  1. Is that you? LOL! Totally gonna get me a Kirby one day. All this toy talk is getting me hyped for a Star Wars playset! I play - and I wait for price drops - but right about now, I'm dying to have legions of stormtroopers and battle droids at my creative disposal. Want those vehicles and world themes in my toybox. I want to beat the crap out of Sakaarans w/ Boba Fett. Have Yoda fight some alien symbiotes in Wonderland. Want to walk into a wretched cantina filled w/ Davy Jones' crew and shoot first w/ Starlord! Got me the hypes for some Star Wars assets! The actual game really only is as good as your imagination...aaaand how much free time you have. LOL! "Okay guys, I'm putting you back on the grid."
  2. Deadpool trailer is up on youtube!!! Dunno how to post youtube vids, so I'm gonna post a link to it. Here goes nothing. I think I suck at posting links. Sorry in advance if I done did it wrong.
  3. I was working at a movie theater when this movie first came out. The ol' Regal Cinemas at Cocowalk, above Borders (now all extinct). I saw it so many times on the big screen during it's initial run - in a practically empty theater. It wasn't a big draw at the time. Me and some of my other coworkers, knew it was special. We would duck into it during our break or catch it after work. I have so much love for this movie. This is one of those movies that's a part of my DNA, crazy to watch the movie unfold into this phenom status throughout the years. Even crazier to see swarms of Lebowski lovers or documentaries. Reminded of how damn old I am. Glad to see the movie reach it's iconic status. Definitely deserving.
  4. OMG! You're SICK! SICK! You are afflicted with a sickness, sir! LOL! Groot does look fantastic, though - even better outta the box. So does Starlord - they all look great outta the box. You keeping your puppies inbox? Telling ya, sometimes there are sales where they are practically dumping 'em. Boba Fett and Yoda figures are gonna sell like crazy.
  5. Never heard of it. Just caught a brief synopsis on wikipedia - whoa! How'd I miss that one?! Oh, yeah... LOL
  6. Congrats on your hussle! 'Buy 1, get 1 free' sale going on at my Gamestop until Monday. Don't know if it's everywhere, but thought I'd put that out there. Considering Disney figures? I think Donald Duck is a great lil' sculpt. He came out lookin' like a bad-ass. Someone gave it a repaint! Another great Disney sculpt was Randy Boggs. One can dream...
  7. YES!!! To both of those 'wants'!
  8. I love how the IDW comic mixes all that is TMNT into one new animal. It honors and respects the past while delivering it in a way you've never seen before, and it all feels like it fits the franchise and brand. I love Krang's origin! My only complaint: I wouldn't be surprised if they go with that angle in this Turtle sequel, but because of it's game-changing nature it could be considered too controversial for some. The first one seemed to be targeted at clueless children. After seeing Rocksteady, Beebop and Casey - this one could be targeting older TMNT fans.
  9. Oh, that sounds COOL! Yeah - it was a beast. I also marathoned all the tie-ins and crossover issues of the Onslaught event awhile back. I could never finish the Secret Wars - can't tell you how many times I've started the first one and just drifted off. I'm gonna make it a point to finish 'em next week. The Infinity Sagas (Gauntlet, War, ect.), I couldn't put down. I loved how Thanos managed to find and get ahold of all the Infinity Stones and all that followed. Can't wait to see how they pull off Civil War and the Infinity War on the big screen.
  10. I hear ya. What I meant by the logic is gone, is that the rat's whole world was his master and ninjitsu. It would make logical sense his mutated form had a natural affinity for ninjitsu. As opposed to a mutated rat mastering the first random book he found in the sewer - which turned out to be ninjitsu. How random is that? That's his whole character. Thank god it wasn't a Penthouse! OY! "Mutant rat and turtles strike again!"
  11. OH?! You wanna go there? Let's go there! LOL! By that logic, you can argue that if you can accept mutated humanoid animals, you should be able to accept anything. A bad idea is a bad idea. The logic that "fans are sick of the same ol' story" and "sick of the same ol' costume." is so wrong in my opinion. When the visual medium of 'comics' are translated to the screen, personally, I want the visual I love and the character that I love. I don't want Superman with green hair and a purple cape and I don't want Spidey without an Uncle Ben. Nerd mode: DEACTIVATED! LOL!
