  1. I think Kristen Schaal is really funny in everything she does (she also plays the voice of Louise in Bob's Burgers, and has had roles on 30 Rock and Flight of the Conchords, and has been a contributor on The Daily Show). I watched the first episode and thought it was pretty good. I didn't pick it back up after the first episode though. I should, but I've recently gotten into Battlestar Galactica and I can't get into anything else until I wrap that up.
  2. I got placed at the end of a long pier in Belize and couldn't move once. It happens. I'm just lucky I guess that it was the Caribbean. If I had guess the Pacific islands, it would have tanked my score.
  3. You guys know what's going to happen in this show just by looking at some markings in a book? You're like wizards!
  4. Bendis is retelling the Peter Quill origin story and the assembling of the group right? Also, you're not counting the issue #0.1.
  5. Congrats on nailing the Korean one. I'm presuming street signs in South Korea are in Korean characters, not Romanized letters, so that's impressive.
  6. I've never see a movie that did not or could not benefit from Benecio Del Toro being in it. This is indisputably good news.
  7. Just finished watching it. I knew from all the Hondo's/Facebook/Twitter madness that something major was going to happen
  8. The website for Monsters University is made to look like a real university website. I really recommend exploring it. You can even buy a four armed hoodie in the store. .
  9. This trailer makes this movie look like a lot of fun. Also, it doesn't feel like any other Pixar movie from before. It feels like a college party movie to me.
  10. This is from last year, but I just saw it today, so
  11. No, in the game you submit your answer by hitting the button labeled "Make guess," so when I said "guess" I meant to submit an answer. It was a very "educated guess." The start location was on a bridge and I found the bridge on the map.
  12. 18,770 points. I got 0.022km off on one guess, about 2km on another. I was in the right country for two others (France and the Czech Republic), but got hurt in the final round when I was trying to pick between South Africa and Australia, and I picked South Africa and it was Australia. That one was almost 10,000 miles off.
  13. Jumbie, I have gotten British Isles and Namibia and California, so they are definitely possible.
  14. I had a really impressive round my first go, but my browser crashed in the 5th location. Since then, I'd had a few embarrassing rounds, including placing a pin in Australia when it was South Africa, and in Greece when it was in Russia (my first hunch was Ukraine, which would have been closer). I was upset when I had a hunch about Namibia, and I decided to go to Kenya instead, and my initial hunch was right. I am not using Google for searching phone numbers or location names, but I am roaming. I think the non-roaming rule is dumb. Sorry about your slow connection, Jumbie, but I'm not letting it weight me down. Protip: Use the compass in the top left corner to see if the sun is in the southern or northern half of the sky. If it's clearly in the southern half, you're in the northern hemisphere, and if it's clearly in the northern half, you're in the southern hemisphere. If it's more or less in between the two halves of the sky, you're in the tropics (north of Sao Paulo, south of Havana).
  15. So, much to the dissatisfaction of its fans, The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes TV series was canceled after 2 seasons. Why would a TV series that was liked by viewers and critics, with the same characters as the 3rd highest grossing film of all time be canceled? because Jeph Loeb wanted to make way for a series that more closely resembled the look of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and less like the classic comic book character models. So the first two episodes premiered last week and I just watched the first one, and I'm not sure if I'm interested enough to watch the second one. Frankly, I'm pretty disappointed. They've clearly confused quippy zingers with actual wit and there is no chemistry among any of the characters. They are supposed to really dislike each other, so every ten seconds they throw around passive aggressive insults at one another, but it feels forced. Anyone else catch this? Do they feel the same way?
  16. I did not know that Cuba Gooding Jr was going to be in this one. I do like Charlie Sheen going with his birth name, though.
  17. I still haven't figured out this Bob Benson character either. Does he have an angle? Is he shrewdly ambitious, or genuinely kind, helpful and sensitive? Do they have to be mutually exclusive? I've heard that while Don is the epitome of the 60's, Bob represents the 70's that are coming.
  18. A JCPenney billboard features a teapot that looks pretty much just like Hitler:
  19. Most recent episode was good as usual. Seems things at the new firm are unraveling and Peggy has a wagon with no one to hitch it to.
  20. I just saw the Maeby episode and it was hilarious. I always forget how funny Maeby is. The story structure they are doing is super impressive on this season, the way all the episodes more or less retread over the same events, revealing easter eggs from the previous times we've seen them. I'll withhold finale judgment until I've finished the season, but I don't understand why you guys are saying it's not as good as the first three seasons.
  21. So far, the first 8 episodes are very short on Buster, and also pretty short on George Michael and Maeby. There was a disturbing lack of Gob until like the 6th or 7th episode. Looking forward to more.
  22. Iron Man 3 is now the 5th highest grossing movies of all time for worldwide box office. It will probably not go any higher as it is about $200M away from the current 4th highest grossing film, the last Harry Potter. But at least there is no longer a Transformers movie in the Top 5.
