Visitant
Mia had to be brought back to life after having the demon removed via ceremony, she was a bigger loophole than Ash. But did you hate the movie? So many fanboys shit on it, and it's still one of my favorite horror movies, if not one of my favorite movies of all time. Da Cap'n 2099
There is very much science going on in that... but then it gets supernatural :/

Though the logic surrounding Mia's entire story is a thread best not pulled. Ok, I concede. *sips juicebox triumphantly*

Visitant
where does serpent & the rainbow lie again I only recently saw this, to fill in the gaps in my horror catalogue. I too am curious where this sits.

Iambaytor
Haven't seen it. Does it actually involve resurrection or is it just blowfish powder?
Da Cap'n 2099
Wait? What?! Didn't you review it when Wes Craven died on your movie review website thingie or was that someone else's review?
Iambaytor
Nope that was somebody else. I did The Hills Have Eyes, Deadly Blessing, Vampire in Brooklyn, a couple shitty made-for-TV movies, and his bonkers-ass porno film.
Da Cap'n 2099
I'm really surprised at this. Still, I think it'll be one you'll love.
Iambaytor
I think you're right. It's on my list but that list is thousands of movies long. For a blanket statement, I'm not sure where I lie on "voodoo zombies", the "real" ones aren't even really undead they're just people with brain damage but I suppose if you consider Martin a vampire then they'd be zombies. If they're legit raised from the dead Pigeons From Hell/Black Canaan style, then yeah they're zombies.
Visitant
I mean I'm sure the wiki is just giving us the answer but: The script by Richard Maxwell and Adam Rodman is loosely based on the non-fiction book of the same name by ethnobotanist Wade Davis, wherein Davis recounted his experiences in Haiti investigating the story of Clairvius Narcisse, who was allegedly poisoned, buried alive, and revived with a herbal brew which produced what was called a zombie. Iambaytor
Damn it's about time, I was getting nervous that the first one didn't sell well enough and it wouldn't get a physical release.
The NZA
wait...so how was season 2?
Iambaytor
It flagged a bit at the beginning but it came back together at the end. There were bits that feltbjust a bit too mean/juvenile early on but it had a satisfying conclusion. I've no idea where they'll take season 3 but I'm interested. Da Cap'n 2099
Overall, the second season has been the best of the two, so far. It felt like the cast was just finding their groove and having more fun, which you feel too. The "car" episode was a highlight and really shows the heights the program can go. The first season was fun, but, if they finished it right there, I'da been fine. The second season left me wanting more.