  12. Rocksteady and Beebop. Wow. I'm down w/ that. So happy to see live-action version of these guys. Been dreaming of what could've been since Secret of the Ooze. Crazy to see this. Looks like they updated Rocksteady's human form w/ a beard. Hope he loses it when he mutates, but I'm totally digging these versions.
  13. Aykroyd confirmed he's gonna be in the reboot. http://www.slashfilm...tbusters-cameo/ Also, here are the names of the new Ghostbusters: Abby, Patty, Erin and Jillian. Abby Yates - McCarthy Patty Tolan - Jones Erin Gilbert - Wiig Jillian Holtzmann - McKinnon *UPDATE - http://www.idigitaltimes.com/ghostbusters-3-channing-tatum-man-edition-canceled-shared-universe-dies-messy-death-453740 That all-male Ghostbusters film looks like it's not gonna happen. Honestly sounds like they are scrambling to satisfy older fans and appeal to clueless children - and it's falling apart. Just satisfy the fans asking for more - make it the best it can be. Everything has to make Transformers / Avengers money nowadays - ironically, at the expense of the quality of the franchise and the faith of fans keeping these decades old franchises alive. Starting with Oscar as a Ghostbuster could've knocked out a lot of birds with one stone. Nope. Fans are sick of the same ol' story...kids today aren't familiar with the backstory...Heart-breaking.
  14. http://www.cinemablend.com/new/He-Man-Battle-Cat-Look-Like-Masters-Universe-70133.html Looks like a film reboot is happening! It's is gonna be an origin story taking place entirely on Eternia. Dolph Lundgren said he'll be a part of it, playing the King. Columbia Pictures put out a picture of Battle Cat. Hell. Yes.
  15. It's a damn good show. Totally gonna get it on bluray when it drops in price. I think those Avengers: Mightiest Heroes shows (yeah, both) were also enjoyable. I think at moments, they pulled obscure characters, too - but not at all like what JLA did. You didn't watch these cartoons back in the day? Are you revisiting them? I marathoned all of JLA last year. It's another world! So enjoyable and rich. I have Season 1 of Superman and Batman Beyond, and the first 3 Seasons of Batman the Animated Series. I'm more of a Marvel fan than DC, but the DC animated universe of back in the day was pure gold. I was never interested in Young Justice, personally. I've heard good things, though.
  16. I would be all over a Scud port. I loved those graphics back in the day. EWJ's origin was told in comic form in the instruction manual. Cool art, but yeah. He probably wouldn't fit in that mash-up I proposed. He did end up eventually getting his own comic series, but it was based on the cartoon show. Sam and Max! I got their cd-rom game (talkie version!), comic run and the complete cartoon series on DVD! Love those guys! Not a comic, but anyone got love for Oddworld? I'm mildly obsessed with that series. Got a nice thick, limited edition, leather-bound 'The Art of Oddworld Inhabitants: The first 10 years' book. Those first 2 games were so awesome.
  17. Just finished Scud. That took me back. A great mash-up idea: Scud, Invader Zim, the Tick, the Mask and Earthworm Jim. I luv EWJ. Fun fact: I had the world's fastest completion time and highest score on the Xbox Live port leaderboard. That is, until a few modders beat it in like, .001 seconds and maxed out their score. I took pictures of my legit 'King of Kong' moment. Held the honor for a few weeks.
  18. I watched it back in the day. I liked it. I'd check out what an updated Xena has to offer. The corniness of the show was kinda charming. I think that was the appeal for me. I have a feeling the reboot might try to go for that "gritty, tough-as-nails" approach. Ted Raimi's participation might be a good indicator.
  19. LOL - Phenomenon. That's a horrible first movie story. I actually feel bummed for you! I bet your buddy never heard the end of it from you guys.
  20. Gargoyles! Goliath would be a cool figure, too. Disney Afternoon line - I hope, I hope, I hope... I gotta strong feeling Darkwing is gonna be a figure in 3.0
  21. Whoa! I think it is a hearse. If memory serves, Aykroyd's original concept for the vehicle was a funeral hearse. I gotta see the whole vehicle. I'd love to see the classic ambulance in a bad-ass action scene and save the day. Y'know, let it shine in front of a camera, ducking around corners, whizzing through traffic, Ghostbusters hanging out the windows - chasing ghosts. The Ecto-1 never really got a chance to shine. Sucks they removed the Ecto-1 level in Ghostbusters the Video Game. Oh, Ghostbusters. What a kick-ass concept.
