Since I just got internet back, I am kinda slow on the uptake with this one, only up to lvl 30...but look me up, or not as the Diablo servers are down for maintanence!!!! wtf!!

Wow, must be some sort of something going on, because I spent yesterday listening to all the good offspring from back in the day, on youtube. I had got Bad Habit stuck in my head somehow and decided to listen to them again for the first time in almost a decade (aside from the occasional radio play). Didn't even know they were still around, but it sounds like it is best to just remember the older stuff and not listen to the new stuff, just like just about every other band I liked back in the 90's.

Gantz is one of the few manga that is just as good in anime (or live action) form. It is a damn good series. Berserk would be the only manga that I think is better than Gantz. As an aside, anyone else think Berserk is really just a love story wrapped in a whole lot of death and gore? He is doing everything for Casca, killing all these things, traveling to different places, everything is for Casca and his love for her. I didn't think it would be so romantically inclined but it is.

Well just to get this thread started again I am just going to list all the manga I enjoy reading or enjoyed in the past. As already Mentioned Lone Wolf and Cub, GTO, Akira, Bastard! are all good series. Some of my other favorites: Berserk, Battle Angel Alita including Last Order, Ghost in the Shell 1, 1.5 and 2 plus the new Stand Alone Complex series. Record of Lodoss War, Blame! Biomega, Abara, Battle Royal, Gantz (I really love Gantz), Golden Boy, Highschool of the Dead, Inuyasha, Hellsing, Monster, Path of the Assassin, Rurouni Kenshin, Tenjou Tenge, Vagabond, and Yu Yu Hakusho. Even if you have seen the anime for some of these and didn't like it, in almost every case I have come across, the manga is ALWAYS better than the Anime. I have found anime has a lot of filler crap in it to save money and artificially extend the length of the episode. Not that all anime does this or is bad, but if I had a choice between watching an anime or reading the manga, I would probably always choose to read the manga.

I had no idea who Matt Berry was until I randomly started watching Snuff Box on Netflix. The song at the begining was one that I thought I had heard before, like Matt was doing a cover of some old folk song or something, but it turns out that it is his own song. Plus that explains why they sing so much and have so many musical sketches in Snuff Box. I'll have to see what his music is like...would never have guessed he had albums (plural) out.

That is what I am wondering too. Apparently it (or another device that is similar) will play Wii games as well. So it may be some extra circuitry or Ram or something like that.

So you would rather have to track down gamecube games that will eventually get scratched and messed up and replaced as opposed to loading a file of the same game? I know it isn't the same as having a portable gamecube, but it is much more efficient I would say.

The disc spinning in the back would get to me. What would be better, as per Logan's example, is take the proprietary chips from the gamebube and find small versions of other stuff you need and engineer them together in a small little package.

Cool kid, and it's great his dad let him just run wild with his imagination. Apparently he has over $141,000 donated to his college fund. And I was reading some of the comments on Youtube (I don't know why) and someone was complaining that because he has that much in his college fund he doesn't have to work now in his life. Accept you know you can't just pay every college to accept you. He still has to get good grades, and succeed if he wants to go to a decent college, but I think him having his college paid has quite the opposite effect as the youtube poster is trying to say. Personally if I knew that I had the money in place to go to ANY college I wanted to, as long as I got the grades, I think I would have made a lot more of an effort in school. I doubt his college prospects were very good before this, he would probably end up working under his dad at the store. Nothing wrong with that, and sure he might have gotten a grant to go some local community college or something, but now he knows he can choose whatever college he wants and doesn't have to worry about paying for it. I think he will work a lot harder than he would have. Great find though!

Well I look at it like, it'll hold me over until Torchlight 2. I don't care if it isn't much of an upgrade, loot wise, plot wise, char wise or anything else. It's fun, mindless click on a dude till her explodes kinda fun. I don't really give a shit, but I am not gonna turn down a beta invite for a game I know I will like.

Well Killer 7 and No more Heroes immediately jump to mind. They weren't all bad, but I am not gonna be buying an HD edition remake (or the No More Heroes remake that already came out). And if this makes GOTY I will literally print out a page of this thread and eat my words. lol

Who the hell doesn't like Alan Moore's writing?? Anyways, I watched the doc on Albert Fish. Oldest person ever to be executed, but damn was that dude fucked up. There are obvious reasons why, and in a way I felt sorry for him, but he is still one sadistic, fucked in the head, psychopath. If you are into serial killers and the like, it's worth the watch.

Well I guess we know the next game Nick is going to love and say is great no matter how non-sensical the story is, or how bad the controls are, or how unplayable it is in general. Suda 51 is involved...Nick WILL LIKE IT! Still Shadows of the Damned was a fun game, hopefully this will be even better than that one.

Stopped watching History channel regularly about two years ago, couldn't take it anymore. Now I just buy those CBS WWII docs they advertise all the time instead.

Yeah that started with first you needed the disc to run the game, then DRM came along, but I remember the days of lending a disc to install it, then getting the disc back and both could play the game. Granted that was a long time ago. And I am not saying to switch to PC gaming, just wait a month before buying a new console. If everyone did that, they would revert back real quick. And PC gamers only swallowed so much. A lot of the more archaic DRM was removed because people refused to purchase the game with the DRM attached. Of course some still bought the games, but they tried to do some downright illegal type spying shit with PC DRM. Just like if BF3 was PC only, Origin would be gone by now. But this is still mostly just rumors. Just my old man rant against new shit.
