Lycaon Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 Oh, but crossover-fanfics can be so amusing. There's one that when mentioned usually gets some groans whenever mentioned: a slash-pairing. Care to guess? I'll give you a hint: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « "Dobby has never been anyone's precious before..."
Reverend Jax Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 *cough cough* spoiler *cough cough* and would this not belong moreso in culture? Its all over the news ...» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « dickhead MM, DoJ was making two points. 1) If you're going to make a (potential) spoiler, putting a spoiler tag is courteous. There are many HP fans ont his site, and everyone of them might not want to read that » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Two major characters will die, and one might be Harry 2) You created this thread in the Movie forum and called it 'Harry Potter 5', yet all the news is related to the Harry Potter books, and there is no news or reference to the movies. Books are discussed in the Culture forum. He made two perfectly good points. I would ahve made the second if no one else have when I saw this thread.
Silent Bob Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 Oo, most pointless thread ever. Is the title Harry Potter 5 a typo or because no one knows how to count to 7?
Reverend Jax Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 Now, it's 'Harry Potter 5' in the movie forum. It's just not about the fifth Harry Potter movie at all.
Lycaon Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 Fine, you want movie news? Here's your movie news: Helena Bonham Carter Joins Potter Cast. Nice casting decision, actually.
IguanaDon? Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 I'd bang Bonham Carter. Especially as Marla Singer. She's British you know.
archangel Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 Shit, Ly's back! Welcome back man. Also: Is the trailer out for this yet, or any mention of a release date?
Silent Bob Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 I'm pretty sure it's being filmed now and right now the release date is set for July 13th next year so, no, no trailer yet unfortunately.
Lycaon Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 Shit, Ly's back! Welcome back man. Also: Is the trailer out for this yet, or any mention of a release date? Yes. I have decided to once again bless this forum with my presence. I could hardly stay away, moved as I was by the words of those that wished my return. All I've hear for release date was 2007. But, here is a list of the cast thus far: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0373889/
MetalHeart Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 I love Helena BC aren't her and Tim Burton engaged/married? Sexxxy.
Lycaon Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 I love Helena BCaren't her and Tim Burton engaged/married? Sexxxy. Indeed. I'm not sure about her marital status, though. I think I heard she'd gotten married...
Silent Bob Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 They've been engaged since 2001. Pretty sure they're not married yet.
MetalHeart Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 After I commented I checked IMDB. They are indeed engaged! That's so exciting. Man, it would be fun to hang out with her, Tim, and Danny Elfman sometime.... I love those three
Reverend Jax Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 When I saw than Carter was casted, I was worried that it was for the roll of Professor Umbridge. That would have been terrible. This is very good news.
Lycaon Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 When I saw than Carter was casted, I was worried that it was for the roll of Professor Umbridge. That would have been terrible. This is very good news. Nope, Imelda Staunton will play Umbridge. You're certainly right about whether Helna Bonham Carter would have been a poor casting choice for Umbridge, though.
endworld Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 Oo, neat! I hate Imelda already. They really are doing a great job of casting... Most every single one of the characters they've done for the movies have been pretty much dead on with what I held in my head, although I did picture Sirius as being much less hairy, and much more...suave......
Silent Bob Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 He probably will be now that he's less grungified.
Lycaon Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 Oo, neat! I hate Imelda already. They really are doing a great job of casting... Most every single one of the characters they've done for the movies have been pretty much dead on with what I held in my head, although I did picture Sirius as being much less hairy, and much more...suave...... Oh? If you don't minf me asking, why do you hate her already? I know what you mean about the cast, otherwise. But, I did imagine Lupin a bit differently.
Silent Bob Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 I think he means that she's perfect for the character and since we all hate the character so much... I agree about Lupin, I saw him much differently too but David Thewlis is great so I'm not complaining. I did see Barty Crouch differently too. I always pictured him as Ian Holm.
Reverend Jax Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 I always pictured Voldemort as John Malkovich, but evently he's not British enough, just cause he's from New York, not Britian. Anyway, casting man-pretty Ralph Fiennes as Voldemort was great.
Lycaon Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 Fine Harry Popper 7 then. You still on about posting about the seventh book on the fifth movie thread?
MusicManiac Posted August 6, 2006 Author Posted August 6, 2006 Not really. I just get a chuckle about how far off topic this fucking thread has become.
Lycaon Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 Well, the first post of the thread is a bit at odds with the title and section of forum.
