  1. So the PS4 will be more powerful than the 720? Is that like how even though the ps3 is more powerful than the 360, the 360 has more games in 1080p, and there is really no difference in visual quality or load times between the two? Way to go Sony! Lose even more money by putting in better equipment and then don't take advantage of that in any meaningful way. Also will this generation truly be the last gen that lets us play USED games?? I want to see how bad not being able to play used games fucks the console industry. I mean if they thought the backlash from DRM was bad, this is going to be a clusterfuck of EPIC proportions. Also I will NOT buy a console if I can't play used games.
  2. Ok so how many people here actually got the 100% ending? I think this may be a big reason behind why everyone is bitching. I haven't done ANY of the multiplayer, so my readiness for the sectors was always 50%. Now I had more than 4000 in my War Effort, but I didn't get no special ending like Arch said happens, so I think it is more than just having 4000 resoruces in the War Effort. That being said, yes people are bitching because they LOVED the game, and the ending just kinda flaked. Of course we may all be missing something, or they may have not released the true ending or whatever. But there is a general concenceus (sp) that the endings suck and that can't be ignored (from a design perspective).
  3. ROFL, I can't.....stop.....laughing....lol....
  4. First off I wanted to say in reply to those Idol Metal Videos....It really is no suprise a guy in a "Bullet For My Valentine" knows and sings Celine Dion, go listen to the band, it'll all make sense as they TOO try to emulate, I mean channel, Celine on many occasions. Now did I hear NZA say he "likes" Celtic Frost??? Can you say GODDAMN!!
  5. I gotcha there, it was very much just an interactive movie. But for being that I still thought it was decent. Though I need to go back and play it again and see how long the game is when you skip all the cutscenes, I would guess about an hour, MAYBE two...lol.
  6. Asura's Wrath is actually a decent game tho. Maybe not worth $60 but it's not a "Terrible Game" by any means. The new SSX and Armored Core you were good to stay away from.
  7. Anyone seen "Shut Up Little Man?" Basically about two guys who recorded their neighbors fights back in the mid 80's San Fransisco. I found a few recordings, but if anyone knows anywhere I can find more that would be great. I will buy it eventually, but for now I must hear more, it's addicting!
  8. Epic showdown with Link...hmm I think I can do that...
  9. Game looks hard as fuck, but full of nice little tidbits and throwbacks.
  10. When the Concordia went down, apparently life wasn't the only thing lost. Among such treasures that were lost was an ORIGINAL print of "Mt. Fuji off Kanagawa" otherwise known as the only japanese print the western world knows about...
  11. lol, there really isn't a first one, but that is all explained in the movie. Don't expect ANYTHING and you might be suprised. Also I forgot to mention, not just titties, but a little cock and balls included for the ladies.
  12. Yeah that mark of flame spell is fucking DEADLY, though I didn't like using chakrams all that much. But I can see the advantages in a lot of situations.
  13. Did you stick with any particular class through most of it? I tried all of the classes and once I got past lvl 16 I tried out all the skills, but tended to go with a Ranged/Mage class. Still haven't beaten it, but I will get back around to it one of these days.
  14. I just finished watching Poolboy 2: Drowning out the Fury. It is a film about Kevin Sorbo coming back from Vietnam and not knowing how to adjust to life back in the states, starts up a Pool cleaning service. This is a spoof comedy/documentary and at times it is pretty damn funny, but other times it is just so stupid it borders on retarded (in a bad way). But seeing Hercules vs. Machete (aka Danny Trejo) is worth it. Don't watch it though if you have a problem with racism against mexicans and seeing lots of random titties.
  15. It isn't just about the last choice, but I would like some explanation of the consequences of my actions instead of just being told beforehand what will happen when I make either choice that is all. Some "personalized" ending isn't too much to ask considering the laundry list of choices that affect a lot of different things in ME3. Just showing people walking out of the ship on some planet at the end, like Mal has said It wasn't the choice at the end so much as the effects it has. For a very much story-driven game and narrative they kinda rushed the ending it seems. The never explain the keepers, the reaper origins, what truly happens based on your decisions, just a vague explanation before you make your end choice. But I guess we can look forward to all of this being explained in ME4-6 + DLC. Thanks Bioware!!
