  1. Moore himself has expressed his disappointment and hatred of how the movie is turning out, so I'm sure the fans won't like it either. From Hell wasn't a bad movie, it just didn't follow Moore's at all. To me, it's like I Robot and Constantine - people wouldn't have quite so much of a problem with it if it wasn't "adapted" from a piece of work that was completely different. One thing I will say about V, I'm glad they didn't change the plot after the London bombings.
  2. Colors by...wait, what colors? Is it gonna have colors? I like the black and white...
  3. We should add some more categories. I want my life soundtrack to be a three disc set.
  4. Yeah, I've been so spoiled with dual analog control that using the one joystick (and the yellow c buttons to strafe) has become near impossible.
  5. I could do the same thing. By the time the Gamecube came out, I had played GoldenEye so many times, I had every enemy in the game, and all the hidden stuff memorized. I could run through the entire game without stopping, dying, or usually even taking a hit. It was kinda sad. I tried to pick the game up again a couple weeks ago. God, I suck now.
  6. Yeah, Breaking Up songs are usually so much more interesting than Falling In Love songs.
  7. The great thing about the new controller - and I gotta give the Sony guys credit for considering this - when you get frustrated with a game and throw it across the room, it comes back.
  8. GameSpot has worked fine for me. I've always agreed with their game reviews and they're good at keeping up with the news (during E3 they literally updated every 10 minutes or so). Still, news and reviews are all I really look at, I don't know if it's good for much else. And yeah, newtype, after Halo 2, Gates has to be on some major drugs to think people are going to want to buy Halo 3 before the PS3.
  9. I think Clooney could've nailed either version. I think a gruffer version of his Three Kings role would've been great for the old war dog Fury. But I didn't know he had already turned it down, 's too bad.
  10. A rumor from Dark Horizons: Man, I like Willis but...Fury? I really wanted to see Jackson play Ultimate Fury, but I guess... I dunno, I can't see Willis as classic Fury, I was thinking someone like Clooney.
  11. Ok, I'll admit, Clocks was decent. MH, you've probably heard at least Run by Snow Patrol if you've listened to the radio at all in the last year. I like the song enough that I'll probably give the album a shot next time I see (steal) it. 'Specially if it's getting recommendations from the resta ya.
  12. That and I just don't know how to work the damn thing and don't necessarily care enough about it to learn...
  13. Amen to SOF and Junker. I've also been one of those who's always compared them to U2, but usually by saying they "sound like a cover band that does nothing but U2's mediocre songs". Very few Coldplay songs have ever done anything for me more than blah, and I really can't name a single one that I'd actually say I liked.
  14. Though I hafta say it seems a little like King Kong lives in Mordor, but other than that - wow. Props to Jackson for being smart enough to use all that cgi to heighten reality instead of trying to duplicate it.
  15. Strangely enough, 20th Century Fox didn't bother going after Disney for Sky High, yet another movie about a superhero school. The suit also fails to mention that the movie (now titled simply "Zoom") stars Tim Allen and Chevy Chase and seems about as different from the XMen movies as you can possibly get in the superhero drama (I'm picturing a superhero version of Galaxy Quest). That and you can't copyright an idea.
  16. That guy's a master at making vague statements about movies that really amount to absolutely nothing. I'm curious to see how exactly Namor could be compared to Jurassic Park. My vote's Jude Law as Namor, though.
  17. From IMDb: Now I can understand if they think the Rachel Dawes character has run it's course, that's probably true. But that last remark was just petty. Holmes did a fine job in the movie.
  18. Ho..ly...shit! That was the perfect Batman movie!
  19. Yeah that's the one. Second only to the Star Wars Holiday Special for its hilarity (Though at least the Holiday Special has the distinction of introducing the world to Darth Fett's avatar)
  20. Heh, no. I mean: by Charlie Higson. Just came out at the end of April. The book reviews aren't great, but it is meant for readers 10-15 or so, so what can you expect. The second book in the series is on its way.
  21. A series of books is being published now that follows the adventures of a teenage Bond, meant for teenage readers - no crazy spy stuff or stupid crossovers with characters from the movies, just plain old teenage adventure stuff (kinda like Young Indy, I guess). I'm fairly certain it was a movie-version of that that Bloom was being considered for, but that fell through anyway. Though there are talks of letting Martin Campbell restart the Bond series with a younger Bond - like Batman Begins or The Sum of All Fears did for their respectives series - Bloom has never been linked to that part. Owen has consistently denied ever being talked to about the role, but I wouldn't put it past them to go after him for it. As for McMahon, I've never heard anything official about him being considered, most of the rumors about him being on the list were started by him. He's made no secret of the fact that he badly wants the role and thinks he should get it. I personally, think he's wrong for it and would be better suited as a Bond villain (or, say, Dr Doom) but that's just me.
  22. Actually, I've heard Beast would be a full make-up effect with no CGI, and though they did find a way to do it, it was very expensive and they couldn't fit it into the budget for the first movie. The Blob was supposed to originally appear in the first film, too, but was cut out for the same reaons. But anyway, yeah, he's perfect.
