other near sci fi gig.
Logan_Snikt!! Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 will they be using the same voice for KIT??? why can't we just let go of the 80's!!!!! why must that time perriod be so tempting!!!!!! whatever happened to Viper??? i use to watch it all the time.
Signal08 Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 naw... some lame ass guy sounding like a drunk guy trying to be kitt, sounded retarded on the previews.
Iambaytor Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 naw... some lame ass guy sounding like a drunk guy trying to be kitt, sounded retarded on the previews. There were two version recorded, the first was Will Arnett (AKA Gob on Arrested Development) and that may be him on the preview if it's old enough, but seeing as he's the voice of GMC trucks and the Ford motor company is using this movie as a big promotion for their vehicles he had to step down and Val Kilmer stepped in for him. I can't tell which one it is in the trailer but it sounds more like Arnett than Kilmer.
Darth Fluffakins Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 That sucks, I thought Will Arnett was going to be knight rider, not the voice of kitt. It still looks pretty cool, but not as cool as in my head previously.
Reverend Jax Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 Best 2 hour Ford Commercial ever. They actually had a transition to commercial with the narrator saying "and now, a message from the star of the show, the new Ford Mustang!"
archangel Posted February 18, 2008 Author Posted February 18, 2008 yea it was pretty shameless. but you know what? i was satisfied.
Reverend Jax Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 Well, yeah, thanks to the Hoff jumping in at the end. "Will I see you again?" :pause: "Yeah...I think so..."
archangel Posted February 18, 2008 Author Posted February 18, 2008 aww man...I can just see the episode everyone is dreaming of: KITT 1 and KITT 2 riding side by side...err....KITT 2 trying to keep up to KITT 1.....in a bad ass joint operation. Sigh
Aartemys Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 I loved every last second of it...not to mention the fact that the Ford Mustang is my favorite car of all time... Geesh, I think even Benny was jealous because I was paying more attention to the TV than to him... The cast isn't so bad... I could almost guess that The Hoff was going to be this kid's dad... I loved every time the 'stang would morph into another color...one can dream of owning one like that. And that scene when the SUV slammed right into it...woah! I don't think that Graiman could've survived a crash like that, but it is TV and it sells the storyline. I think it is going to be picked up...and Ben & I have already decided that we're going to watch it if it does...
archangel Posted February 18, 2008 Author Posted February 18, 2008 you mean YOU'VE decided to watch it, and Benny decided it would be a good idea NOT to press the issue. :-p
archangel Posted February 18, 2008 Author Posted February 18, 2008 so was this event it? Was this the movie or is there going to be an actual movie after this and THEN a possible Show?
Benz Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 I think this was a pilot for a new show. I liked it, it continued the storyline of the original nicely, everything made sense. No it was not the original and it never will be, but I still loved it. I think they did about as good as they could do with it. The Mustang, though no Trans-Am, was pretty good, alot better than I thought it would have been.
archangel Posted February 18, 2008 Author Posted February 18, 2008 the only part I didn't get was how the hell did they end up in the Casino? How'd they find her?
Benz Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 They followed her.. somehow.. yeah... he changed color/licence plate/other identifying marks to lose them, so... good question. I'd have to see it again.
archangel Posted February 18, 2008 Author Posted February 18, 2008 That was the only inconsistency I saw...they lost him on the way to the Casino, yet they knew to be there....how?
