  1. The biggest thing for me between Steam and Origin is that I semi-Trust Steam. When Gabe says he will flip a switch and make all games DRM-free IF Steam were to ever close, I actually think he will, or at least try and offer some sort of compromise. EA on the other hand I think would do everything to keep you from getting those games. The thing with ALL of these models is everyone is waitng for some place to fail to see what will happen. Because I garauntee if a big name digital distributor were to close and everyone who thought they had bought a game LOST all of it, then they will fuck the rest of the industry as people will suddenly realize that they really don't own these games even though they paid for them. It won't hurt only that distributor that closed, but every other The real reason I am not worried about losing my games IF Steam were to shut down is because... 1. I have most of the games I own, backed up on an external 2. I have the ability to get Steam cracks for most of the games meaning I won't need Steam, if they were to just close their doors and say "Fuck you" to their customers. GoG.Com is what all of these digital distributors should be doing. DRM-Free games. But in the meantime when it comes to choosing between the two (Steam v. Origin) I am going to back the guys who are friendly, offer FREE DLC for their own games, and at least TRY to be as uninvasive as possible. Maybe it is because Steam is privately owned (and you better believe I will definately buy stock when they go public) but they at least seem like they are trying to listen to their customers. Now there are plenty of people who bitch and may or may not have been fucked by Steam, but in my own experience of years and hundreds of games and thousands of hours spent playing those games Steam has rarely ever let me down.

  3. http://www.cracked.com/article_16275_the-9-most-devastating-insults-from-around-world_p2.html The 9 Most Devistating Insults From Around The World There are some GREAT ones in here...my favorite "Spalate pe dinti ca vin cu pula in inspectie" which is Romanian for "Brush your teeth, my dick will be inspecting soon"
  4. I just want to say....FUCK SPIDERS...yeah they ate insects, and small mammals and pterodactyls now apparently, but you know, I would trade having to deal with all the other bugs spiders keep away, if spiders would just go extinct.

  6. Well on my evil chick char, I bedded Liara first game. I am playing the "good guy" playthrough right now. And Jack is too easy I think...wasn't any pay off like I thought there might be with Tali....still nothing.
  7. To me bacon and sweets just don't mix. Bacon is damn good enough on it's own not to need any other stuff with it... And what is the shit the brits call "Sticky Bacon" cause that doesn't look like any bacon I've seen?
  8. I just wanted to add, I spent the past 2 games romancing Tali, just so I could see their face without the body suits on, and when I finally got her in bed, it cuts away as she is removing her mask, and in ME3 she takes her mask off again after you (BIG BIG SPOILER DONT READ IF YOU ARE PLAYING) But she has her back to the camera the whole time!! I am gonna be pissed if they don't show any Quarians without masks on!
  9. Oohh, bacon is the taco shell....fucking brilliant!!
  10. Seriously, best game ever! It has all the right elements, not too much of any one, not too little, it's just perfection in video game form. The choices aren't clear anymore either. Send in the Krogan squad to die, and they just might come out alive anyways, Choose the Geth over the Quarians and...well no spoilers yet. About 25 hours in, not even close to finishing. Can't say enough about this game!
  11. Just had to say ME 3 is AWESOME!!! If I get to go to the Quarian Fleet I will be able to die a happy man. BYEBYE back to the game.
  12. You like Classic Punk...like Classic Rock, just no radio stations play it...
  13. Oh I have consoles too to lure all the little kids in. Then while they are having fun playing a game, I am surfing forums trying to figure out why the same game wont run on my PC. There are some games I like playing on my pc though versus playing it on a console. If the damn console makers would just put out their own branded mouse and keyboard though I would probably get rid of my PC's.
  14. Syrian Doctors and Nurses torture patients at Military Hospital
  15. I would so buy it if it was a companion cube!! Otherwise I am with mal...what the fuck is the point of ME spending $300 more dollars to play games I can already play perfectly fine? The market I could less about. Steam has on average 2-4 MILLION people connected to it at any one time. It ain't going anywhere soon, unless the pc market dies, which if it hasn't done by now I don't think it will ever happen (within my lifetime of course). Honestly I have supported Steam since Day 2 (I couldn't connect day 1), and if this did what steam does for PC, for consoles then I could see it being EXTREMELY successful, for many reasons already mentioned. Will I buy a Steambox? Probably not, I like building computers, and half the fun of getting games is getting them to run. Is it driver issues this time? Can my PC handle the game? Did the devs fuck up and release the game too early, it's a crapshoot. So all you lazy stupid americans, give Steam more money, please! I know it is hard to figure out computers and you should just stick to whacking off to child porn and luring people to your home so you can rob and then kill them. That's all easy enough. Figuring out how a game will run....fuck that, that is why God invented the console! Go PC Master Race!
