Hammil has said that he regretted saying those things because crybaby fans have taken them and run with them, he's said that Johnson's decisions for the character were better than what he had originally thought and that his interpretation for who the character became were boring. Disney kinda already has a Solo n' Lando...but, we still haven't seen how all that is received. LOL - it might work better as an animated feature - straight to blu / dvd. They could do so many one-shots as animated ventures that...may not be home-runs as 'General Audience Blockbusters'...but surely, fans would eat up. Thinking of DCs animated straight-to-dvd projects.
