  1. From what I understand, the Fantastic Four universe is still verboten. The bans technically were never officially announced but Marvel exes came forward at some point and flat out said that the four and xmen universes were being shat on because of their deals with Fox. With that bit of news out to the public, Marvel started striking deals with fox, which is why things like Legion are listed as Co-branded by Marvel and Fox and with that comes the lifting of the banhammer on characters in those universes. I don't know if you followed the news at all in the last couple years, but there was a rumor around Inhumans vs Xmen that if Marvel and Fox didn't play ball, the end of that series would have been the death of most of the mutants for the sake of making smaller print deals - effectively making less X-stories that games/movies/etc could pull from for source material. Shit like this: http://comicbook.com/marvel/2017/05/14/marvel-restricts-fantastic-four-x-men-characters-upper-deck-sketch-cards/ came from it.
  2. spotify:user:bindusara:playlist:7h5uRQFoNLtqa3jiOUSGEu that's my video game music playlist - im looking for suggestions on things to add!
  3. ooooook, lets get into this... So here's the thing, until recently there was a strict no xmen policy when it came to marvel games. For example, I play 3 marvel mobile games - Contest of Champions, Future Fight and Puzzle Quest. Now 2 of those titles (CoC and PQ) came out before the mutant ban, so they have full access to the whole MU. Recently, the ban has been lifted and as of this last week, FF is going to be getting mutants in the upcoming patch. Now what does this mean for MvC? Well..it means that the game was in development during the time the mutant ban was active, so all roster picks were based on that. With the ban lifted, i will bet you dollar to doughnuts that the first set of DLC characters will be X-based.
  4. The hype is real for this. I was chatting about this on the show this week and I honestly believe that this is a direction superhero movies should go towards. Not horror necessarily - but branching out to other genres, to keep from going stale too quickly. Logan worked, not because it was a "superhero" movie, but more of a future-western. It didn't rely on the tights and capes formula to make it awesome.
  5. I gotta go with baytor on this one. I loved the Animaniacs as a kid, but I also loved Spawn - both of which really feel like products of the 90s. I mean Animaniacs had some great, amazing moments but I just don't know if it really can exist outside of the time it did. Do I want it to? Of course I do, but i'm not hopeful.
  6. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?p=238619370#post238619370 Not confirmed, but seems about right. Sad at X-men/Wesker removal, but really feelin' that Spencer, Thanos, Monster Hunter, Jedah game.
  7. My tats are kinda like merit badges. I got this one after we won a cosplay competition as Alucard and Maria years ago.
  8. Enough of our super serious talk about comics: Let's make comics FUN again! Let's talk about the Summers brothers, aka: The most dysfunctional X-family. A lot of people have some very strong beliefs about the Summers-3, mostly with a bias towards either Cyclops or Havok. Personally, I'm a huge Havok fan. Few people have really tackled Alex, which kinda makes sense because Alex for a long time didn't want to be a X-man - in fact he was working towards his doctorate. When done well - in titles like Meltdown, there's a lot of depth to be explored there and I feel that he's a very under utilized character. Hell, I loved him taking over the Starjammers, and I wish that would have kept going. So: Who's your favorite Summers brother and why: Defend your position.
  9. Yeah, I talked with my local comic retailer about it recently, actually. I was worried there'd be alot to take in for something like Saga if I hadn't read it before and he broke down how their publishing timeline works. I dig it, because it benefits both readers and creators. (hey you actually can get a little breathing room)
  10. I'm fairly sure that a.) they were outcasts, which is why the church tried everything they could to take down dracula before going to the belmonts. b.) they had full rights to the vampire killer during this era.
  11. Eh, maybe I should have specified that "prior to this season" SHIELD was having issues. That's why they moved the timeslot and changed around their writing team etc - to try and make it biiger and better than it was before. This season was awesome.
  12. I also like the way that certain comics, like Saga, are treated. 11 issues - a month off to release trade and let people get caught up - and then back to working on the series. Gives everyone a great change to catch up and get a good jumping on point.
  13. I love LOVE prey which is why i was so against this rebranding
  14. (first thing that popped into my head when i read "Symphony of the Night season 2". I wrote a full sequel to SotN in high school. script, tons of graph paper sketching out the ideas for the castle. ...yep. And there's a LONG ways to go before we're SOTN ready. You need to cover Dracula X, which means covering everything Simon did...
  15. ...you know what, with enough booze and a few friends to play with, it's tolerable.
  16. I need this to be good. I don't want another CV thing that makes me want to burn my tattoo off.
  17. It's a pretty well known fact that AoS has been on the rocks for a while. They've had enough ratings to justify keeping going but no one was loving it. More just watching out of obligation to the mcu, and the less tieins that happened, the less people cared about it. They needed something fresh and new, and they needed to compete against their biggest foe - the CW. While Inhumans would have made for a better movie, it makes sense to try and go the television route with it.
  18. The 2000's, - where great movies got sequels that no one asked for.
  19. There was a return to Labyrinth manga. It was ok but you're right - going back to the dark crystal is way more exciting. I'm actually "reading" a book about Hensons life right now and everyone says the same thing - he was sweet, funny, quiet and had a darkness to him.
  20. Finished Season 2 - that should quiet SOME PEOPLE around here...
  21. Well, they are killing it with announcements. The Witcher is going to be their GoT - it has to be, and the dark crystal is interesting because JH studios has been working quietly for a while to expand the universe of TDC and make it even grander than we would ever imagine. I'm super excited for this.
  22. Yeah it seems like a step back to not have it as part of the arrowverse. CW has something strong going there and it just kinda sucks he won't be a part of it. Until crisis on infinite earths brings all the cw shows together
  23. HOW BOUT DEM FEEL DOE. I honestly went into this season, with its new "extreme" timeslot going...yeah this season might be the final nail in the coffin of shield. Even as the LMD geared up I was like - eeeh this story seems kind of bad. ...and then it wasn't. Holy shit did they kick it up this season. They are keeping the same writing staff on for next season so I'm really hopeful for shields future...something I never thought i'd say.
  24. I think they just want their own thing. It's not the best choice but I can see why they are doing it
