Zidler starts speaking the first two lines, then softly sings the second two, and by the fifth line the entire cast chorus has joined in. Other lyrics to the song are as follows: (sigh) Love that song. *Ahem* anyway... MH, I've no idea what yours are, so I won't hold up the line, but I wanted to clarify what song that was - I'm surprised with the number of people so knowledgeable in the field of music and movies that NOBODY got that one!

We'll probably wind up going for at least a day, depends on who all will be there. We went last year hoping to get Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes but they pulled out at the last minute because Jersey Girl was opening. No matter. We had a good time. We'll see how the guest list shapes up this year and figure it out.

Yeah, Fatone plays the role of Mark Cohen, bohemian filmmaker extraordinaire trying to make a living in the east village, who also narrates the show. While he's no Anthony Rapp (who played the original role) I hear that Fatone is doing a pretty good job in his part. I have yet to see Stomp. I hear that it's pretty impressive for a while, but after the first hour or so, it just gets old. Kinda like any of the Cirque du Soleil shows - visually impressive for a bit, but, eh.

Finally someone who knows what RENT is! Yay! I've seen it twice live, and have the original broadway soundtrack... the last showing I went to last month, my sister and I sang along to the entire show. Pretty sad, but fun all the same It's such a great show - It's got some sad undertones (it deals with betrayal and dying and death in some parts), and it covers what some would say are 'taboo' topics - HIV/AIDS, homosexuality, and the like, but more than half of the dialogue and songs have enough shock factor and hilarity to keep it balanced out. Really just a wonderful production. I just wish Jon Larson could still be around to see it's success. If it comes to your town, go see it. It's really worth it.

Uh.. Not really. Music is good. Movies are good. Musicals combine the two, which, when combined properly with a talented cast, a talented orchestra/band, and a talented choreographer, makes them even better. It's like combining milk and Godiva chocolate. Not popcorn. Maybe you should check out a few musicals (that don't include "Rogers and Hammerstein" in the title) that don't suck - Rent, The Producers, Les Miserables, Into the Woods, South Pacific, Sunday in the Park with George, Jeckyll & Hyde, These are all really fantastic musicals with memorable songs, great choreography, a fascinating story, just all around great stage productions. Just because you had a bad experience with The Sound of Music doesn't mean all musicals have to suck.

mmph. I'm gonna come leaping out of my lurking status to comment on this. If I ABSOLUTELY had to choose from the list, I'd choose West Side Story. But, I'm gonna add my two cents in here and give an honorable mention to my personal favorite and unlisted selection, RENT. If none of you have seen it, you're sorely missing out. I would write up a little synopsis about it myself, but it would probably wind up being just as long as The ACTUAL story, so check that out if you'd like to know more. Just know that it's a great story, filled with comedy, tragedy, great and memorable music, and if you ask anyone who's ever seen it, it'll always come HIGHLY recommended. Back to lurking for me, I s'ppose.

Ohhh, I see's it now. Ok, JMT. You're still anal and nit-picky, but I'll forgive you this trespass, because you're right... sort of. Yes, that actually WAS s'pposed to be "Oh", but the top of the "H" got lobbed off. See, here's the way it works: DJ (silent bob) draws, traces, and colors the individual panels. Then I come in and compile the panels in Photoshop, into one big ol' image. Then, since I'm too effin' lazy to sit there and individually draw all the text boxes and speech bubbles in Photoshop, I copy and paste the comic into MS Word 2k. I form the auto-shaped speech bubbles, fill out the text, and then copy and paste the text back into PS. Once in a blue moon, ::Looks out window::, the computer will have a glitch and in transferring text from one program to the other, it gets skewed. Sometimes the top of an "H" or the bottom of a "P" or a "Y" will just disappear. ::kicks word::. So yeah. Until Photoshop does auto-shaped speech bubbles, I guess I'm stuck with that formula. ??? But, hey. It's never going to be without the occasional flaw, no matter how perfect the creation process is. So, I guess as long as Drawing The Line is on the web, you're gonna have something to bitch about ;)

Uh. Where's this typo? Everything looks just fine to me, and I lettered it. Only typo I see isn't really necessarily a typo, just what might be an unnecessary comma in DJ's text on panel 11. Panel 9 is just fine. Honestly, JMT. Could you BE any more anal? Nevermind, don't answer that. :plain:

's a helluva lineup. I admit to not ever hearing of half those bands, but if I were going, along with most of the highlighted bands up there, I'd also love to see Dashboard Confessional, New Found Glory, Incubus, & Puddle of Mudd. But that's just me
