  1. Gotta admit, she's right. Just like the old days. Now that that worry is dispelled, I just want to see some footage so I know Spielberg isn't bringing his new love of hand held shaky cams and desaturated blown-out cinematography.
  2. Cloverfield(?) - A better version of JJ Abrams' mysterious new project. Paramount insists that "Cloverfield" is just a working title - the real title still hasn't been revealed.
  3. Yeah, that's a scary trailer. I'm tempted to go see Transformers just to watch that on the big screen. Can't wait to see more of it...and, you know, find out just what the hell it is. The Simpsons - The greatest family adventure of all time. Shoot 'Em Up - Another crazy r-rated action movie in which everyone gets to do what they do best. Clive Owen gets to be a badass. Monica Bellucci gets to be the world's most insanely hot MILF. And...Paul Giamatti gets to be an evil hitman? Ok, that one's new. But fun! Gone Baby Gone - Ben Affleck's directorial debut. It's ok, he's not acting in it, ya haters. American Gangster - From Ridley Scott. Denzel Washington chases another Oscar for playing another bad guy, while Russell Crowe chases him. Kinda. Well, ok, so it's a bit more complicated than that. The Brave One - An interesting looking character study of vigilantism with Jodie Foster (as the vigilante!) and Terrence Howard. Lions for Lambs - An absolutely terribly trailer for Robert Redford's upcoming drama about the war on terror. The Invasion - Nicole Kidman and Danny Craig (sorry...Daniel Craig, now) star in this new version of Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
  4. Why not? It's a shitty trailer and I'm still not sold on Olyphant, but at least he's an interesting choice as opposed to Vin Diesel or somethin'.
  5. It certainly does, I can't wait to see more from it. Sunshine - A very long and intense trailer for Danny Boyle's scifi film. It also contains what feels like some minor spoilers and the most overused trailer music in recent history. I also miss the cool tagline from the first trailer - "So if you wake up one morning and it's a particularly beautiful day - you'll know we made it" but otherwise it looks really interesting. The Bourne Ultimatum - Jason Bourne might be the only character possibly capable of kicking Jack Bauer's ass. I want to put them and James Bond in a room together for the ultimate JB battle for supremacy. Bourne supremacy? Who knows. Anyway, great trailer to what looks like a great movie for fans of the first two (despite shaky cam hell). For the record, I think the tagline "Bourne comes home" is pretty weak compared to the European version - "Remember everything. Forgive nothing." But hey, I'm a tagline whore.
  6. Like most HBO dramas, it's slow and methodical and takes a few episodes before it really starts to hit its stride. But also like most HBO dramas, it's well worth the time invested.
  7. Sadly, I'm still not caught up with The Sopranos. I'm all the way back on season 3. I've seen some other episodes here and there, but my knowledge of the narrative is still stuck on season 3. HBO still has their dvds at such damned high prices and I don't like watching tv shows on my computer screen, so I've been forced to take my time with it. I have seen the last scene, though - it's hard not to have, it's been talked about so much the last few weeks.
  8. By far. Though I'm pretty interested to see what Heath Ledger does with it. I also agree that Clooney coulda been a great Batman if he had been in a great Batman movie.
  9. So was I, but I liked that one because Batman could actually move in it. He couldn't move in the Begins suit. At least he's capable of turning his head now.
  10. What? Her? There you go. Now look at Indy IV, man! Indy IV!
  11. No comments on the batpod? Well how about this, then? Ever since Bryan Hitch and Mark Millar redesigned Nick Fury for Marvel's Ultimate universe, the list of actors who should play him got narrowed down to one name. But now, after all these years, it's finally official. SAMUEL L. JACKSON IS NICK FURY! That's right. AintItCool News is reporting that Jackson has signed on to cameo as Fury in Jon Favreau's Iron Man movie. And if Iron Man is successful, Marvel wants to contract him to play the role in his own film.
  12. The first official pic of Harrison Ford on the set of Indy 4. I have to admit, I had my doubts at the beginning, but seeing him wearing that hat again has washed all those doubts away.
  13. Since, Batman gets a new high-tech vehicle in his sequel. Presenting: The Batpod! Not to mention, Bats' new suit: While certainly not perfect, at least it's not as awkward looking as the previous version. And now, a Watchmen casting update: rumor is that wooden-man Keanu Reeves has been beaten out for the role of Dr. Manhattan by other wooden-man Jason Patric. You want more casting rumors? How about Jackie Earle Haley as Rorschach? And reports also indicate that the role of the Comedian is going to none other than Thomas "This is Punishment" Jane, who apparently beat out strong competition by Ron Perlman (that woulda been awesome) and Nathan Fillion (wait...huh?).
  14. Wall-E - I'm assuming this is going out with Ratatouille. It doesn't have much footage from the actual film, but it's a nice well-designed trailer. It has a much different feel from Pixar's usual gag teasers. Mr. Bean's Holiday - Hey...why not. You Kill Me - Killing people is the least of Ben Kingsley's vices. Rise: Blood Hunter - It looks like it should be a cheap direct-to-dvd vampire film, but Michael Chiklis is still a badass and, uh...Lucy Liu and Carla Gugino kiss.
  15. The Omega Man was based on the same novel - I Am Legend. So yes.
  16. I Am Legend - Because I love end-of-the-world movies.
  17. Catch them all here. Just remember me when FHD comes up. PS: Hellboy animated is awesome.
  18. Actually, joined together is their true form. They're meant to be viewed as a double feature, but since, maybe, 12 people went and saw it that way, now they're threatening to split them up and show them separately...like they did internationally.
  19. Your therapist just needs to get laid.
  20. Yeah I know, but that one's the best of the bunch if you ask me. Hey, I saw the Ghost Rider movie. The world could use more lack of Ghost Rider.
  21. Now here's the best comic book movie ever.
  22. From USA Today: And a couple small shots from that Joker intro shoot. Including a very small and very blurry glimpse of the man himself.
  23. Having said that, I never saw this cover: So maybe I'm just behind a few months.
