Earthworm Jim was cool....Cap'n P actaully finished that one, the ending was...well it was somethin. Sega CD i loved Sonic CD, Spider-Man (longer remake of genesis one), Jurrasic Park (wasnt very good, kinda fun at the time), and these RPG's Lunar 1 & 2. Didnt play too many others sadly.

Wow....this one wasnt all hype at all. To be honest, I enjoyed Princess Mononoke, tho i didnt think it was Miyazaki's best - a really good one, tho, mind you. Junker's right here tho - Alice in Wonderland alla way, at times it gives the non-commerical fantasy feel you wish Disney would. Studio Ghibli has really perfected the art of envoloping the viewer in its fantasy, its really something. The soundtrack (Joe Hisaishi if im not mistaken; one of Japan's famous composers, great work here and on Laputa: Castle in the Sky, Mononoke Hime, etc) isnt just fitting, it really flows with the beautiful animation; its that very ambience & Chihiro's wide-eyed wonder that makes this one as good as it is. I cant wait to pick this one up, its one of those i can see watching many times and not gettin tired of it. Sucks that it didnt get the attention in theatres it deserved, but Miyazaki commented that he's happy its noticed stateside at all, he didnt expect that. In any event, i think its out on domestic release here pretty soon, so the rest of you have no excuse not to at least give this one a rent...you honestly wont regret it.

Why does everyone hate death & rebirth...i thought the series ended pretty good...deep too. Man, fans hated the series' ending (congratulations!) and then the OAV's got everyone all pissy...its like Metal Gear Solid 2, i was all into the philsoophy behind it but everyone else didnt seem to dig it... Anyway, i fly solo here but i dug the endings.

Ok Spirited Away takes first place for my favorite Studio Ghibli production...actually i think its tied with Grave of Firelfies. I dont wanna havta decide between the two, but id like to see em both again to compare.

It has that megaman feeling that when you beat someone really fuckin hard to solve a bitch of a puzzle, you get either an energy tank or a whole new ability that looks really cool. So even if youre pissed and frustrated, you wanna keep goin to see what you get next. Just got me mah ice beam. If things go well, im gonna find me some metroids and show em mah "oh" face.

Ah, the sweet science... as somethin of a (former, hopefully again sometime) boxer, id say this: its one of the best cardio workouts, even if you dont actually spar. Great for stress/catharsis if you need that kinda thing i guess. great for confidence in other matters as well. I think, like with many martial arts, its taught in such a manner that you shouldnt have to use it to truly harm another. Its worlds away from real fights, with biting (outside of Tyson), pickin up a brick, weapons, cheap shots, etc. The general feel is just completely different, if its not youre doin it wrong. On the pro level, yeah ive heard the colloseum analogies, usually by the same losers who feel the need to rant on bout how fake wrestling is...its entertainment, youre entertained by dumb things too, shut up and learn what subjective means. Damn i wish i could catch the Jones fights, that's my boy there and i hear he's heavyweight champ now too, woo hoo!
