  1. If there was any doubt that Sony will NEVER, EVER let their Spider-Man film rights revert to Marvel/Disney, this should extinguish that doubt. $750M is not that impressive for a major property like Spider-Man anymore. That was enough to come in 7th for the year (4 movies grossed over a billion in 2012). For comparison, all three of the Raimi Spider-Man movies were the 3rd highest grossing movies of their respective years and all made over $800M.
  2. All of these are great ideas, as long as Darkseid is the villain for the Justice League movie. I also am not at all bothered by the prospect of Supergirl in the next movie. I'm worried about the idea that they are looking to have MoS2 in 2014 and JL in 2015. I can't imagine those screenplays wouldn't feel rushed.
  3. And here I was assuming you'd dislike it because I made Nick Peter Parker rather than you.
  4. So Man of Steel banked this weekend, making $125M domestically, a record for a June release. Evidently Warner Bros is taking this news and very ambitiously pushing forward for a sequel next year that will feature Supergirl*, which will lead directly to a Justice League movie in 2015. Sounds to me like they're rushing this, and David Goyer (writer of both the Nolan trilogy and Man of Steel) says Nolan "will not be in the Justice League movie." *For those that saw the movie:
  5. I edited it, but it may be working for me only because the image is still in my cache.
  6. Because it wasn't interesting, or because of it being disturbing or over the top?
  7. I hope Blomkamp is capable of writing and directing other kinds of stories, because he's clearly very talented, it would be great to see him have a long career telling different kinds of stories of D9's quality.
  8. So, This Is the End was totally worth the price of admission. Really funny and lots of unexpected laughs.
  9. Just watched Man of Steel and I'm about to watch This Is the End. Man of Steel was alright. I could definitely see this Superman existing in the same world as Nolan's Batman, and I'd be happy to see a Justice League movie take place in that world.
  10. I think Elysium looks great. From the guy that did District 9, and this looks like it could be as good or possibly better.
  11. Well, while more Aang stuff would obviously be welcome, it has been reported that this season will answer a lot of the open question about how the first Avatar came to be, and how the Avatar cycle began, and what the significance of the Spirit World is.
  12. First look at footage of Book 2 Looks really solid, I love the character designs of the spirits. Still no release date announced, we may have to wait until Comiccon for that announcement. EDIT: Also, A soundtrack for Book 1 of Korra will be released. fans have been asking Nickelodeon for a soundtrack for Avatar The Last Airbender for years with no success, but for Korra, the Track Team invented a new genre of music (jazz if jazz had been invented in China), so a soundtrack seems like a no-brainier.
  13. It would seems so, but Del Toro has a contract for appearances across multiple Marvel films. Would that be for GotG sequels, or other Cosmic Marvel stories? Thor 3, Avengers 2, Planet Hulk?
  14. You mean 'invited back,' right? It's not that crazy, I think. The beef was not between Harmon and Sony, it was between Harmon and Chase. Now that he's gone, why wouldn't they extend an invitation to return?
  15. Seems that if it hasn't been confirmed he's playing Bolivar Trask, then it's all but a sure thing now.
  16. I think that you think I posted the clip where he talked about his mother and father and his non-profit work. That's from the same event, but I posted a clip of him talking about the next X-Men movie. Also, do we not have a thread about domestic violence?
  17. How early in the series does he die?
