With good mouth, it's likely to still having a bad taste in their mouths from Batman and Robin (when something leaves a bad taste in your mouth for 8 years...it's bad)

(After deciphering)

Mouth? Bad taste? Jax??? how bad are we speaking here...? In terms of mouth to ah, other. :bananaman:

Yeah I've stated my distaste for the very theory of Bond after being made to sit through Tomorrow never dies, & watching more of one've the Timothy Dalton ones that featured more than that funky-cold Lotus, but this... Looks different. I hate myself for buying into the hype, but with all your testimonies included, this could be the C&B Bond for me. Another couple weeks til it gets here though, I'm indifferent.

too much hype, about it being the best bond recently etc...

As DoJ says, i thought Craig did a good job, but the plot was pretty weak. Script was the usual James Bond innuendo, and one liners, but i dunno, it just didn't seem right to me.

Each to their own, things can only get better for the franchise, now they've a younger actor to play bond.

That being said the Parkour style action scene was good, and the bit at the airport too...

If this was a report card, it would read "showed potential but could do better"

Again, those are just my thoughts...

I wish theydve spent more time with the villian, but im big on poker so i enjoyed that stuff, and yeah, the parkour was awsome.

I suppose there were elements that coulda been better, but "best bond film in a long time" for me wasnt nearly off; Brosnan was great, but be honest, its been shitty since Goldeneye. Tomorrow Never Dies worked for me cause of Michelle Yeoh, but after that? crap.

Its not like this one broke top 5 and knocked out Thunderball or something, but it was good and a step in the right direction. If wedve stuck with the brosnan/halle berry/here's a song by madonna formula idve not even gone to see it, you know?

See now It's very mixed for me- Being that I've never really seen a Bond film 'cause as a genre there's no interest- there's little expectation. Reviews in here mixed with actual shorts I've now seen for the film do nothing to raise that anticipation. On the other hand this is the first Bond Film to even blip on my radar, and not without goods reason, so I figure this'll prolly go south either way... :eh:

Well, I've finally seen this.

I give it a B.

**Spoiler tags don't seem to be working so I'm warning everyone, now, I'm gonna be talking spoilers...**

I felt the movie was excellent in Action, Tone, Acting and Dialogue.

It kinda lost tension over the poker scene section, though. Just kinda dragged for me, though the bit with the tell and him losing the money was a good twist.

The worst thing about this movie, which really stopped it from being great, was the end. They should have had more romance and falling in love DURING the casino scenes, so that when the accountant goes off with the money at the end, it's snappy.

As it is, all the tension left the movie with Le Chiffre dead and then we had to basically watch a different movie for 15 minutes. (Felt like I was sitting through 'The English Patient'...)

I would have liked a car chase, but I didn't miss Q and the gadgets. M was better in this one than in the crappy way they treated her in World is Not Enough.

Craig was good, but I think he's wierd looking. Not too big a deal though. I liked how he has the inexperienced Bond try to seduce the woman and get information out of her and goes about it totally clumsily : "Can I ask you a personal Question? Does [name] mean anything to you?" while he's still only up to foreplay.