  16. Yeah, I have been thinking about that and I think Bioware kind of shot themselves in the foot by giving players so many choices. They had to account for ANY and ALL choices player did or didn't make with the ending. And instead of that being a good thing, it really limited what they could do with the ending. Though some sort of personalized epilogue even along the line of Fallout 3's ending would have been nice. Not to ruin anything because you do have a choice at the end, but basically nothing else you chose up to that point matters. Whatever you choose at the end, I guess it just changes who it shows. (I am being vague as to not spoil the ending for people wanting to play it). I really, really loved the series. It would be my choice as Game/Series of the Generation. But for all they put into the series, they should have done more with the ending. Maybe that is what DLC is for? "Want to know what REALLY happens in the end to Mass Effect 3 - 2400 MS Points"
  17. Nope not me, I only played about an hour of 2 on the 360. It had that Divinity Ego Draconis feel to it. Ohhh wait, nm I am thinking of Divinity. TW2 was actually pretty decent. They improved a lot from the first, but it still isn't the best action-rpg out there. I'd rank it up there with Arcania: Gothic 4 and Risen and those games. But then again I played Two Worlds for a good 15-20 hours. I also played the shit out of Divinity. So take it as you will. In other words: Skyrim>Reckoning>Arcania>Two Worlds 2>Risen>Gothic 3> Two Worlds 1
  18. Yep, I haven't played the Two Worlds 2 expansion yet, but that seems to be a lot like it, and very Piratey as well. (on a side note, I loved Pirates of Dark Water when I was a kid!)
  19. So has anyone else beaten ME 3 yet? I would like to discuss the differences between games without having to play through all three games again. Just basically what choices you made and how they affected the game.
  20. Fez! Can't wait for that one! Risen 2, the first was one was ok, still have a lot of hope for this one.
  21. American Grindhouse was good, as was Not quite Hollywood.
  22. Just wanted to bump Salo, I got to scar yet another mind letting someone watch that lovely piece of cinematic wonder that got the director murdered...I LOVE Salo! Last movie I watched was Dororo. Japanese demon flick, not much substance, but it was fun, over the top gore too. Kinda like Versus, but no guns and set in old times.
  23. I've been watching a lot of docs lately as well. A lot of them on North Korea and that whole area's history. Netflix has a few good docs on the subject, but really the best one I saw that shows how truly fucked up N. Korea is was The Red Chapel, where two Dannish-Korean (i think it was Denmark) comedians and a Dannish producer/comedian go to North Korea to try and put on a sketch comedy show The comedy is not really what the doc is about, because see one of the Dannish-Korean comedians is a "spastic" and in N. Korea there are no people with hanicaps or retardations of any kind. To see how they treat him and his fully "healthy" counterpart is some of the most fucked up shit ever. They are OBVIOUSLY trying to indoctrinate the healthy guy into coming and being a part of the regime. While they say nice platitudes to the "spastic" he in reality knows he would have been killed at birth or as soon as his condition became apparent. It is a very good look into modern N. Korea. There is another one called the "Juche Idea" or something close to that, which kind of explains Kim Jong Il's theory on making movies. The good thing about that doc is that you actually get to see some N. Korean movies and shows, something not many americans get the chance to do. Moving into a different realm "Darkon" is about a bunch of Nerds in Baltimore that have basically turned the city into a LARP game. The trials and tribulations of one man and his force vs. the "King" of Darkon and his force and allies is quite interesting. You get it all, from 5 minutes of some kid pretending to be fighting stuff in his living room, to the political underpinning of the whole Darkon realm. If you are a nerd it is pretty funny as well. Especially the one kid who joined Darkon for his first ever human interaction.
