  1. There's been a planned full-length Simpsons movie on the table for probably the better part of a decade now, but this is the first time it's been confirmed and given the greenlight. Let's just hope it doesn't spell the inevitable end of the series, like some tv-to-movies do (ala The X Files).
  2. Oh, but they should market it that way. Just for kicks.
  3. I have the worst - I mean the worst - luck when I play Monopoly. I'm the poor schmuck who pays to get out of jail only to go right back in before he can pass Go three times in a row! Nobody wants to play Pictionary with me anymore. Risk, however, I kick much ass at Risk. Put everyone on Papa New Guinea and just build up and build up... I'm gonna have to go with that one.
  4. Rush Hour 1 and 2, Red Dragon, After the Sunset. His directing is pretty tight, he's good with an ensemble cast, he knows how to shoot action and stunts. I think he's a more solid choice than Vaughn was. For some reason there's a real militant part of the movie-going public that thinks he's a hack. I really don't get it.
  5. I don't see why people are up in arms about Brett Ratner doing XMen. I think he'd do a fine job.
  6. I'm pretty sure the solo movie is planned to be a prequel about Weapon X, so they could still kill Wolverine off. Maybe they'll kill Storm at the beginning of the movie so they won't need to cater to Halle Berry anymore. As far as Moore movies go, From Hell is really the only good movie based on a Moore book, and ironically the only reason it was good was because it didn't stick to the material. The book had way too many layers and way too much exposition to make a faithful adaption and in that case the filmmakers knew what to get rid of and what to keep to make a concise story. Sure, it didn't have much of the brilliance of the book, but it could be appreciated on its own merits as a pretty good movie (unlike, oh say, LXG). I know I take potshots at the Wachowskis a lot on here, but come on. Based on their last few movies, I'd say editing long exposition into a tight and cohesive story is not really one of their strong points.
  7. From DarkHorizons: For directing, I'd vote for Bret Ratner. I think he'd be a pretty good choice. I wonder if those bits about the script are true? Arad has hinted that this script would really be controversial and that big stuff would happen, but would they really take a comic book movie and a money-making franchise that far?
  8. I really don't have high hopes for V. I think the Wachowskis have been going downhill since Bound. I don't like the idea of the charming and charismatic James Purefoy being replaced by the well-versed-in-Wachowski-speak Hugo Weaving (who is normally a great actor, I admit). And I honestly don't even think it's possible to adapt an Alan Moore book successfully into a two-hour movie.
  9. Oo, MH is adding categories - no fair.
  10. Heh, I almost used Dream On for regretting and The Show Must Go On for learning a lesson. Now I'm glad I didn't, I don't wanna copy anyone's
  11. I usually hate doing these because it shows my often completely unoriginal taste in music, but I'll give it a shot anyway. That was bloody hard. Not only did I try to find songs that'd fit me, but I also tried to make sure they weren't too obvious (in most cases), and that they're the type of song that can easily be edited into a movie scene without seeming intrusive. Maybe I thought about it too much, but I could definitely edit scenes around these songs.
  12. An R-rated cut of Elektra is still going to suck. I personally despise Elektra, because the more it stays in the spotlight, sucking, the less chance there will be of having a Daredevil sequel. And the R-rated cut of Daredevil deserves a sequel.
  13. I don't trust them to make good TMNT games anymore. They've come out with three in three years. The first one sucked, the second one sucked worse, and the third one gives you cancer when you turn it on.
  14. Meet the Fuckers (too easy) The Girl With the Pearl Necklace Sperm of Endearment The Legend of Teabagger Vance Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter Gives Head Beverly Hills Cock Cum in 60 Seconds National Pleasure Who's Eating Gilbert Grape? 15. When Athena listed Disney porns a couple years ago she forgot Pokeherhotass. Some more that don't really need changing. Anaconda Big Daddy Fists of Fury Blow Along Came Polly Shaft Blown Away Snatch Sin City And maybe: Ride Hard With a Vengeance (Or Ride Hard 2: Ride Harder) XXX-Men Natural Born Drillers CockTail The Chronicles of Bigdick School of Cock Imagetoff (featuring an ass the size of Texas that threatens the destruction of earth...luckily an expert team of drillers are called in to help penetrate it) The Cock (winners go home and fuck the prom queen...over and over and over...) Jack/Off Six Degrees of Masturbation Semen and a Little Lady Vibrator 3: Rise of the Machines And I'm going to hell for: The Passion of the Cock
  16. Man, I think we'd all just rather forget that the Clone Saga ever existed...
  17. IMDb has it at August 4th, 2006 but I'm sure that's pretty tentative at this point.
  18. I dunno, man, I just kinda dug when some of the kids who were only half-second cameos got bigger parts in X2. I just hope they're at least giving these kids a chance before deciding "well this part is bigger now so we need a bigger name actor".
  19. Was just gonna say the same thing, Jax. Shame they got rid of the guy that played Colossus. I thought he was perfect. I've got some faith in Vaughn, but I'm not fond of him rearranging the cast like this. By the way, those folks on Lost are assholes. "We'll kill you off if you take that movie role"? Dicks.
  20. Vinnie Jones = Bullet Tooth Tony in Snatch, Big Chris in Lock Stock & 2 Smoking Barrels. By the way, a friend of mine once suggested Sam Neil for Beast. I thought that was a good choice, but I like Grammer even better.
  21. It's sounding like the two Spidey villains are probably going to be Venom and Sandman, but none of it's official yet. Most people think Church is gonna be Sandman...is Topher gonna be Eddie Brock? And Nick, you don't know Kelsey "Dr. Frasier Crane" Grammer? Personally, I think he's a great choice for Beast. Like 2T, I'm a little iffy about Vinnie Jones as Juggernaut, but I'll hold off my final judgement until I see the costume. If they can actually make that cheesy costume look good on film then I'll go with it.