  16. Logan your Dad and Step-mom are cool as hell. One who's got probably one of the world best comics collections and the other is a singer/songwriter with a few albums to her name and many adoring South American fans (unless she has gotten more popular elsewhere since then). Of course I think we were rolling that night so I dunno, but either way they were both very cool people regardless of the drugs. Yay me! edit: the date needs to be changed apparently, didn't see that before, but I assure you that pic was taken today, when I finally got Holy Terror and 18 Days in after waiting weeks for them.
  17. So who else is getting it at midnight tonight?? I feel all tingly in my naughty parts just waiting.
  18. Hey, that is just more food for me!
  19. As long as all my games will transfer I am down, otherwise I already have a Steambox with a controller and trackball!
  20. I don't think this warrants it's own thread, but has anyone seen Snuff Box? British semi-sketch comedy show. I've watched the first few eps on Netflix, and it is hard to describe. It has a plot (kinda), but then it randomly just goes off on tangents. Still worth a watch if you like odd comedy shows.
  21. Interesting documentary. To think that there is even such a place in the world. I have always been curious to why the Japanese are so prone to suicide and I have read and seen numerous reasons to explain why. Still none of it really seems to completely answer the question. And also like the ecologist says, "Why come to such a beautiful place to commit suicide?" Until the dead start to talk, we will probably never know truly.
  22. I like my games as well (except Shinobido, but I just need to get used to the controls I think). I want to try Wipeout and BlazBlue eventually. And while you can use other controls besides the Vita controls they are always active, so like in Shinobido I will try to use the grappling hook with normal controls, but my finger will be resting on the back touchscreen so it will think I am trying to use the touchscreen to aim, and wont let me aim with the left stick. Stuff like that is what gets me. Also having to use the Sixaxis control in Dynasty Warriors to aim for certain minigames. I look like a fool out in public suddenly turning this way and that way to try and hit everyone in game. I am curious as to how the F1 2k11 game plays. I love racing games, the more sim like the better imo, but I also like the whole Wipeout series. I have the psp wipeout game and the PSN Wipeout game and expansion. So 2048 will be a definate purchase sometime in the future.
  23. Yeah, and both Gravity Rush and Persona 4 are months away. The game I have been playing the most on my Vita so far has been the psp release of Persona 3. Both Dynasty Warriors Next and Hot Shots Golf- International are good games. They are fun, but they both feel like they were specifically designed for short, "on-the-go" play sessions. All of the games seem like that, except maybe the Uncharted game, but that is going to be 8 hours or so max. I also recently got Shinobido 2. It's another game that seems like it is just trying to shoehorn in as many different ways to use all of the Vita's new functionality as possible. But it is cumbersome, and instead of explaining the games many different abilities and how to use and do different things in a way that may be intuitive, it is just page after page of super-small print telling you what to do, but not really explaining it. The 3DS doesn't have a stellar line-up coming in the future for it either. But at least at launch you had a decent sized back catalog to play with On the plus side, it can only get better right?
  24. Now for the one-week review. I can't overstate how much better the graphics are. Some games I have played have used the touchscreen to good effect. Though I don't know if I will ever get used to the rear touchscreen. But right now the biggest kicker is the lack of games. Without being able to download ps1 games, and a majority of psp games, there just isn't much to do, and no games with long staying power. Most Vita games are meant for short play sessions, and not many hold up in the long run. The DS had day 1 rpg's and the 3DS at least had a few on the horizon. Zelda came shortly after release (i think), but you still could play every single DS game if not. Right now I wish I had just spent the money on a psp, at least then I could play Xenogears or FF1-7 on the go. And I would be able to play all the games I had already paid for and not have to buy new ones. If you haven't bought a Vita, chances are you aren't planning on getting one in the next few days or weeks and that is a good thing. Right now hold off until the list of games gets bigger or they at least patch the ability to play ps1 or ps2 games and the rest of the PSP catalog. PSVITA itself 9/10 PSVita worth as a gaming console at present 5/10
  25. Yeah but the creepy voice is the same as Cobain mumbling, it's just how he sings. And Down in the Park was quoted (wrongly) as being off the Sweet Dreams single, but it was actually off the Lunchbox single iirc. One of the Portrait singles at least. I stopped listening to Manson after (during/before) Mechanical Animals. As this is getting off topic let's get BACK TO THE 80's!! http://youtu.be/ahitJjavTCM This one just skip to about 15 seconds in, it's worth it just to see the cover of the cd and what the guy is wearing, if you don't laugh you have no soul! http://youtu.be/t0oALRL7uyY http://youtu.be/Q05DGnEio3w
