Iambaytor
It's a mixed bag, but the important thing is that they can be reprinted! I mean Marvel's Godzilla comics were nothing special but it still makes me happy they're in print. Also I just really really want ROM the Spaceknight to go back to being Marvel's. They did a lot more with that stupid-ass toy robot than Parker Brothers ever did.
Newtype
This also means Marvel could potentially release all its old goofy-ass Star Wars comics. You mean the same comics that dark horse have been releasing the last few years in omnibus format.

Iambaytor
You mean the same comics that dark horse have been releasing the last few years in omnibus format. Fair enough, you can call it ignorance based on thinking that Dark Horse only published their own shitty Star Wars comics.
the division of joy
I hope to god they never greenlight a Monkey Island movie. That'd just be a stab in the heart.
Iambaytor
People'd probably call it a Pirates of the Caribbean ripoff.

Thrizzle
Both my phone and my home browser scream at me not to click that link. Summary?
the division of joy
People'd probably call it a Pirates of the Caribbean ripoff. That is just depressingly true
Keth
Space's linktalks about how damon lindelof is probably set for writing ep 7 (bad). Brad bird is a possibility to direct (good imo). Will read it when I get home. My phone is shit
Iambaytor
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that link may not be kosher and in fact may be filled with lies. Lindleof isn't necessarily a bad thing so long as there's no plot twists.
Mr. Hakujin
By law, Disney should actually have to build this in Orlando as one of their themed hotels.Storm Trooper bell hops. People at the front desk in Imperial uniforms. Darth Vader wake up call.
Maldron
But without plot twists, how can you have sequels?
the division of joy
A good long story with some decent writing?
Maldron
I just don't see that happening. Somebody's gonna be somebody's baby daddy what you didn't expect. Truth.
The NZA
Harrison Ford "open to the idea" of starring in new Star Wars trilogy The news just keeps getting better for Star Wars fans! Entertainment Weekly reports that Harrison Ford might -- might -- be back as Han Solo in the newly announced Star Wars: Episode VII, which is slated for a 2015 release. “Harrison is open to the idea of doing the movie and he’s upbeat about it, all three of them are,” according to EW's "highly placed source" close to Ford. The site adds, though, "Ford won’t go to the next level of contract talks until there’s a script and director in place. Either could be a deal breaker." Unlike his Indiana Jones franchise, Ford's famously and long been less than enthusiastic about Star Wars and its hold on pop culture. But EW says the new regime at Lucasfilm and the prospect of a hefty Star Wars payday might be enough to whet his appetite to get Han Solo back into the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon one more time. Iambaytor
I hate to tell you but Mark Hammil and Carrie Fisher aren't looking so hot these days either.
The NZA
i'm not looking up either to verify, because we both know you're right
Thrizzle
I don't see why any of these people or characters need to have anything to do with a new Star Wars movie. I understand the films are primarily concerned with the story of the Skywalker family, but still.
Iambaytor
Yes, even Carrie I'm sorry to say. Apparently doing lots of cocaine is bad for you Because Carrie Fisher needs work goddamit! And Mark Hammil might as well show up and remember what it was like to get paid to be in things physically and not just vocally. Also because Harrison Ford needs to redeem himself in the eyes of everyone (I'm in the camp that liked Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, personally, but I do admit he just doesn't do enough these days and most of what he does do sucks) They're all too old to be the leads but I think at very least Luke needs to be a sensei figure to whatever Jedi is the lead in this bunch. Keth
I'd actually like to see this happen, like, 1000 years in the future or something. Make it accessible to new people and forget the old shit.
Iambaytor
If they wanted to do that they should just make a Knights of the Old Republic movie.

The NZA
KOTOR would indeed be fun, as would a hologram version of Shadows of the Empire
