So...itll actually be 1080p instead of 720p for every game this next gen. And WOWOWOW I am playing on a 6000 series card right fucking now on my laptop.... So once again consoles will be where computers were their last gen....uggg. I think people would shell out 500-1000 on a Computer Console that'd play games with all the special features that are available with new tech. Full 1080p, AA, Soft Shadowing, Full Bloom or HDR, and whatever else they come up with. Then maybe we could get some decent Pc/Console ports....

Well since forums are made for discussion it is pretty pointless to just acquiesce. Plus I have found a niche in being eliteist about metal in general. If you want to take offense because of that STILL, there isn't much I can do. How many times have I said "It is all in good fun" ?? But you still want to take it as a personal affront when I give you shit about Megadeth. Nothing else have I given you shit about. Nothing else have I gotten on a high horse about. I figured by now, most of you would realize it as a running gag, and take it as a joke, but I guess not. Like ASC before you, you have said a few things here and there, but I didn't take you as a person who primarily listened to metal. And as we all know I have some very specific and eliteist views when it comes to metal. It is something I know a lot about so it is one of the few times I will argue and express my opinions so boldly. Plus I have been defending Death/Black/Thrash/Grind for damn near on 15 years now. So many people who ONLY listen to Megadeth and Metallica and Sabbath and think that anything else is just a joke. So instead of taking it so personally, why not give me shit for liking "cookie monster vocals" and 5 minutes of just palm muting and blast beats. Or there is the whole Black Metal genre that is ripe for picking apart. Or Goregrind where it just sounds like someone burping and farting into a mic. Regardless of how opinionated I am about metal, I still have a sense of humor about it.

I was giving you shit because you said Megadeth was metal back in the day. Man, and I guess you forgot where I gave you credit for never recommending a bad song to me. You are the only person on here I will actually listen to something I haven't heard before SOLEY because you recommended it. So don't get your panties in such a bunch. You're good people despite you liking and/or thinking Megadeth is metal.

Shaolin Soccer is great don't get me wrong, but if you're going for Stephen Chow (Chaoi) I just saw King of Beggars on netflix and it is another great movie by him. Everyone has heard about or seen Shaolin Soccer by now (except Bin, bless his heart) so I figured bumping another one of his films most of us may or may not have seen would be better than just saying..."Yeah Shaolin Soccer is great"

I dig 3, plus 3 was the first R movie I ever saw in theaters. My parents promised me if I got an A on this project I had to do for school they would take me to see Alien 3 when it came out. It wasn't Aliens by any stretch, but for what it was it was good, and I really liked the ending even though they killed off Ripley (sort of). Plus seeing a real life Bishop at the end was cool. 4, it is ok. I'll watch it but it wouldn't be the first one I grab if I am wanting an Alien fix.

I am going to go with Alien(s). If the second one is allowed than definately. The first was good, but for me Aliens is where it is at. Bladerunner has a timeless story, but I think all in all it is starting to show it's age now. The Thing I think is the weakest of the 3. It has aged well, but I think it's influence is felt the least these days. But they have all been emulated and have influenced so much, that now a days it is hard to tell what influenced what exactly.

And real metal IS about demons and killings and abortions...come on now. You all seem to think (and yeah it is partly my own fault) that I think if you don't like some underground band from a country you can't pronounce you aren't metal. Not the truth. I had no problem with DKS01, It was just fun having a pissing contest over Metal, been a while. DKS01 is still better than most of you people when it comes to music though, his heart was in the right place, he was just a generation behind. Which is fine, just not for me. There is a very small amount of bands though that will get me fucking fuming irritated if you do claim to like them and also claim to be a metal god/diety/demon whatever. Megadeth is one such band. Rise against may just be another one....fucking straightedge vegans...i mean wtf?? Anyways I'll rip on them later. They arent even metal though, just shitty. So if you like some metal good on you. I might give you shit on your choice of metal, but it's all in good fun, you still like Metal and that is what counts. Now it is up to me to make sure you start to like "Good" metal. Shit man I thought you were mainly into mainstream shit, which I don't have a problem with. And I didn't make any assumptions based on you saying Sabbath is the best metal act, I was mainly going by the poll (before the update) it's just no band like Carcass or Dimmu or even Death made it to the poll. But to see stuff like SYL, Emperor, OLD Machinehead, bring tears to this old man's eyes. Finally someone else I can argue talk to...kinda lol. Out of all that, how was Therion live? If you remember that is. They were one of the bands I used to love back in the day and kinda just moved on from, but I always wanted to see their live show.

Well I agree that the average Scott Pilgrim movie fan could probably pirate the film, I just don't think the box office takings for that specific movie is low due to pirating.

Well it was two books collected into one, so I am assuming that is had that one too. Volume 1: My Father Bleeds History Volume 2: And Here My Troubles Began Volume 2 is Vladek in Auschwitz and Art and his wife visiting his father in the Catskills. If that helps. Also wanted to say there were quite a few times I would audibly say "Holy shit" or "Oh fuck" out loud at some of things that happened. Nancy kept looking at me asking "what??" but I would just tell her I was reading the book. Though I loved the part where Vladek had to bury the people that had ratted him out. Pure justice right there. I kinda wanted to nominate Vladek as a "Badass Motherfucker" for everything he did to survive, but really, I assume it would be what most of us would do, I hope. Plus a LOT of his survival was dependent upon an inordinate amount of luck. Still, he was definately a strong person, both physically and mentally and even morally. I am glad I got to read his story. This is definately one of those great examples of what comics CAN be, and that they aren't just superhero fantasies for adolescent boys.

Sat down and read Maus in one sitting. It is a great story, and it is one of those things that you couldn't come up with a story like that if you tried. What Vladek and Anja went through was quite literally hell, and the way they made it through is part grit and determination and part just flat out good luck in a sense. I still don't know who sent me the book, but once again thank you, it was a great read and one I will keep on my bookshelf for a long time to come. If you haven't read it yourself, you need to.

Music though is a whole different topic. I download a LOT of music. But I also buy a lot of music. I bought two cds off CdBaby about a week ago. I can't say I have every album I have downloaded on cd as well, but I am trying. But I have been exposed to a lot more music because I pirate, and have bought albums I would have never even known about if I hadn't just downloaded them randomly on a whim. So pirating hurts some musicians, but then you have people like Trent Reznor putting out 4 cd albums for free. Plus when I was in rehab I was roomed with a guy who used to be in the music business and he was talking about how today a lot of bands make most of their money from tours, they really don't care about cd sales so much anymore. Well not that they don't care, but they will only be getting maybe at most a dollar per cd sold. Split this among however many people are in your band or helped you make the cd, and well thats not a lot left over for you. Yeah a lot of people who are "normal" wont/cant/dont pirate and will only purcahse stuff legitimately, but I say if your shit is good, people will buy it anyways.
