The NZA Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 IMDB's page - having these 2 on a horror/pulp film alone should be enough to warrant hype, and that's before you even realize that the chick in one feature has a fucking machine gun for a leg. Anyone know more/hyped? Baytor's gotta be feeling this.
Ganny McVagflaps Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 Plus Kurt Russell as a serial killer. Snake Plissken's weapon of choice...
Iambaytor Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 Baytor's gotta be feeling this. That's the understatement of the fucking millenium. Tarantino AND Rodriquez, horror movies, Kurt Russell, and one even has zombies. The anticipation alone is orgasmic. I've always felt that both of these directors should get back into horror because The Faculty and From Dusk Till Dawn were brilliant so I'm happily anticipating that these will be two of the best horror films of all time.
The NZA Posted November 26, 2006 Author Posted November 26, 2006 2T - shit, i didnt even see his name, i guess i was focusing on the senshik Rosario part. 'Tor - well, its good youre not over-hyping it in your head, then, eh?
Iambaytor Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 'Tor - well, its good youre not over-hyping it in your head, then, eh? I don't need to, it does it all by itself.
Ganny McVagflaps Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 Don't listen to him 'baytor. Nick only watches artsy-fartsy crap like "Van Wilder 2: The Rise of Taj". He's just a hater.

La Lindsay Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 put up the cool poster i showed you last week. the one with rose mcgowan.
crimsonfire Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 Read about this in Empire a good few months back when it was still only in development hell. Its gonna be a fanboys wet dream from what ive heard.
Reverend Jax Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 Danny Trejo (who is awesome, btw) is playing a character named Machete? Didn't he play a character named Machete in another Rodriguez flick? Anyway, it'll be refreshing to see horror flick without Sarah Michelle Gellar.
La Lindsay Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 i think this is a really cool idea. and they're going to play fake trailers before each flick done by relatively well-known directors too (eli roth was one of the names i read). and it also mentioned that tarantino and rodriguez both wanted to do a sequel to grindhouse based off of two of the trailers. i fucking can't wait till april.
Jont Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 Anyway, it'll be refreshing to see horror flick without Sarah Michelle Gellar. I was thinking that the other day, like, come on Sarah, I already saw Saw 3 with you, this time me and the boys are going to see Grindhouse.

I've seen it. Trejo, knives and boobs. Wow.
Ganny McVagflaps Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 There was some horror awards show on (I think) Spike that showed a preview of it. Here it is - CLEEEEK. Dailymotion foreva.
Reverend Jax Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 and that's before you even realize that the chick in one feature has a fucking machine gun for a leg. I've seen this concept before in Samurai Jack, where the Scotsman character had a machine gun peg leg Applying a concept to a leather clad stone cold fox is always a good way to improve upon it though.
Ganny McVagflaps Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 I like them crazy babysitter twins.
The NZA Posted November 29, 2006 Author Posted November 29, 2006 put up the cool poster i showed you last week. the one with rose mcgowan. I tried; hotlinking failed me. Here goes:
Jont Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 Danny Trejo (who is awesome, btw) is playing a character named Machete? Didn't he play a character named Machete in another Rodriguez flick? Ahem... Spy Kids Spy Kids didn't have any boobs, well one of them might have, at least by the third movie.
Iambaytor Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 Wait... is Tom Savini the star of the Planet Fear or Rodriguezes movie is called? I knew he was in it but the promo leads me to believe he's the star. Also, I now want a trench coat full of machetes and a motorcycle with a handlebar mounted minigun.
Ganny McVagflaps Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 Savini was the balls in "From Dusk 'til Dawn".
Reverend Jax Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 It's called Planet Terror. There wasn't any Carla Gugino boobage in Spy Kids? Are ou sure?
Ganny McVagflaps Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 There shoulda been. Clooney woulda removed that black bar from his eyes a fuck of a lot quicker.
Silent Bob Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 It's called Planet Terror. There wasn't any Carla Gugino boobage in Spy Kids? Are ou sure? Only in my mind. As for Danny Trejo, I guess Rodriguez finally ran out of knife names for the guy and had to start recycling.
